I was assisted by one of their specialists, Chris, who responded quickly. Unfortunately, I had a few constraints that my insurer used against me, but they worked with me despite the difficulty. A fair price was established, and they accommodated my family's schedule. They did show up on time and did excellent work. I recently had a new front door installed by MACC Construction. It was difficult finding a contractor, they're very busy and all booked up. Travis did the work and he did a fantastic job. It's tricky fitting a new door to an existing doorway but they know what they're doing. The work was finished much faster than I expected. Shane arranged for the tradesmen needed each step and that made it easy on me. Everyone came at the appointed time and left the job site clean at the end of the day. The damp weather caused the door to swell and rub against the frame. That made for a very sticky door and it needed to be corrected while the painter was here. a simple phone call was all I needed to realize this person is not really interested in handyman work. Waterline to a fridge. Told him it was very close to connection. He said that his hourly rate was $100 which was fine and it could take 3 hours. I asked him if he was sending out an experienced person and he said yes and that he wasn't interested in "haggling" with me. I went ahead and did it myself. It took me a half hour. I would have been happy to have paid a service fee and for an hours work to get this done but happy I decided not to do so. Not sure how everybody is getting 90% plus 5 star ratings on Yelp other than the ratings aren't vetted with actual consumers of the service and filled with ghost reviews From family, friends and employees. Shane has done several jobs for me in the last two years from very small to very large. He performs very exacting work weather he's fixing a sliding door or remodeling a whole house. He helped me remodel my whole house recently and I couldn't be happier. He helped design and build a closet in a bedroom and a see through bookcase separating my living room and family room. He also removed doors and replaced them with dry wall, installed solid wood doors and deadbolts and replaced an entire wall that had termite damage. He helped with electrical and plumbing. Between doing all this he took the time to do all the little things that no one thinks about but has to be done. I couldn't have possibly completed this remodel without him. He's trustworthy and reliable; unfortunately a quality that is lacking in this line of work sometimes. I was very optimistic about hiring Shane for a drywall repair and a gas dryer installation, given the other glowing reviews. However, he didn't show up within our agreed up on window. Knowing that other jobs can go over time, about an hour after the window ended, I texted and he said that he wasn't feeling well enough to come that day. He tentatively offered to come by Saturday for the dryer if we couldn't find an alternative and said he could come by the following Monday for the drywall, then never followed up on the latter. I'm sure he does good work, and I was excited to have him do the work in light the enthusiasm shown by his other clients, but given that I worked from home in order to be there for him to show up and do the job, I would hope to find someone that's more respectful of my time. I can understand not feeling well, but I would appreciate a greater level of communication. read more

I'm so glad I checked Yelp before hiring a handyman/contractor. Shane was exactly what I was looking for. He came up with a creative fix for one of our side gates that had an exposed deadbolt I needed to hide. He leveled a main gate that was no longer functional so that it can now be used to access the property. We had a custom sized door that was in disrepair so he built a new custom door for us and painted it to perfectly match what was previously there. He also repaired a doggie door and an inner door that had to be sanded to make it easier to open and close. He is fabulous and would refer him to everyone I know. He will forever be our go-to guy!! I highly recommend MAC Construction as a result of the wonderful repair job they did from the initial callback to the completion of the job, all done as promised. The job was to restore a corner stone that had been knocked down. It was a heavy 36"x12"x12" that needed to be remounted and secured to the adjoining walls. I made 6 calls and Shane was one of three that responded and the only one who came to look. A small job but not really straight forward either. Shane sent a couple of his men out to look at it and they got it up and secured in jig time.
