They fixed electrical work on my VW that stumped other local shops I went to after throwing away diagnostic fees. If my car broke down in another state, I'd tow it back here to get it fixed. It's hard enough finding mechanics you can trust, let alone mechanics that know what they're doing. I plan to buy a new truck from them for my new LLC. I just called to get an oil change, they're booked three days out. They have 30 cars for oil changes per day (i asked), which speaks volumes, knowing all the competition right down the road. Just look at their G00gle reviews... almost five stars for 450+ reviews. For the most part people just come on yelp to complain.

He claimed it had been inspected bumper-to-bumper by his technicians and was completely road-ready. Well, that turned out to be a lie. Just a few months later, I had the car looked at by another dealership--and they found that two of the tires were dangerously worn, with the tread measuring under 3! They even provided video proof with the actual measuring tool showing the low tread. When I called Richard to address it, he brushed me off and said there was nothing he could do unless he "saw the tires." He also accused the other dealerships of lying, even though I had clear evidence. When I pointed that out, he had nothing to say and refused to reimburse or help in any way. Richard talks a good game, but he sold me an unsafe vehicle and took no accountability when called out. Please don't fall for his charm--he will lie to make a sale and leave you hanging afterward. Go somewhere reputable. You deserve honesty.

Junk Cars, Unprofessional, and Clueless - AVOID G and S Auto Sales at All Costs…read more Buying a 2012 Volvo XC60 from G and S Auto Sales has been one of the worst decisions I've ever made. This place is a complete scam operation disguised as a dealership. Just days after buying the car, the check engine light came on. I brought it back immediately, and instead of actually fixing the problem, they just shut the light off and told me it was "nothing serious" -- supposedly something that wouldn't matter until the next emissions test, which they claimed had already been passed. Fast forward a few weeks, and I got a notice that the car needed an emissions test -- which it has now failed MULTIPLE times. Since then, I've had to pay out-of-pocket for a new battery, transmission, catalytic converter, and O2 sensors. This car has drained my bank account, and every time I went back to them for help, they either brushed me off or pretended they fixed it. Nothing was ever actually resolved. The final straw? I left the car with them for FOUR business days to finally get the issue fixed. When I came in to check on it, the car hadn't been touched. I asked to speak with the manager, and when I finally found him, he was literally more focused on bidding in an online auction than talking to me about the car they've failed to fix since day one. The mechanics have no clue what they're doing, and the manager is completely unprofessional, careless, and shady. It's clear they're just trying to flip broken cars, silence complaints, and squeeze as much money as they can out of customers while dodging accountability.

I would first like to say that, so far, the vehicle I purchased from Yantic auto center is quality…read moreand I have not had any issues with it, although it's been less than a week since I've owned it and based on my experience with the people who work here, I'm almost expecting something to go wrong with it. First, there was no sit-down opportunity like at most dealerships. I was not seen for more than 10 minutes at a time and was asked every time to come back the next day over the course of 8 days to sign a paper or to do something else when I could have easily had everything done and drove off with the car in one day if they had taken a couple hours to sit down and work with me. This was extremely frustrating since I work until 5, as most people do, and they close at 5 every day so it affected my work life as well as personal life over more than a week. There were 2 days over this period where I was unable to make it in and Carlos called me multiple times and texted me multiple times while I was at work to come in when I had already told him and the owner I could not make it to the dealer over the weekend, when in reality I could have had the car days prior if they would just sit and talk with me at all. Everything was extremely rushed and difficult to understand when going through paperwork, I have never been so confused while talking to a professional of any industry as I was in YAC. When my boyfriend or I would ask what things on the paperwork meant or why they were marked certain ways we were given short or unclear answers that I feel were somewhat misleading and told to me as if it was all normal. They marked every paper with "no warranty" although the owner told me they have a 90 days free warranty and I had purchased and extended warranty on top of that which I had to ask to get proof of and I was told I'd get it in an email which never came. I had financed my car through NFCU, and when Mike (owner) wrote the amount of the car I was going to finance on the check I told him he was maxing the check out when the cost was $515 less than that. He told me that they would be refunding the difference and it was "standard" to write the highest amount the check would allow before processing. Well I received no refund upon picking up the vehicle and had to ask twice for proof of the extended warranty we paid for. When I called about this they told me I could pick it up "tomorrow" again, because apparently it's impossible to do anything in one day here. My boyfriend picked up the check the next day which was $463 and not $515 like it should have been. When he questioned them why the check was less than it should have been they said it was for the 2% fee their card machine uses, which I think really should have been waved considering I'll be paying way more interest than that to the bank for the $515 they overcharged me for. When my boyfriend asked why it was overcharged in the first place they said they "misjudged the cost of registering the vehicle" however, the registration should have been and WAS in fact rolled into my total that I already signed for. When my boyfriend called them out for it they couldn't give any answer besides there was "miscommunication". I find that ridiculous considering I literally told the owner he was overcharging me as he was writing the check and I think I communicated that very clearly. If you're looking to be swindled and over charged and harassed by the employees for over a week of your time, you've found the place. Update: my starter on this car died approx 3 weeks after owning this car. They replaced it under my warranty Would also like to mention I have attempted to post this review on Google multiple times and they have taken it down each time or disputed it

I was told they could not give me a warranty because I paid cash for the vehicle. Turns out in CT this is illegal. When asked they did not respond to my request to honor a 90 day warranty as is the state law. Since buying this car from them less than 4 months ago I have put $2000 into it, and it is broken down once again with a possible $5000 suspension issue!! This is unacceptable, and the dealer has offered NO help. I would not recommend them for your car purchases. Their "check" that they sign off on doesn't even include oil, as I needed an oil change 4 weeks after buying, and this seems like the simplest of things they could have done. Not to mention the huge problems they missed/didn't even look at.

I travel full time, coast to coast, north to south, east to west, on and off road, throughout the U.S. in a 2005 Pacifica. My car requires consistent maintenance due to the wear and tear of extreme use. I happened across Dream Auto five years ago when I was outfitting my vehicle for full time travel. They removed all but the driver's seat to accommodate the interior, camper-like build. They also performed a few engine repairs. There were some wiring repairs they couldn't make, but they correctly diagnosed the problem, which I had fixed at another shop. While visiting family in Connecticut I returned to Dream Auto to have my vehicle checked out for some whining noises it was making. I always get a second opinion when major repairs are required, which was the case this time. The Dream Auto mechanics correctly diagnosed drive shaft, sway bar, and shocks issues, which they repaired. I ordered the parts through Amazon, which saved me about a thousand dollars. Dream Auto doesn't do wheel alignments, which I needed after the drive shaft was installed. So I had that done at another shop. Following that, I heard another unfamiliar noise. I returned to Dream Auto where they diagnosed wheel bearing and axle damage, confirmed once again with a second opinion. I ordered the parts, which I had delivered to the shop, and Dream Auto performed the labor. Now my old car drives like she's just off the assembly line. I couldn't be more pleased with her performance. The owner/manager, Antonio, and his brother, a top notch mechanic, one of at least two others, provide a family-like atmosphere, excellent communication, and quality diagnostics and repairs. Whenever I'm in Connecticut, Dream Auto is where I go for the best of the best in car repairs.
