After calling and visiting 9 other embroidery businesses and being told that my project was not possible - my last call was to Marty's bag works and in reality it should have been my first. The project was not an easy one and would take some thought and several processes to get it done, for me it was a labor of love as it was something for my son's recruit class in the Frederick County Fire & Rescue academy. My labor of love soon became theirs - between Angela and Leslie we soon had a multi step plan with many suggestions and the assurance that they would be able to do the job. The flag they made was gorgeous beyond expectations - incorporating hand drawn artwork by one of the recruits turned into a beautiful embroidered centerpiece, adding names, sayings and other important information and then hand sewing it into a flag The price was fantastic, the workmanship top notch and the positive attitude and customer service was something I could not find any place but Marty's. After an exhausting search for a place that monograms clothing, I finally found Marty's Bag Works!!! The owners could not have been nicer and were extremely helpful. The shop itself is impressive, with a capacity to handle multiple small jobs and large ones as well - very professional. They have a wide variety of items available for monogramming, including the most adorable baby gifts. I loved the grosgrain, pink and white striped baby swing that can be monogrammed on the front and the birth announcement stuffed animals. Many thanks to Bryan and his skill at Laser Engraving. I had purchased a large clear acrylic tray from a high end vendor. Unfortunately, they could not engrave the amount of characters I needed on the tray. So happy I found Bryan who laser engraved it for me. Bryan took the time to help me choose a font & size appropriate. It was completed very quickly within 24 hrs. The tray looks fantastic! Very happy with it. My family has used Marty's Bag Works for other projects over the years, towels, canvas repair and most recently new upholstered boat cushions. Marty's did an awesome job for me! I brought them my original 30 year old knee board on which the strap had torn and the Velcro had worn off towing my kids around the South River. They put a new strap and new Velcro on in 2 days. Their design was even better than the original strap in that the stitching to hold it on the board is now further away from the U-Bolt which thereby the tearing force on the strap. The knee board should be good for another generation of kids. I've been recommending Marty's to all my friends ever since they repaired an old boat cover for me a decade ago. Owners helped me with a special baby shower gift; a stuffed animal with the baby's name embroidered and a cute embroidered onesie.
