When we got there he wasn't there and the price had changed once more. Half of the things still did not work. We could not get a refund for the items not fixed. He would not give us the keys until we paid more money. He told us then that we didn't know what we were talking about and that in Texas the auto mechanic can do anything they want and you have no recourse. We were forced to leave and leave our motorhome there. He said he had a lawyer on standby at all times. We were told to take the mo9torhome and not bother him anymore and pay him more money. At this time he has the motorhome and will not give us any of our money back unless we give him more money. That happened to us this past weekend on our way up to the Dallas area. We were about eight minutes north of Corsicana,Texas when we have the unfortunate happening of a flat tire. We've never had a flat tire on the road before, so it was much to our surprise that we didn't have a spare tire. I did have a portable air compressor, but my tire wouldn't hold any more than about 18 pounds of air. I called my insurance company for the roadside assistance but she told me that I had to be towed to a local repair shop, and I didn't have time for that. So we looked up on Yelp and found this local company. We called, they answered. We asked how much and how long, So they said give us 30 minutes and $190. We said sold. I think they made it out in less than 15 minutes, and it took about 10 minutes to replace the tire. Fast and friendly service, credit cards accepted, Would highly recommend!

She was able to get it back to where she was staying that week. I drove out the following day and was able to identify that the radiator had cracked. it was about 10:30am on Friday. I called around to several shops and most were willing to do the work, but couldn't get it done until Saturday or maybe even Monday. This was not ideal. All that changed when I called Don Perry's Garage. I was talking to Donny and he said he could probably get it done that day. I told him I was just passing through and he said he'd definitely get it done that day. He said "cmon down and we'll get you fixed up. I'll pick us up some lunch and you can hangout here till it's done." This is 100% true! So I headed on down and spent the afternoon with Donny and Kelly. We ate lunch together and chatted for a few hours. Hanging out there I got a real behind the scenes look at how they run their business. How they communicated with their customers on the phone or in person was all top shelf. The transparency they shared with their customers is like nothing I've seen in this business. If they made a mistake, they owned up to it. If they could get a better price on a part, they would and then would pass the savings on to the customer. I've got to also give a shoutout to their senior tech James. He's been there over 30 years and knows his stuff! There's a reason they have been in business as long as they have! The reality is, I probably will never need their service again. Our paths may never cross again.
