Attended our friends 50th wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was great and so was the food. Very clean facility.

My husband and I had our wedding here at the end of July. George and Niko and his whole staff were amazing!!! So kind, friendly and we felt like family. I was definitely spoiled in having everything I needed and all my request were met. The food is phenomenal! Our guest kept saying how great everything was. You will NOT be disappointed. Thank you George and everyone at Crystal Sky Banquets for meeting all expectations on our special day. My husband and I will continue to have special events here because of George, his whole staff and the treatment and care we received throughout the whole planning process. read more

Great place my family has had affairs hear for the last 30 years George is a great guy I

Had an event here over the weekend for almost 200 people and it was fantastic. The venue, the staff, the food all were great! Really it all stems from the owner, George. From day one, almost a year ago, he has been a pleasure to work with. He is extremely friendly and accommodating. It felt like our event was his own personal event and he did everything he could to make sure that everything was handled perfectly. Will definitely do business with again. read more

I had my husband's funeral luncheon here it was so very over accommodating everybody was super super nice from management to servers they also sent us home with extra food which is unheard of at a lot of places I definitely recommend this place for all occasions read more

We are planning a quinceañera here and it's in August so I will update once it's done and passed. I visited a few halls as planning has been extensive and no one I went to has been as helpful, friendly and accommodating. From tips on all sorts of topics to answering all out sometimes detailed questions this father-son duo is great. The tasting was great and they are so accommodating. Letting us use the hall days before the big day to practice with the choreographer is going to be good. When we asked if that was possible for no extra charge, he didn't even hesitate and said sure and told us what times would work best! Love this place so far. To be continued...(dramatic music!) read more

I was impressed with the food and the service here. Greek potatoes and pasta were superb!! The thing stopping me from a 5 star review was 2 things: Bathroom in the North Hall had a sewer gas smell. Bartender was unprofessional. I brought my used water glass up to the bar and asked for a refill. She took my dirty glass and stuck it into the ice bin to refill it. This is not allowed in food service. I got the feeling that she alone did this. Everyone else seemed professional. read more

This is an amazing place for events. We planned a small event and had great service. Management and staff were very accommodating. I recommend this to sky banquets and give them five stars. Thank you Kim Serrano read more

Just visited the Crystal Sky Banquettes in McCook Ill. We had a very small gathering for my niece's baby shower. Let me tell from the 1st call to leaving the event at the end this place is first class all the. Immaculately clean, beautiful setup. Food and drink was amazing. The staff was extremely tidy and very attentive. The owner and host George is the best of the best. He makes sure every detail is exactly to your liking. He greets you at the door and he is last to leave the building. I am having all my future gatherings here and recommend to anyone looking to have an event. Big or small this is place is it. Had my wedding here 5 years ago - so happy to be back... Judith the bartender was great. Cheers George and Niko!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Crystal Sky. The food was quite good - basic chicken, vesuvio potatoes, veggies, Turano bread yum. The facility was clean. The staff professional. Ample parking. read more

I just attended a wedding here, and since I was a bridesmaid, I also attended the tasting prior to the wedding. The food was better at the tasting than at the actual wedding, unfortunately. I'd say this isn't by far the fanciest place for an event, but it's pretty standard for a banquet hall. Positives: very clean, helpful staff (George is great), typical banquet decor, tasty food (cream of chicken soup and greek chicken is delicious) Negatives: it's really far from the city, the food actually served at the wedding was a little bland and tough (but that could also be because the reception started late) read more

Cordial, professional polite staff and owner, great service: recommended.

The three stars is purely for the interior decorating, as it's very beautiful and clean inside of the building. Service was good too, but food was lacking; big time. The DJ (who I think is an employee of the banquet hall) was awful. He had nothing but Frank Sinatra, Kenny G, and current radio hits in which he had "burned" on to CDs from what I only can assume was Limewire or another program like it. Oh, and the music was so loud that EVERYONE was not only ringing in the ears when they left (can you say conductive hearing loss!?), but everyone had asked him to turn it down some, which he did not. The bar was another story. Granted I'm sure that the bride and groom didn't pay for a full bar (they are very young, and limited money) but they had only a few selections of spirits. I should have stuck with beer. The manager did walk around read more

I would have to rate this place at a three which is okay. If I was judging only the ambience and style of the place I would have to give it a five. The facility itself is beautiful, and great for a classy event. Here comes the but,,, but the food wasn't too impressive. I attended a luncheon at this location, I had the chicken breast, steamed vegetables, and potatoes. I ate the food because I paid for the ticket and I was hungry. The waiter service was pretty slow also. Impressive place concerning appearance, but don't expect much in regards to service and food. read more

We used them for our wedding venue and am SOOOO happy we did. Great prices, great food, and even better customer service. George and Nicco were so patient and informative with us. They responded right away to any questions. We went in to set up hall the night before! They even allowed us take 2 cases of wine home to remove labels and put our own! Everything went smoothly and I am so happy with my gorgeous reception! read more

The first thing I want to say George (Owner) went above and beyond his duties. He and his staff did exceptional job from the food to the decor. I will definitely recommend crystal sky for any type of party. I had my wedding here 9-28-12 and everything came out perfect. Crystal Sky Banquets was the first banquet hall we went to see and George told us to please look around for more banquet halls and compare. I honestly could say we went to about 10 banquet halls and nobody could give us what George was offering. Perfect place and will recommend to my family and friends. read more

If you are planning any kind of formal affair you simply must have it here! The hall is beautiful, the food is great and you can't find better service. The owner is friendly and paitient and will work with you to create the day of your dreams. My family has had several weddings and events with this hall and every one of them has been satisfied. Ask for George he will treat you like family, and you will be blown away by the over all elegance of the space! read more

2013 Labor Day Newly Weds My Sister referred me to Crystal Sky Banquet Hall located in McCook IL She spoke so highly of George and Kathy, I just had to give him a call. So I did, I spoke with George the owner just over the phone I were very impress with George he talk to me as if I was a family member, and not a paying customer looking for a venue he gave me tip's on what to look for while visiting the different places, that same day over the phone I made several appointments with George and others. Crystal Sky's was the third place I visited that day. My first thought outside of Crystal Hall was I like the location, and plenty of parking. Once I got inside, I was greeted with open arms, and I do mean I was greeted with open arms from George with a big welcoming smile. I sat down and talk with George and I let him know what my needs were. My search came to an end that day at that moment. George met every need and more from that point until my special day I was treated like an princess, I never had a double that I wouldn't have anything but a perfect wedding at Crystal Sky. The day of my wedding everything was Beautiful. The Greek Chicken and Potatoes soup was delicious, 2 week later I'm still hearing about how good the food was and how everyone had a great time. If you looking for a banquet hall Crystal Sky Hall is the place, and I will be telling my story with everyone. Thank you Geroge & Kathy and Staff, for making this a very special day Juliet & Larell Walker read more

Celebrated my wedding and was very pleased with the reception, the staff at the Crystal Sky Banquets once again made every effort to make this a memorable and perfect event. The food was delicious, the service exceptional, and my guest very please!! I definitely recommend it!! read more

I attended a wedding here about a year ago and I have to say that for the budget the bride was on everything seemed very well put together. There was tons of parking space (always a good thing). The food was delicious, everything from the soup, salad, and bread, all the way up to the chicken and potatoes. I don't know what bakery they work with but the cake was absolutely amazing, me and my fiancé are still talking about that cake to this day. It is not the fanciest place to have an event but if you put a little work into the decorating you can make it your own. The owner George was very helpful and easy to talk to over the phone and in person, seeing that me and my fiancé are considering this place for my wedding as well. read more

George is a great contact there. From the start the whole staff was respectful and polite. The attention given to our wants and needs, was by far the best I've experienced out of the 8 or so banquet halls I either spoke over the phone to or visited in person. We just had our reception today and I am writing this while it is fresh of all the details of my experience. First off, George is a busy guy but finds time for you just as he finds time for the next possible client. I respect that as it shows that he wont short you cause he has business anyway. For example, while speaking with him in person, another 2 party rep's came to speak to him about their party in the next month or so. He politely said "excuse me" and went to shake their hand and told them that he needed a few min. to talk to me. Instead of some of the other places where they just said "Here is our packages and menus please let us know if we can go forward" George actually went into details and reviewed everything. We had our reception at the Skylite West Banquet hall on Ogden in berwyn. I have to admit when I first arrived I thought it was not going to hold enough. Oh was I wrong, we had 200+ people in that room and it felt like we didn't even make a dent in the place, 2 bars, 1 on each side of the room, and 2 crystal chandeliers! The dj is your choice and not provided by the hall so don't worry about the review about the dj, as it is the person who is paying for the event's responsibility to hire one. The waitstaff was attentive to everyone's needs, and all were clean and precise. Now I know nobody is perfect however, if I had to choose a place where quality and price meet, this place is really close to it. Other places had alot of food but not great quality food, huge space but very outdated and old fashioned. The Skylite west is owned by the same person that owns the crystal sky by the way, just to clear up any confusion. Anyway, thats all I got, call George or Niko and ask them to look at the place, get a tasting if you like how it looks and believe me it will all work out in the end. Hope this helps a fellow looker...... read more

I had my engagement party here about 6 months ago. That night was a unforgettable night for me and my fiance I loved every second of my party. George by far is the best person to work with he is very accommodating and will always make sure that its a party you will never forget. I had no complaints from guest and most importantly no complaints came from me or my fiance . The food was great and the service exceeded my expectations. Now that the engagement party is over and now ready to move on to the next step(WEDDING) we have once again contacted George to move forward with the wedding taking place at his venue. So if your looking at venues you definitely need to check out Crystal Sky Banquets you will have no regrets. Thanks George for working with us on such a special occasion. We had our wedding and reception here on July 21, 2012 at 11am, it was so remarkable and the service that George, Nick, and other staff gave to us before and on our wedding day is beyond what we could have imagine. Amazing! We had our 8th grade graduation dance here in June. Each and every staff member went above and beyond to make sure that our students were treated to a nice afternoon. They even made sure that the teachers were taken care of and enjoyed a nice lunch while the students were eating. We have been to places where I felt the service was poor because they were "just kids" but that definitely wasn't the case here. The students loved the food choices and there was plenty for everybody. All that attended were grateful for such a wonderful experience. Great prices, food, and out of this world customer service! read more
