A HUGE HUGE thank you to Jeff and his father at Martinez's Garage. Our truck broke down about 25 miles away from Indio, CA. It was Sunday and all shops were already closed. Martinez's Garage was also closing soon. When I spoke to Jeff he told me not to worry and that he would wait for us. A man of his word he called me almost 2 hours later to check up on us and we arrived a couple minutes after. Upon meeting Jeff, he very thoroughly inspected our vehicle and assured us that he would be honest, fair, and would help us as much as possible. He also said he would fix our car first since he knew we were from out of town and needed to get home. The next day, he found that our electric power steering gear box was gone. He had to get a programmer, an alignment specialist, and then his own shop to remedy the situation. Jeff did an amazing job of keeping me updated and not making us feel like we had to give him our business. He was EXTREMELY honest. He cares about his customers and truly deserves all the success. I really wish we were closer to him. When I left his shop, he called me to make sure I was okay. The truck has been driving excellently without issue and the repair was successful. The price was very reasonable too. Given our situation, he could have taken advantage of us but he was only honest. Thank you so much for taking care of us when we most needed it! I was just was introduced to Jeff and Freddie ( son and father) owners of Martinez's garage in Indio, what a refreshing experience, I had gotten a quote for my infiniti repairs at another shop which was too high for me and a friend sent Jeff some pictures of my repairs and right away he gave me a very reasonable quote, which was less than half of my original quote..... I took my car there...... These guys are great, they run on the principle of "Honesty is First." Living in the Coachella Valley having you're A/C working to it's full capacity is super important. Jeff did not work on my car until 2 hours that I had been there waiting and was extremely rude and unprofessional. He did not give me an explanation of what was wrong with my car, what he did to repair the damage, and did not tell me when he was done working on my car; I actually had to go up to him and ask if my car was done since it had been sitting there for 15 minutes. When asked if it was okay to leave because I had been there for 3 hours he very rudely and sarcastically said and I quote "What do you want me to do? Dance?". He then preceded to purposely work on cars that were blocking the way to leave. We were stuck there waiting until he finally told others to and I quote "Move the cars so could THEY can leave" in a very distasteful way. Overall, each time I have gone to get my car fixed he has always been 1 or more hours late and has customers waiting. Do not recommend unless you want to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes to be seen and wait even more so he can actually start working on your car. If you do not point of that he is unprofessional then you will not be mistreated. While I was there 3 customers left because he was taking too long and had been waiting for more than 1 hour to be seen. Do not recommend unless you want to spend an average of 1 hour and 30 minutes waiting to be seen and still have to wait even more for him to work on your car. read more
