Good bbq in a food hall? Yep, Honeyfire BBQ defies the odds. If you see a line join it and thank me later. We got the double combo with the ribs and brisket. The brisket was delicious! Ribs were good as well but the flavor could be a little more smoky. The Mac was ok and the cinnamon apples are basically just a dessert. Sugar goodness! Bbq sauce is sweet and went really well on the ribs. If back in Nash, I'll revisit!

RANCH HAND SANDWICH and MAC & CHEESE

Inside the awesome Assembly Food Hall. Hubs got the Ranch Hand sandwich with Mac n cheese side. The sandwich was fine, nothing to write home about. Mac n cheese was delish.

Buffalo jones best chicken sandwich I've ever had. And the mac and cheese with the queso... chefs kiss. Come and experience this before you leave Nashville. They know what they are doing.

The Big Cheesy with chopped brisket

I have followed HoneyFire on social media for a while but haven't had the opportunity to have it due to not living in the area, but that was remedied recently and I am damn glad it was! I had the Big Cheesy which is the macaroni with a bed of protein of your choosing on top. I had the brisket and it might've been the best brisket I've ever had... yes I've had your brisket, Texas! It's been over a week since I've had it and I'm trying to find a reason to visit Nashville again to have more. I added the baked beans because they sounded good and they were a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich with green beans. The pork was pretty standard and solid, while the green beans were awesome as well. It was also our first time to the Assembly Food Hall, which I think I could spend all day there. Live music, great food and awesome vibes.

The Brisket was SO tender! My wife had salad with chicken, it was yummy Too! Highly recommend for great Bar-b-q!!

Chopped brisket sandwich and white queso mac n cheese

Atmosphere 5/5 - This place is located in the Assembly Food Hall which is a cool spot off Broadway. Lots to choose from and it has indoor and outdoor seating options. Food 4/5 - Chopped brisket sandwich was ok. Meat was flavorful, but the bun was cold. I ended up ditching the bun. White queso mac n cheese was nice and creamy. Service 2/5 - I was standing in the front to look at the menu and an employee told me to move back towards ordering area. When I said I was looking at the menu, she was not very friendly. The cashier was fine, but wasn't paying much attention and put a set of utensils on my plate and then added another one in my cup. I nicely returned one set and he grabbed it to throw it back in the bin. I'll be back to this food hall, but not to this booth.

The BBQ here isn't bad, especially considering it's located in a mall-style setting like the Assembly Food Hall..but it doesn't quite measure up to some of the top BBQ spots in Nashville. I wasn't a fan of how the brisket was minced in my sandwich; it came out a bit dry and could've definitely used more of that tasty BBQ sauce they offer. On the plus side, the slaw was pretty good, and the service followed suit. I really like the overall concept of the Food Hall. It's clean, spacious, and offers plenty of seating with charging outlets, free WiFi, and TVs showing whatever big game or event is on. It's a cool spot to hang out, and as far as I know, there isn't any direct BBQ competition within the hall. That said, if I find myself back at Assembly Food Hall, I might explore a different vendor just to try something new.

BUFFALO JONES SANDWICH

HoneyFire BBQ is an absolute gem in downtown Nashville. Tucked inside the food hall off Broadway, it somehow manages to outshine just about everything around it. You can watch your meal come together right in front of you. Like dinner and a show, but with way more delicious smoke involved. I went for the Buffalo Jones chicken sandwich and it was perfection. The chicken was seasoned beautifully with a subtle smoky depth, then absolutely pampered in ranch and buffalo sauce, with a swipe of mustard and some seasoned jalapeños that brought just the right amount of kick. It sounds intense, but the heat stayed friendly. More high-five than slap in the face. The coleslaw was creamy, tangy, and exactly what you want next to a sandwich that's doing the absolute most. Service was lightning-fast and everyone behind the counter was genuinely pleasant. If you're browsing the food hall and debating where to eat, just save yourself the decision fatigue and head straight to HoneyFire BBQ. You'll leave happy.

This place is one of many food vendors at Assembly Hall. I loved their pull pork and my 3 friends had Brisket and were all very happy with their choices. Staff was pleasant and quick.

SOUTHWEST BBQ SALAD

What can I say other than it was so good! Ribs were tender and fell off the bone. It was full of flavor, and the sauce was sweet. The southwest bbq salad was huge and so filling with generous portions of pulled pork. Service was also quick. No picture of the ribs since it was gobbled up instantly.

Great, friendly service and environment. The restaurant is clean and a great environment for a family outing with kids! Outdoor seating has a turf lawn area for kids to run and play. Food is wonderful, and great side options. Everyone can find a favorite on the menu!

The ribs weren't very tender which may have been due to the cut we got or maybe most of the fat was trimmed off during prep. Memphis style bbq uses a dry rub rather than wet. The rub at Peg Leg Porker was decent, but during our trip we tried another bbq restaurant called Martin's whose dry rub I prefer. The peach fried pie was solid, it reminded us of a toaster strudel. The service was quick as we got our food very fast. There is a lot of indoor seating and a good amount of outdoor seating as well. The noise level was moderate, which allows you to have a conversation with your party without having to yell. I would consider coming back the next time I'm in town to try some of their other offerings.

They smoke all the meats in-house (YUM), and everything on the menu is unique and packed with flavor. You can't go wrong with the Pulled Pork Nachos, Brisket Smoke Show, or the Tony Porker. The rich curry paired with the tender smoked brisket is mind-blowing. The sides are just as good, and don't skip the Ube Cheesecake! There's a small parking lot beside the building and another free lot a short walk down the street. Parking can be a little tricky during busy times, but it's worth it. Seating inside is limited but comfortable. I love the cozy, homey feel, friendly staff, and unique menu!

This location has a laid back, casual vibe with counter service and a full bar. I visited on a busy weekday evening, but the line to order moved quickly. After grabbing our drinks, it was only a few minutes before our food arrived. I ordered the smoked turkey plate with green beans, mac n cheese and cornbread. The turkey was smoked to perfection and was a huge portion. The mac n cheese had a great breadcrumb topping. I don't usually like coleslaw, but the small side that arrived with my meal was delicious!! Our group also tried the BBQ fries, which were incredible. Great Spot For Barbecue…read more I stopped into Edleys on Lebanon Pike to try out some of their barbecue dishes. This location is close to BNA and hotels near the airport. Edley's has locations in Nashville and other areas of Tennessee. On this visit, I was looking for something different from my usual barbecue staple,s which are brisket, ribs and steaks. I ordered the Chicken Platte,r which comes with half a smoked chicken, a side of beans, coleslaw, corn bread and pickles. The chicken was very flavourful and was a very healthy portion, and I was almost unable to try the beans and the cornbread. Overall, it was a decent-sized meal that I was barely able to finish. Edleys makes great chicken, and I would try it again if I have a chance to go back.
