We came here because it was next to the hotel we were staying at. Actually Nextdoor so we thought ok since we've been traveling all day. We ordered at the counter no wait service except they bring your food to your table. Hubby ordered the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and I got a side of Mac n cheese and some hush puppies. Hubby said the sandwich was pretty good but nothing spectacular. The baked beans were a bit odd tasting and had quite a bite. My Mac n cheese was dry and the hush puppies had an odd taste so I had my husband taste them and he nailed it they tasted like catfish. Obviously they fried them in the same oil. They had a BBQ vibe with lots of tables, TV's and a gift shop. I don't think we'd come back. read more

There is also tons of seating inside. I usually add the sweetest BBQ sauce option they offer to my sandwich and it pairs perfectly. We came here after traveling. It was a quick stop behind the hotel. The reviews were mixed but we were hungry. I had the catfish tacos. They were great. My oldest had the brisket. Originally he was upset cause he didn't get much but he said the quality was great. My middle son had the dry rub and it was divine. Both were so tender. Had a great dinner here a few nights ago. Stood in line to order for a brief moment and decided to try the ribs. I ordered them with dry rub only and sauce on the side, I chose the broccoli salad and potato salad for my sides with sweet tea. My food was delivered quickly. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. As a matter of fact, bit into the rib and the all of the meat came off the bone on my bite, I was by myself but it could have been embarrassing. I chose the pull the rest of the meat off the bone using my fingers. Again, it was that tender. This was my first time trying the ribs. You need to try them. Can't go wrong with a bbq pulled pork sandwich from Martin's. Always good service. Food usually comes out quickly. I need to explore the menu and maybe try the brisket and catfish one day. OK!!!! I'm from Las Vegas, you can get non watered down cocktails for a good price and Martins first off stole the show with a spicy margarita and Tennessee mule. Balanced and we were happy. However the show stopper those damn smoked wings. I've never!!! I love chicken wings and I love all kinds of BBQ but this is was it. We had the brisket platter as well, hotcake was great, hand cut fries great, coleslaw yes, potato salad it was ok. Here's why we stopped eating here on a near weekly basis, most recently 2-3 times a year, and now never again, unless an occasional to go order. POSITIVES: Food was delicious! My wife had the Farmer's Salad. I had the 1/2 Smoked Chicken Tray. Both were just right, and we'd be back weekly if not for the .... NEGATIVES: 1. Music - So LOUD you can't have a conversation with your guest without SHOUTING. So LOUD my Apple Watch issued an unhealthy decibel level alert. I've complained about this in the past, and it's the primary reason we stopped going, because I was told "the owner likes it loud". If so, then why isn't it blaring like this at their Belmont Blvd location? It's too loud there as well, but at least you can have a normal conversation. 2. Nothing's conveniently located. You have to get up and ask for sweetener, BBQ sauce, salt and pepper, refills, EVERYTHING. The employees buzzing around wouldn't dare offer help. Maybe business-wise this location is knocking the cover off the ball, but at 11:45, there weren't 20 people eating in the restaurant.. Quite a few waiting on to go orders, but few actually eating there. Perhaps Pat Martin should take another look at his business model. We love the food, but too many other equally good choices in Music City to put up with this nonsense. read more

The chicken is the best no doubt , ribs with dry rub taste good but over cooked ,pork is average . Love the green beans and the spicy kick they have , coleslaw is pretty good nice and crisp with good flavor . My wife loved the Broccoli salad and thought the Brunswick stew was alright . I love when a group recommends a good BBQ spot. I was in town for a conference and our team chose Martin's my last night. First things first - it was NOT in that restaurant. Kudos to the employees for staying friendly and on top of things to get the food out and tables flowing as patrons were in/out. I had the pulled pork and green beans along with an original RC cola. We tried to come here on a Friday night in January and they were out of the majority of the meats, so they recommended we visit another location. The staff were very friendly and honest and they have a huge bar area and tons of seating. We gave it another try and visited on a Sunday afternoon to try their pork ribs and we got the Mac and cheese and baked beans. The meat easily fell off the bone and Nashville bbq is different if you're expecting Texas bbq but the seasoning was good and service was great! read more

The mac & cheese was also solid, but nothing tried to write home about. The require is super cute and cozy, with the space broken into a multiple different indoor rooms and an outdoor space. People who worked there were great. When it was fair that I was done with my food, but unable to finish it all, they offered to bring me a box, which I happily took. Great pulled pork, chicken, and sides (the brisket is good but not great). My favorite is the redneck taco (with chicken) with the broccoli salad. The strawberry cake is a must try as well. Ribs were some of the best I've had in a LONG time. Fried catfish was quite possibly the best I've ever had, extremely juicy inside with a very crispy and flavorful crust. Sides: Fries solid. Brunswick stew was take-or-leave. Brisket chili was good enough. Green beans were spectacular. Hoecake (cornbread cake) was average. Hushpuppies awesome. House salad was good size and fresh. Arnold Palmer tea was good. Only did 2 take-out orders, so can't comment on service other than the guys behind the counter seemed welcoming. Additionally, +10 points because they changed the TV channel to sports for me. I got the ribs and opted to get it half wet and half dry so I could try both flavors. The wet ribs were good and flavorful as it had the right amount of sauce and the bbq sauce hit right. The dry rub caught me by surprise in a very good way! Normally dry rub's meat is too dry for me or the rub is too salty or it isn't as flavorful because it's plain ribs rubbed with some seasoning. The dry rub was soooo good, meat was tender and juicy, and the dry rub seasoning was yummy. The meat of the ribs literally fell off the bone so I was impressed. For sides, I got the greens and coleslaw. These were great portion sizes and tastes pretty good. Parking is at the back of the restaurant, plenty of spots. read more

The barbecue sauce is on the side and you can put as much as you want West Tennessee barbecue has a sweet and tangy vinegar base with a spicy kick! Overall, not bad, but nothing really stand out.
