I cannot say enough about this banquet hall. The process of working with the staff from beginning to end was flawless. Miguel, the manager, is beyond professional, enthusiastic, friendly and accommodating. He is extremely knowledgeable and calm which made the process seamless!!! The food was delicious. The cake was delicious. The bartenders were friendly and enthusiastic! The staff was friendly and enthusiastic. We planned an anniversary party, and our guests were truly impressed. My 40th class reunion was held here. I don't drink but discovered the high cost of my ticket was for the open bar. The food was fair, although, I was impressed that they had a fish selection that wasn't something "deep fried". The venue was nice - not great, but pleasant. For the size of our group - about 150-200, (when we graduated we were nearly 10 times that much, I ranked number 34 :-)), it was roomie. The parking was accommodating. Their signage was a bit poor - I mistakenly became part of the wedding party in the other room - oops! But we didn't hear them and I suppose they didn't hear us - but we were a quiet reserve group any way. I chose to give them five stars because of how they quietly and expeditiously handled my little emergency - such to the point that only the people at my table knew there was a problem. They thought I was going into insulin shock, because I couldn't talk and was motioning for the sugar, (I am not a diabetic). As it was, a red pepper flake settled in just the right spot in my throat and was inflaming my esophagus. VERY! PAINFUL! I got up from my table and went towards the kitchen area. They did everything just as I motioned and asked for without question. I knew I needed sugar to counteract the hot, then real cream to re-coat my throat. It's too long of a story to say how I know these things, but it works. I returned to the table and was able to speak and all was well. Five star staff! read more

Highly Recommend this Banquet for any formal event. I had booked this place 17 years ago, when I got married and they fantastic. Recently, we just had our daughter's Quince this past Friday 10.29.21 and again they did an excellent job. Not only did they decorate the banquet hall beautifully (I cried in awe), the service was amazing. The staff (Management "Mr. Vargas"/servers) went above and beyond for our us, daughter and our guests. My fiancé and I had our wedding shower at Martinique and we were so happy with everything! Although our family threw the shower for us, I know that the staff was extremely accommodating to their wants and needs. Julie, the manager, was a big part of the process and was a huge help the whole day as she walked around a lot asking our guests if they needed anything. A awesome little touch is that they put our name and a few pictures (even our dog!) on their big sign outside of the venue. We got married in the Garden and the reception was held at the Grand Ball room. The staff were always helpful and flexible during the wedding planning. The food was delicious and you can tell it was freshly cooked. I was a little disappointed that the bartender didn't have all the ingredients to make my drink. They did at the food tasting. Horrible. My aunt and uncle celebrated 25 years of marriage and 50 years of life here. This is where their wedding anniversary was so it had many memories for them however this experience was not pleasurable. Cheering on my aunt and uncle whom recently walked into the room I stood by my chair at a table to only be pushed by the wait staff. The soup was coming out but instead of him saying excuse me or walking around me I was pushed. Then the camera man, whom I believe name was Melvin, did not want to take a family photo. I have kids in my family which of course takes a little time to get them to actually pay attention but Melvin was not patient. He quickly snapped the photos with us being ready or not. I didn't see anyone get a copy of the photo, it was free for guest since my aunt and uncle paid I advance, so I wanted to be sure we had a copy, minutes after noticing no one had a photo I went to get one. Going over the pictures Melvin came to me saying those photos are crap. Most of them where my uncle and aunt, why would you call them crap?! I found the photo I was looking for in the pack, of my family and I. I told him I wanted this one, again it's free, instead of him helping me place it in the frame he stood there upset. Very rude!! The best thing about this place was the DJ (whom was a family friend. That we hired. Not a staff of this place) and the open bar. The bartender was great! (If Yelp allowed and wasn't for the bartender I would give this place zero stars) My aunt and uncle paid over 1,500 to enjoy this night but the staff did not seem to care. My husband and I got married on April 22nd of this year. Dave was so polite and friendly. Plus we had shopped for a venue for a while when my cousin(who also got married here) told me about this place. It was great. The food was delicious, and space was huge. The entire reception was worry-free as the staff ensured that everything was precisely as we asked. The hall itself looked beautiful and the food was delicious. The customer service was HORRIBLE! I have never been treated so badly and ignored in my life. The waitress didn't want to serve my table food and the owner acted as if he didn't care and showed very little effort to make the situation better. After arriving to the event, begged for our plate that we purchased like everyone else we were told to SHARE 4 plates between 6 people that I didn't even know personally. The staff finally decided to bring a pitcher of water but we were left to fetch our own glasses. This was the worst experience I have EVER had in my life! I recently attended my sister's wedding shower at The Martinique and everything was fabulous. All the set up was ready when we came in to add little touches for our theme. The tables were set up beautifully with the colors we had chosen. There were so many details to the day that did not go unnoticed. Such examples would be the customized hologram on the dance floor area with the name of our bride and groom, special pictures of the happy couple featured on the outside marquee and the absolutely gorgeous floral arrangements. I am currently an expecting mom and the Manager, Julie L. even had non-alcoholic champagne so I could partake in the mimosas! It was a perfect day for our family. read more

It really was as good as it gets. I do not think I could have needed one thing changed to make my event successful. The staff, starting with Francisco, was amazing, He was my initial contact, but when he went on vacation, both Daisy and Julie picked up as if I had started with them all along. Our color scheme was black on black and it was absolutely beautiful. Their team recommended a bling bow and it set off the decor very nicely. On the day of the event, Julie's calm demeanor and reassurance that all would work well, specifically with technology challenges, calmed my spirit. And, all did work out. The staff is very experienced and knowledgeable about how to accommodate to ensure smooth functionality of technology. The wait staff was also amazing. Each server was courteous and very respectful.The food came out a little slower than I expected, but it was pipping hot and very good when it arrived. The guest were all very well pleased with their meal and the service. The Martinique, specifically the Celebrity Suite, was the perfect location for my event. Management was amazing as well as the entire staff, and they were very professional. The facility was clean and well kept, the food was hot and tasty and the venue was affordable. I had my wedding here recently and I made plans with Daisy the entire time and she was very efficient, and although the day was perfect for me, my family had trouble with the mgr Steve the day of. We were promised Modelo for the open bar package, and received MGD instead which was a disappoint for my mexican family. Steve charged us for a 10th table that was already given to us on our floor plan by Daisy, and when we told him that he said, "well she made a mistake but you still have to pay"- our best man had to dish out 250 and another balance I had already paid which they did not record. (and when we moved everyone off the 10th table he would not give a refund saying, "We dont give out refunds once you're charged". Steve was also rude to my mother and tias, who were out in front having intimate conversations, in which he kept harrassing them to go back inside (this rule was never told to us that we cant be outside the entry door). Overall the issues had my maid of honor in tears, so I will not recommend this hall to anyone. read more

I had my birthday party at the Martinique, Sept. 29, 2017 and I was totally pleased. What a beautiful and elegant place. My guest were so pleased and impressed with the elegant room and awesome service. The food was superb, and warm when served, the staff made sure people had what they needed and came back to check if we needed anything else. The dance floor was perfect and again people were pleased. I received phone calls, text, and emails from my guest for almost two weeks, telling me what a wonderful time they had. I had about 160 guest and we had plenty of room to dance and move around. I felt like a move star and didn't want the evening to end. My out-of-town guest stayed at the hotel next door, which meant once they arrived they didn't have far to go. Upon arrival I was satisfied with the layout of the Banquet hall; I love the separate restrooms, as well as the open bar (which is usual for wedding in banquet halls). Yet, the price of the venue with taxes and fees considering location is excessively high. When asked about any collaboration with hotels I was told I would need to do pricing myself they don't work with any hotels. The fees tacked on makes it unattractive for my price range. For the same price I could have the wedding and reception at a cruise liner at navy pier. I found another venue at a lower price. read more

But from the moment we walked into the office of the Martinique, Julie and the staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The venue offered installment payments that made our dream wedding a reality. As we made our monthly payments we grew to love the staff and know them pretty well. Daisy became the new manager, the transition was seamless and on the day of our wedding 11/09/18 we didn't have to worry about anything. The venue staff was friendly and readily available and Daisy ensured that everything went smoothly. The food was great and the grand ballroom is beautiful! We took advantage of the space with our photographer. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone! There was minor misunderstanding but they worked with us to make things work out.
