Be really careful in dealing with this contractor. I hired Fernando Martinez to do my backyard back in March in 2021. He requested the last payment after the cement was poured. When I checked the backyard after the cement was dry a couple of days of the payment, I noticed some work was done poorly or done wrong or not complete. I texted and called him and he never returned any phone call or text messages and disappears after that. I have to find another contractor to finish the work. He should have returned the money for the work he did not finish. The other work he promised but is not executed includes: He altered my irrigation system in my backyard as agreed but he never installed the dripping pipes as he promised. He installed the drainage in the cement but he never connected it to the drainage to the front yard. Be careful when you sign the contract. Do not pay him when the cement is poured. Pay him when you make sure all work is done otherwise you will never hear anything back from him. In addition, he tired to charge me 8000 for the fences in my yard while others only charge half of it. He is not an honest businessma! read more
