Hey fellow Yelpers! This was my first time going to the Target in the Hodgkins, IL location. It was really big! There's 2 entrances to this Target. I wasn't really looking for anything specific, but I had some returns and wanted to casually browse around to try to find some deals. I didn't get any Starbucks, but that's definitely the fanciest Starbucks in a Target I've ever seen in my life. Bathroom: The bathroom is located in the front of the store towards the middle near the checkout area. The bathroom was very clean! Always love a clean public bathroom! Customer Service: The staff were friendly. I went when it wasn't busy and didn't even have to wait in line. The cashier was friendly and provided excellent customer service. Merchandise: This Target location had a lot of great inventory. Lately, I've been shopping in the clearance sections at Targets and I always find a really good deal on clothing items in particular. Overall Experience: Overall, I had a great shopping experience at Target at the Hodgkins location. I totally recommend this location. It's towards the end of the plaza, so you can't miss it and there are so many other good stores in the plaza as well. I have never felt so unsafe after shopping at a target. I experienced being followed in the store and in the parking lot as well. I have been to Walmart and never felt this level of fear. I would not go to this store at night. The layout of this target is not what I am accustomed to from other target stores. It is like a maze to find certain items. I would not recommend this store. read more

Great service and food items and clothes , large store for shopping, clean bathroom, service dogs are allowed , Starbucks for coffee, sandwiches by boar head are the best , whole lane with candy and cookies, produce is great read more

Target! What can I say? This gun brightly lit store has a lot to explore. There is something for everyone in this store. The store layout is different but still easy to maneuver through store. It is always clean and employees are always readily available to help customers. Recommended. read more

I found the layout of this location to be slightly confusing. Staff kept pushing carts and merchandise almost into people. There were staff around directing people to shorter checkout lines. Cashier was not that friendly. read more

Had the best experience with the cashier named Gina ! she was the sweetest person ever I had a really bad day and she made me forget all about it by spreading kindness. I was in a rush because my kids were acting up and she assisted me with efficiency and kindness ! I will be back again :) read more

This is your typical Target, but they have a beauty studio inside, I haven't seen any other Targets offering this yet. When I was there they didn't have anyone offering makeovers or anything, it was just there. They also have employees walking around that section CONSTATLY asking you if you need help. That's kind of annoying, if I need help I'll ask. I don't need 3-4 employees asking me if I need help in the same section in less than 10 mins. They may want to rethink that! Other than that Target is one of my favorite stores of its kind, it's spacious, bright and most of the time clean and if you need help you'll usually find someone to happily help you! Not only that they have some of the cutest stuff. One of my favorite purses came from a Target, I like it so much a got a matching one. It was a different size but the same brand. They aren't as affordable as Wal-Mart but that's because they are not Wal-Mart. Target offers more quality items and name brands so the prices make sense. Nothing I've ever purchased from Target has ripped within the first 6 months of me purchasing it. I can't say the same about other stores. I would defintely go to this Target again, I love Target! read more

probably the worst Target, dirty, disorganized, rude staff. A lot of shelves are empty or chaotic. The in-store shoppers doing pick-up/curbside orders are rude, don't care if they block the aisle or get in your way. I waited in line for 10-15 min just to have another cashier bring over a customer and allow her to cut the line, no apology or explanation from anyone. When I finally got to checkout, I asked why that just happened and was told, "yeah i don't know." No apology. That doesn't even happen at Walmart. Corporate should re-evaluate this location. read more

This Target is much better than it's competitor (who will remain nameless) that is right at the other end of the same plaza. This Target has friendly employees that are very eager to assist. This Target is well maintained, clean and pretty well stocked. Even on the busy days the service, friendliness, and cleanliness doesn't really take that big of a hit at any given time. Their competitor across the plaza just lost a customer. read more

I liked this Target better before the remodel. The layout is very odd and difficult to navigate through. This is despite my shopping in here quite a few times since the redesign. I still can't get use to it. Plus, many of the aisles are so narrow only one cart can get through at a time. Another issue I have is with the fruit section. I have bought several bundles of apples at this store. They look fresh and firm on the outside, however, when I slice them they are brown inside. I've had to throw quite a few of them away. Lastly, some cashiers at this store act like robots. They don't greet me or thank me. Also, some are incredibly slow. I think I could work faster with zero training at the register. All in all, I'll probably still shop here since it's close to home. Walmart is way too crowded for me. I'll just have to go to Mariano's to shop for my fruit and other items that Target has either run out of or doesn't sell. read more

Ever since the remodel the prices went up and the service got worse! It's hard to find anything. I hated going to Walmart that is in the same shopping plaza but now find ourselves going there more often. It's a shame too we used to love this target and now we don't want to go anymore! read more

They will not answer the phone. Do call: 708-372-2350. And if you stay on hold for 15 minutes as the number rings. Somebody picks up and hangs up, and then you redial. Same process, somebody hangs up at 10 minutes. Then somebody hangs up after 5. Without expressing a word. read more

Terrible, horrible, pharmacy. We used this place over a year. Then this 04/2018 the prescription changed by itself, they explained that what you had every month since 08/2017. Wow, what a mess up, we told no that not we had, then they change the story " oh your doctor change the prescription in October 2017". We said no that is not true. Finally I don't want the prescription, they said no REFUND. Well now I run fast to different pharmacy and receiving my original prescription. Bad place. Thor read more

I've only been to two other Targets besides this one, and I'm glad this one is closest to me. It's always neat and well organized. Cute clothes, lots of fun accessories, and I love their home department. The associates are friendly and patient. I say patient because I've seen alot of crazy things go down in the checkout line and the employees always hold it together and serve with a smile. There's a good selection in the grocery dept. since they made it a Super Target a year ago or so. My only recent heartbreak was their discontinuation of the Archer Farms Simply Balanced pasta sides. Dang they were good! And you didn't feel committed to exercise an additional 60 minutes or feel overcome with guilt after eating them. They were pretty good for you. Waaaa! Woohoo! The end of the Halloween season means one thing for me: Crazy Target Halloween Clearance! Usually the day after Halloween all Targets have 50% off all Halloween items. This is when I usually pick up decorations, as they do not last very long on the shelves. Graveyard antics and scary skeletons come at a deep discount as opposed to retail, and that's something I can live with. A couple of days later is 70% off. Usually, these are the days I skip as there aren't any major decorations left and I don't want to still pay 30% for costumes. Now, 90% off? This girl brought her feverish and sick body out first thing in the morning so I can pick up my Goodies. $3 for a muscled Captain America costume and $4 for a Ninjago Kai costume for my son? Yes, please. $3 Wonder Woman and $3 Harley Quinn costumes for my youngest and eldest daughters, respectively? Absolutely! Cute Halloween clothing is abound at this time, also! What really makes this my fave Target are the store associates. I have never had a bad experience here, and staff always seem to be close by when you need them. I heart my Target! read more

This location is clean, organized and if there are associates walking around around they always ask if they can help. Great selection of merchandise. If you are looking for clearance items, they have them, you just have to look for them and have the time to do so. Pharmacy: sometimes they are great, sometimes not. They can give you attitude about the littlest thing. Cashiers: some are quick so you're out of there in a zip, some are slow and you have to wait in line. Some even say thank you for bringing your own bag. Also, they carry a selection of organic items/healthier options (coffee, milk, beauty supplies, etc) I choose Target over Wal-Mart any day! read more

I came to find a last minute top/outfit. Found something that I liked and went through to the fitting room area to try the items on. As I approach this older target employee in the fitting room area, I politely asked if I could try the items on. She then mumbled something that I did not understand and responded with I'm sorry, I didn't understand you. She then put her hand up and said "wait your turn" with an attitude. At that point I just told the lady to forget it and walked around the fitting room looking for my husband. He was on the other side of the fitting rooms waiting for me, as I'm turning the corner of the opposite side of the fitting rooms, the same rude employee was talking about me to another customer that I had to wait. I then voiced that had she said there were people waiting, I would've then just gotten in line. She spoke to me as if I were a child. Communication is key, especially when you're working in customer service and the etiquete and manner of informing customers. I left those items and walked out of this target. read more

I didn't think I met a target I didn't like, until today. This one is the worst. We went here for a friend to register for a baby registry. The kiosk didn't work, the iPhone app that they gave us didn't work, the guy on the phone didn't help, nothing worked. After a solid 20 minutes we decided to walk away. I didn't find the store to be clean, organized. There were only 3 lanes open on a Saturday. Not like everyone shops on a Saturday. Bathrooms were also filthy. Won't be back. read more

I'm never shopping at this Target or any other Target ever. I purchased Turbo Tax online and was sent an email for the download, by accident I hit the MAC version instead of Windows. I called Target to correct this and spoke to two Customer Service people and was told there was nothing they could do. I was told by the supervisor I could always sell the link to someone then repurchase the correct one. This is lousy customer service and I will never spend a penny at any of their stores!!! read more

Really disorganized since their (in my opinion) needless remodel. Items listed in stock are not there, and customer service is sort of lacking. Target should be pretty standard, but I find this location leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully they will improve because they were great before the remodeling project. They reimagined their food department and added a Starbucks kiosk. Guest services seems especially disorganized and it needs work. read more

My favorite Target in the world! The remodel actually made it more streamlined at organized. I think people just don't like that it changed the layout, but it's just something you have to get used to if you're already used to the old layout. Eh, it's Target. It has what you need most of the time at a decent price, is clean, and it beats beating through the scummy crowds at Wal-Mart. Their meat and seafood has never let me down. The reason for this review though is for the sushi. I don't know how many of you may know this, but some Super Targets have fresh sushi. This one in particular makes really good sushi. If I have a craving for rolls, I go here. They have a good variety of rolls if you go early enough (eel, dragon, California, ninja, etc). I always grab eel, spicy tuna, then whatever crazy combo rolls they have. Everything is very delicious, fresh, and the price almost makes it on level with fast food. read more

Hooray for their latest upgrade! This Target now carries groceries! I am a fan of shops that let shoppers make just one stop for everything, and now this Target is updated and fantastic. I love some of their deals where if you buy two items from the same brand...for example two Crest items, you can earn a $5 or $10 Target gift card. Love! read more

I went to this location to create a baby registry, and the experience was good. I had a little trouble creating the registry in the beginning because my previous account needed a new password, so I had to check my email first and verify the new info before proceeding. I was also disappointed that this location was out of the registry tote gift bags, and now I will have to go back when they are in stock. This location has a really good selection of baby items on display. I was able to look at and test most of the big items that I am interested in. The biggest problem is that many items like clothing and diapers are only available in store, so the registry list will only show the shortcut description with no item number. I have a feeling that I will not be getting any of these items since the customer has no way of figuring out what they look like. Another problem is that Target does not give the registry discount until after your due date, which means you'll have to take the newborn shopping if you need any remaining items on the list. This store itself is good, but the registry program needs an adjustment. read more

I bought my mom a television 3 months ago and it just stopped working. I purchased the extra warranty on it so I call them they don't kick in till the 2nd year after the manufacturers warranty. So I pay for a 3 year warranty that really is only 2?! (I asked why that is she said if for some reason the company doesn't cover then they would cover it. I still feel like that is a scam. Call the manufacturer and they say go take pictures and email them in. I sent an email with a 3-5 day window response they never responded I called in after 7 days! To find out they want me to pay the shipping to send it back to be reimbursed with a new TV!!! WTF!! I just want a working television!!! read more

service was terrible. employee named heather took care of me and she was rude and couldn't even answer my greetings by saying hello back. she then gave me attitude when i tried to hand her my coupons, she said i should have told her i had coupons before starting the order... she was throwing my items around like a dog toy and bagged like crap. she didn't take the time to bag it nicely so she threw everything in one, broke the first bag and re doubled it into a second. she isn't well with customers idk why you have her as a worker, i will be messaging corporate about this disgusting customer service from such a disrespecting young lady read more

Since the remodel it feels very unorganized and the layout doesn't make sense to me. It takes me twice as long to navigate and get what I need. The biggest problem is that nothing is in stock ever! The shelves are bare and they never have what I need,it's frustrating. Also can you put more than one employee at the Starbucks counter! The line is always so long! It's ridiculous to have one Starbucks employee,especially on a weekend! The target in broadview is so much better and actually has things on their shelves. read more

I don't get the Target love, never have. I know all my friends say they go here and can't leave without dropping $200. To me it is just a 'nicer' Walmart, but a bit pricier. I think they try to make themselves seem like they are a step up from that, but really, they are not. The store was clean and organized, the cashier was slow and crabby. I was just at the Hodgkins Target, found a lot of cute things and was super excited. I went to check out and brought my own bag (because I care about the environment haha) and Entranda, the check out lady was extremely rude. She ruined my entire target experience. If you're like me and LOVE Target, you understand how excited I must have been. She didn't greet me and in a very crabby tone asked if I wanted my items in the bag. I didn't hear her very well the first time so I asked what she said and again in a very mean crabby tone asked if I wanted it all in my bag. Now I'm not perfect and we all have those days but she was soo rude, my husband handed me his wallet and had to walk away. If it were up to him we wouldn't have bought anything. I've never had a bad experience at Target before and it is just very disappointing. Hope entrandas day gets better. read more
