This time with my daughter (8), two sons (3)(1). We also invited little friends. One of those other friends was also (8.) We get there and they turned us away. Cold, no. They didn't let us stay even after explaining we had droved from far away and all the children were ready to play. They mentioned it was listed on their website that the play area is only for 5 and under. I go to their website and if you scroll all the way to the bottom you see something that says "modern play cafe for children 5 & younger." It does not say you will be turned away if you have older children. I mean if you scroll up to the rules. No where in there does it say older siblings will not be allowed. Is management / ownership not aware that some kids are allergic to latex, and that latex is a huge choking hazard? As I've been here for 10 minutes, two balloons have come off the arch. We reserved our tickets for the All Day Drop In Play! two weeks in advance because we were uncertain of how popular and/or busy they are. We went on Monday shortly after they had opened and they were surprisingly busy. Besides us, there were at least 20 other children. It was likely due to the then upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. The front of the venue is a store, the middle section is a café, and the back section is the indoor play area. Shoes are not allowed in the play area but it seemed like some parents violated the rule so long as they were not caught. The play area is not overly large but there were quite a variety of toys that kept our girls entertained for our 90-minute stay. Our girls focused on the slides, kitchen sets, and inflatable animals. The coat section tucked next to the play area is a bit awkward. I am uncertain if the venue also uses that area for storage because there are some large decorative items blocking off part of the shelves and cubbies making it difficult to hang coats and/or place backpacks especially on a busy day like the Monday that we went. read more

What a cute playplace. I have been to bigger playplaces but despite the size of this place versus others.. THIS WAS PERFECT. I think this is because it truly does cater to the under 5 yr old set. Many times i have gone to playplaces which say it's for under a certain age and you are pretty darn sure there are preteens masquerading as tall 7 yrs olds. . I know. I am not a new mom, so I can tell a 7 yr old vs an 11 yr old! but not at this place! Because all the kids there were pretty much the same age, my kids had a wonderful and safe time. There was enough for them to keep them engaged and active. Because they could see me and I could see them, they didn't feel the need to constantly search for me, so I could get alot of work done, which is helpful bc I am a remote worker. The place is bright, fast and free wifi, and also they have snacks and coffee for purchase. As a twin mom who sometimes forgets.. this is great to have . Also a store in the front. I will be back to get a few items and on a day where they do not have preschool, will definately bring them back. Waterlemon kids is a super cute spot! We've played here, shopped here and most recently hosted a party here. Every interaction has been 100%. When I shopped here, I asked Nina (the owner) if she had a specific item (a hard to find back to school flag) she had 2 left and set one aside for me. The party we hosted was originally canceled on my behalf last minute due to my child having an illness and having to go the the ER. Nina communicated with me and let me reschedule my party for months later with no penalties or extra fees. I appreciated her understanding and will always recommend Waterlemon to anyone! Brought my 9-month-old here because we've been getting stir crazy this winter! It was the perfect cure for the winter crazies. The place is super cute and bright, very clean, full of really fun toys. They have a "crawlers" section so that the little ones don't get mowed over by the big kids, and so they don't get in the way either. It's clear that this play space was designed by parents; everything is set up perfectly for the way kids play. The staff was very nice, the rules are clear and make sense, and it was really affordable for a visit and completely worth the money. There's a little cafe in full sight of the play area where parents of older kids can relax and have a coffee. I'd highly recommend visiting here, especially when the weather is bad and playing outside or going to the park isn't an option! When we saw this new spot online, we had to add it to our weekly cabin fever escape routine. It is super clean, which I appreciate with a two year old and the toys were mostly wooden and non-toxic. The curated play selection was very well chosen. I don't think there was a corner my little passed up. I did not partake in the cafe options but did see lots of moms with coffees and small snacks. Overall, the place is super Insta-worthy if you are as into photographing your kids as I am. I was a little taken aback when I had to pay for my 4 month old as a "crawler," since he and most other 4 mo. olds I know are far from crawling. The staff was friendly, the play space bright, but it felt sparse, and I was pretty disappointed in the overall age and variety of toys. The toys, while from good quality, recognizable brands, were quite worn, there was next to nothing in the playhouse, and everything seemed to be missing a bit or piece. Granted, there were several other children already playing in the space when we arrived, so I'm sure pieces got scattered and squirreled away but I was overall disappointed in the admission cost and worn state of the toys available. I have visited this playroom a handful of times and have done several pop ups. My initial thought was "wow, what a cool, modern space!" I am planning my daughter's first birthday and once again, Watermelon came to mind. As aesthetically pleasing it is to the eye in PHOTOS, I quickly remembered why I don't and will never spend a dime here anymore. The toys look old, some are missing pieces, and it lacks diversity...same ol toys every time. On occasion there are different areas, but I see many kids get bored easily and honestly one hour tops does it for my littles. The spot to hang coats/shoes is chaotic. I tried using a pass that was gifted and I was not able to use it because it was from 2020 (I tried using it in 2022 and you would think this pass was still valid because there was no expiration date!) I ordered a 1/2 dozen of balloons and by the time I got home the balloons were half way deflated. It wasn't hot the day I picked them up either! It seemed like they were blown up the day before and had been sitting there. On top of that, the space itself fails to be inclusive to non-caucasian clients. As I stated in the beginning, I used to do the yearly Santa photo op and last year was my last and final year of supporting this space. Each family got a "say cheese!" but my little family got "say queso!" from the owner. I was appalled! Yes, we are a latino family, but the comment was so unnecessary. After reading about racial encounters in a forum with the owners/staff, I had to come on here and write a review because this incident did it for me. read more

We've been here for a private play time and a petite party. I love that staff is very COVID safe-they wear masks, take temperatures of guests before letting them into the play area, sanitize in between play times, have hand sanitizer available for guests etc. so I feel safe bringing my daughters here. Aleah went above and beyond to make sure that my daughter had a great 2nd birthday. She checked in beforehand to confirm details. She was very friendly and checked in throughout the party to see if we needed anything. The decorating for the party was so cute and exactly what I was envisioning. We were unable to have a 1st birthday party for my daughter last year due to the shutdown so it was really nice for her to be able to experience a birthday party while keeping everyone safe. I love that they have a lot of options for imaginary play at Waterlemon yet it's not too overwhelming because they have it organized in a really nice way. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! experience. I visited this location today to inquire about hosting a birthday party for my child and the one employee that was working there was not welcoming at all. When asked to give additional information about using this location as an event space, she just gave me a flyer and told me to find more information on the website. She refused to show me the space that I could utilize for the event and seemed disgusted to service me. There was another family there enjoying a play date with their little one(of a different race) and she treated them with such grace. It makes me wonder if my race had an impact on the treatment I received? I hope not. For the small amount of time I was there, she kept her back turned to me and began to blow up balloons. Super disgusting. I'm saddened by this encounter. I would not recommend to any of my friends, family, or colleagues. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place and the owner, Nina. We held a baby shower there over the weekend and it was great! The space itself was perfect which is why I chose it to begin with. It's intimate which worked perfect for our size group and clean, bright, and warm. Additionally Nina was SO helpful for the actual event. My crew (read family) other than my Mom, didn't show up to help decorate beforehand, and Nina helped with everything. Honestly if she hadn't have been there I would have been super stressed. She not only physically helped put things up but also gave suggestions on how to decorate. When you only have 30 minutes to set up and aren't familiar with the space and don't have all the help you counted on, this was a God send. She was within reach throughout, served as the "DJ" at some points, and helped clean up as well. And for those concerned about COVID, everything was clean, she provided a link to their guidelines which I shared with the guests, and took everyone's temperature as they came in. I honestly can't say enough good things. Hosting an event can be stressful and Waterlemon makes it a point to take the stress away. I highly recommend them for your event. Waterlemon is beautiful - what I wish my house looked like in my magazine fantasies. Well thought-out selection of toys, designed with parent comfort in mind, and friendly staff/owners. It really is a 5 star place. I only took away one star because it's a bit pricey (which I don't blame them for, it's a fancy sort of place), which will keep us from being able to visit regularly. The boutique items are really cool, but I can't justify a $35 T-shirt for my toddler. Parents who can, however, you would love their unique clothing and gifts!
