We also had the steps redone at the end of the driveway with each step being lite. His crew were very pleasant to work with and always cheerful and on time. They worked very hard and completed this difficult project in 18 days. This included the low curb walls, repair of the landscape sprinkler system, steps, lighting, extra linear drains and 2 coats sealing at the end of the project. A lot of dirt had to be removed to improve the grade. Carlos does not upsell and would do whatever you wanted as I kept adding more square footage when I saw how lovely it was turning out. What impressed me most was they brought their own out house and changed it weekly to minimize the smell in the neighborhood. They did not have to rent one as those were only changed every 3 weeks. They owned all their equipment so that helped control cost and sped up the project not having to wait for a sub to show. It was very well organized and efficient. I highly recommend Custom Interlocking Pavers Inc and was pleased with the outcome. This was the most organized and efficient construction company I have ever worked with. He kept saying he will fix it. He was cutting 24" pavers with a 12" block saw. Ruined thousands of dollars work of marble. When asked why he would send that saw he stated he wasn't used to working with natural stone he didn't mention that when he took the job. He said he absolutely could do the job. They installed 20 fence posts in soil and through tricky existing…read moreconcrete, laid a new 200 sq. ft. concrete pad, repaired some existing concrete and stucco, and installed fence support brackets on a run of cinder block retaining wall. Alberto was communicative, reliable, forthright, quick, and resourceful all the way through. He even picked up some lumber for me that wasn't part of the project, and was reasonable about extra charges when the concrete pad needed more material than anticipated. And the pad turned out awesome. Alberto stayed late with his crew to get the broom finish just right. Really pleased. I did have Alberto make several corrections to misaligned fence posts. We also miscommunicated about the amount of slope on the new concrete pad but were able to fix it before it hardened past the point of no return. While I would have preferred no corrections needed, Alberto was accommodating in re-setting posts and adjusting the pad grade to allow for drainage without too much tilt. Between me staying present and collaborative, and Alberto asking proactive questions, we got to a good level of quality, especially considering Alberto's super competitive pricing. I'd definitely recommend working with Alberto and crew if you're ready to be involved, collaborative, and clear about your vision. I would not recommend The Concrete Bro based on my experience…read more Before I hired David, he assured me that he stood behind his work and would take care of any issues that came up. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. After the project was completed, I discovered two separate problems: the concrete around the drain was not sloped correctly, causing water to pond instead of draining properly, and the stair concrete developed cracks shortly after installation. I brought both issues to David's attention and expected him to honor the guarantee he gave me. Instead of coming out to inspect the work in person, he relied on photos and refused to make any repairs. He blamed the drainage issue on dog hair and debris blocking the drain, even though the problem is that the concrete itself does not slope correctly. A clear drain does not solve the ponding because the water isn't being directed to the drain in the first place. I understand that concrete can develop minor cracks, but as a customer, I expected concerns about a brand-new installation to be taken seriously. Instead, both issues were dismissed, and I was told nothing would be repaired. If you're looking for a contractor who stands behind their workmanship and honors their promises, I would encourage you to look elsewhere. My experience has been extremely frustrating, and I regret hiring this company.
