We went with the lake trout as she said the bass would be too smelly. The cut the trout up just as we needed it so no head, tails, scales or guts. Just fish, spine & skin. All the fish looked fresh. Pretty good variety too. Definitely worth the visit.

I moved to Ohio in 2019 haven't been able to find decent fish since I've been here. I hear that Lexington Market has been renovated and that Cho's has not opened yet. Can't wait until they return. I pray I will be able to order fish from Cho's when they open to have it shipped to me here in Ohio. Did I mention the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They definitely aim to please! Hurry back Cho's because you are definitely missed! CF

I was in Baltimore for a few days earlier this week and decided to finally check Faidley's Seafood…read moreoff my food list. It's located inside Lexington Market, not too far from the Inner Harbor. Parking can be a headache downtown, but there's a garage directly across the street, which makes things a little easier. I ordered the crab cake sandwich, fries, and mac and cheese. I like to consider myself a bit of a crab cake connoisseur, and I'd give this one about a 3.7-4.0 out of 5. It was a nice size and definitely a solid crab cake, but flavor-wise, I've had better. I also didn't feel like it had quite as much jumbo lump crab meat as I expected. The mac and cheese was actually really good--great consistency and flavor. The fries were pretty standard, nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. Customer service was excellent. The young lady who helped us was very friendly and helpful. The only strange part was the seating. Even though they have tables, there aren't any chairs or stools, so if you eat there, you're standing up at the table. Definitely something to know beforehand. Overall, Faidley's was good. The crab cake wouldn't make the top of my personal list, but it definitely wasn't near the bottom either. If you're in the area and you like crab cakes, I'd say it's worth trying. They also have plenty of other seafood options, so I'd probably go back and try something different next time.

This is strictly a carry out location. There is one bench in the wating area so most folks wait outside in their car after placing the order. If you call in your order it will likely not be done or even in the process of being prepared when you arrive. They only take cash and phone orders are not completed ahead of arrival. You can get cash from Walgreens across the street or PNC bank which is also across the street. Parking is a complete challenge as the parking lot is very small and often folks park on the side of the building or come in off of the side street which is parallel to Rogers Avenue. That is where I typically park. I love the food guys! I've had Lake Trout, Fried Oysters, Porgie, and Steakfish. Delicious! One of my favorite places for fried fish uh Baltimore City.
