Ask the Community - Marvelous Epoxy Flooring

What is the price difference between the standard epoxy flakes vs the metallic epoxy?

Flake systems start at around 2.75 a foot to 3.50. This is standard for 2 day installs. 1 day installs are a little more expensive.…

I wanted a quality install and was pretty particular about details like transitions to tile, baseboards, that I wanted to pull out old carpet, I was ordering the materials, etc. Paul and Daniel knew exactly what I was referring to regarding smooth transitions and immediately said "no problem" after others gave me a whole song and dance. They also provided a professional, accurate, and detailed estimate while clearly telling me what might cost more once they get in there (e.g. leveling the floor). Other companies either gave me really rough verbal estimates or overly specific (& wrong) estimates. Communication with the guys is fantastic. The work was done with the kind of craftsmanship I expected from my meticulous grandpa (that is.. they know what they're doing and do it properly!) The guys work fast, thoroughly, are kind and easy to have around. I had feedback on two small things while they worked.. no problem, they resolved them quickly and without issue. I can't recommend AZ Prestige enough.

Arizona Prestige Flooring exceeded our expectations from start to finish! Daniel was extremely professional, he provided us excellent advice and a very fair quote for the work being done. I used empire today because their tile matched my other floors the best. I had looked for tile at 10 places before deciding to use Empire Today. I asked Ray about the reviews and Ray told me that some were good, some bad but to him it seemed like the unhappy customers were the only ones doing reviews. I asked Ray who I was to call if there was an issue. He told me to call him and he would respond within minutes. I called him several times and he NEVER returned any of my calls. For 3 days I tried to reach him and no response. Ray shared he had worked in the tile business for 30 years and owned his own tile shop in Hawaii. I trusted him when he told me he would be there for any problems. Little did I know he was lying. I didn't discover most of the problems until after I had paid for the tile job-I should have waited for tile and grout to dry and then checked thoroughly before paying the balance!) The tilers told me not to walk on the floors for 24-48 hours after they left so I wasn't able to inspect their job before they left. Here were the problems I noticed with my job: 1. Mortar and grout were splashed 4 foot up the walls in the bedrooms. I spent 6 hours cleaning the walls. 2. Before I had the tile installed I painted all the woodwork (thinking I would be ahead in getting this done). After the job was done I had to paint most of the woodwork again. The workers cracked the woodwork in several places in all the rooms. None of the baseboards were cracked before they started the job. I had the baseboards replaced when I installed carpeting a few years ago. 3. Some of the grout was missing. Good thing they left some grout. I had to pay a handyman to fix that. 4. They broke the hinge off of the closet door in one of the rooms and never mentioned it. The door worked fine before they came. The piece was so damaged I had to replace it. How did that happen?? Brutal force and them not knowing how to take a door off. Handyman again! 5. They glued a closet guide to the new tile-it was crooked and the door would not move in the guide. I carefully scraped the guide off and had the handyman reset it. What a mess trying to remove the glue they used! 6. One of the closets is missing a 3 foot long by 1/2 inch wide piece of tile against the wall-I don't think they wanted to cut a small piece that was 1/2 inch wide. I didn't discover it until they left. They told me not to walk on the tile for 24-48 hours. I wasn't able to check the closets to make sure it was done properly. 6. They installed some poorly cut tile. I DID see that and told them it had to be redone. They argued some but did replace it. As you can see the job was not done to my expectations. These things were unacceptable. I asked Ray to call me. It has been 2 months and no word. Just make sure to read the reviews and don't believe everything you are promised. Where are you RAY???

The carpet we got was miserable quality compared with what was explained to us as high-quality. The warranty is no good when you refuse to pay the fee to have an inspector come out and look at the problem. My carpet is matted. It has buckles in it everywhere. It is pure trash. We will have this carpet ripped up and we will deal with a reputable company and get a higher quality carpet. My family was in the carpet business many years ago. My dad would have never treated his customers the way empire treated us when we called for warranty service. All I can say is lesson learned. Never, never again. Stay very far away from this company, as they are only interested in getting your money. Again, lesson learned for me. Take your time. Research the company you are dealing with. Had I taken the time to read their reviews. I would've never dealt with Empire. Even their responses to all of their horrible reviews are a joke. Pretend to care and make it look better. I don't think so. Someone needs to take legal action against this horrific company.

He was very communicative, not only professionally, but friendly as well. He was very upfront with price assurances based on my square footage and promotional pricing, etc. When I informed Rick, I was still in talks with a secondary provider, he warmly assured, "let me know and we will get you all taken care of like family." This proclamation was enough for me to know who I wanted to hire. When it came time to schedule, Rick had immediate dates available. But once I asked to not start until two days after the immediate date provided, to allow me more time to empty out my garage, Rick accommodated. I was very satisfied and excited. The technician, Jesse, arrived within the timeframe promised on the schedule date. Jesse presented himself very professionally. He explained each step of his process and what he will be doing in a very knowledgeable and professional manner (to the point where I had limited questions and no concerns). Jesse was able to work independently without bothering our day-to-day life until it was absolutely necessary. I would highly recommend Clean Air Epoxy to all my friends and family based on my description above and the quality of the product and attention to detail put into the job.
