Took my 68 Nova in on a Tuesday as it shuddered in reverse and was not shifting correctly. They jumped on it and had it totally rebuilt and installed by noon Friday. It shifts and runs perfectly now, pricing was very competitive. Jason even went over and above when later that day the car would not start unrelated to the work they had performed, and he came to me and diagnosed the problem and got it started so I could get it home. Put a transmission in my 03 Suburban and have stood behind their work. Always extremely busy but never too busy to get your problem addressed and solved. How well they treat their employees is a glimpse of how they run their company. I was there today 8/13/24 while waiting outside one of the work bay doors opened and the cold cold air hit me. I had issues with my 2003 Dodge dually 4x4 diesel so I took it to Peacock's. The owner and another tech both drove the truck without speaking to each other until after driving it to see if they came up with the same diagnosis and they did. I needed to drop my truck off that same day but did not have a ride. The owner drove me home 20 miles in his personal truck, you can't beat that service. They rebuilt my 48RE in about a week (super busy shop) with their tow build and I cannot say enough good things about it. My truck has compound turbos, 50 hp injectors, custom tunes and an exhaust brake. We tow our 5th wheel that weighs 15.5k empty and 17k+ easy on any given day with our belongings in it without issue. I will go back if I ever need to but so far 22k miles on this trans and it has not missed a beat. read more

Being a female senior citizen, I have been ripped off a time or two! Our 18 year old truck's transmission began having serious issues. It was very slow in going out of first gear. We figured a complete over-haul, or even a new one! Jason said it was transmission ignition switch. Fixed it for one tenth of what we were expecting to pay. We would have never known the difference. I own a 2016 Chevy 2500 I bought and put all 240,000 miles on. The transmission worked perfect up until it went out. I paid almost $4,000 to have it rebuilt. I've taken the truck back numerous times because it does not shift correctly and revs when it shifts and slips to no avail the truck is still not shifting right and I just have to deal with it was what I was told. When I took it to Peacocks was told by numerous people that I was making a big mistake now I see why. I own my own construction company and if I had an unhappy customer that was unhappy with the job I did I would set it right even if I had to buy a new part or whatever I have to do. Last week I dropped my car off at this location because of the ratings but realized it was the worst mistake ever. A one days job turned into 8, I asked for the number to the location where to pick the part up that I need and paid for and they failed to give me the information knowing how quickly I need my vehicle done. They just seem to not care and my vehicle is still there and hasn't been touched. Will never return again. read more
