I had a tile crack in my shower and called Andres. After sending him a few photos and meeting with him, he sent Raul to do the repair. I had 2 different white subway tiles in my home and mistakenly gave Raul the wrong tile. It was very difficult to see the difference. We thought it looked different because it was wet but when it dried, it was definitely the wrong tile. Raul came back the next day and replaced the tile again with the correct tile. Fantastic Job! We hired Martinez Tile once again for our home in Montecito. This was a lot bigger project with our Butler pantry and kitchen. They did exactly as promised! They even worked with us after installing the tiles, we asked to change the grout color, as we wanted to go into a different direction with the look. Avoid these guys. I had them tile my bathroom. The tiles were installed unevenly and the spaces between the tiles were inconsistent. I had to have the tile torn out and have someone else redo the job. When I showed Andres the issues and asked for money back he threatened me with a mechanic's lien. read more

I read the few reviews that were favorable, so I gave Martinez Tile a call to request a bid on our remodel. We set up dates and times and when I got no promised visit or call on Monday on either of the 2 phone numbers I gave him, I texted him again with the numbers and he texted back and set an appointment for the following day, Tues . We stayed at home all day waiting on Tuesday. No show again . No phone call again . None today. I get that unexpected things can happen, but a courtesy call would have been all it would have taken. I want someone reliable, courteous, and DEPENDABLE for a job. I would not hire this company due to the unreliablility and lack of courtesy. My time is every bit as valuable as theirs. read more

I highly recommend Andreas and his team of tilers at Martinez Tile. Andreas was recomended by our contractor as his first choice, and even though we interviewed and obtained estimates from 3 or 4 tiling companies, we were most impressed with Andreas. First, he was responsive to our request and came the day we called him to look at our job and was prompt to send over an estimate of the work (2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and the garage.) He is very kind, soft-spoken, and exceedingly knowledgable and competent and his estimate was very fair and reasonable. He was very busy with other jobs, but found a way to work our job into his schedule within a very short time. He sent over Jose and his assistant, Javier, who were fantastic: hard-working, skilled, efficient, clean, and very nice to work with. To complete our job, they worked long hours and Saturdays, clearly taking satisfaction in being artisans and doing exceptional work. Andreas came to our house every day and was in constant communication with Jose and with us to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. I have to assume that Martinez Tile has gone out of business. I had some floor tile work done a year ago by Jesus (Owner). Been trying to reach him for the past 4 months via email, text message and phone calls to take a look at some problems with the tile / grout that has occurred. Since no response to any contact, I would assume the business has been shut down. Pretty unfortunate as I wished I had hired another company that would be around to warranty the work performed. As such, I guess I will need to hire another tile company to take care of this problem. Lesson learned! read more

Jesus and the guys did a beautiful job on the granite tops for our outdoor bbq and fire pit. Even before the install, he was available for all questions, had great follow up and built confidence. The granite slabs he acquired were beautiful; for the money, much nicer than the slabs showing up as available from others. He went out of his way to be sure there was proper cross-bar support internally and the guys made sure to take time to align everything. Jesus made sure everything was right before processing payment. He even made up a table top out of the remaining granite piece for a reasonable charge. read more

When Jesus came by to give an estimate for our kitchen backsplash, he was professional and courteous. I felt immediately that he was knowledgeable and felt comfortable contracting his company. The day before work was to begin, Jesus came by with Andres, who would complete most of the installation and we reviewed the project. Again, I could tell immediately that Andres was competent and he gave some very helpful suggestions. On installation day Andres arrived very early and ready to get to work. He worked quickly and diligently throughout the day. Our backsplash came out beautifully.
