Martin ranch winery is a lovely experience. The Owners and Sommlier are amazing. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds are beautiful and the views are spectacular. This winery experience is made complete by the the exquisite wines they produce.

We stopped in at Martin Ranch Winery Saturday afternoon. It is off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. It's beautiful and feels like a working winery, farm, and lovely gathering spot. I felt warmly welcomed and encouraged to explore the grounds, enjoy the hummingbirds, and hang out for a while. The wines were very good. We enjoyed everything they poured and loved meeting one of the winemakers and the tasting room staff. All were very knowledgeable about wine and wanted to talk with us. They also roast coffee, and had samples of that available, too. We took coffee and wine home. We will return to this special place, bring a picnic, and spend the afternoon. It was definitely a hidden gem!

We had 1:30 reservations for Saturday but we were like 20 mins late. But it was ok since it's a big spacious winery. There wasn't a lot of people there. Plenty of outdoor space with shade. Looks like only has outdoor seating. I think it only has 1 restroom too. It's 21+ only. Red wines are their strong suit. Wines are fruity. The owner, Dan was nice to walk around and say hi to everyone. All the staff were really friendly and nice. $20 for 5 wines plus a couple of extra ones that were open. The wines we liked were Grenache, Sangiovese, Cab, Sauvignon blanc, GSM. The Grenache and Sauvignon blanc were probably our top 2. The pour amounts here are average. Pricier wines and they don't waive tasting fee. You can bring picnic food here. They grow their own vegetables and stuff here too. Lots of things to see so walk around!

If you're tasting wine in the area, this is a must-stop. The drive in was delightful. You almost forget you're in Santa Clara County. The wines were very nice. Our favorite was the merlot but we also walked out with a case of the sale syrah. It's a very nice property with many outdoor seating options. A very fun time unless you are among the snootiest of wine snobs.

Came here yesterday for wine tasting and lunch for my friend's birthday. $30 a person or $20 if you're a wine member for choice of pizza and about 6 pairings over lunch. I talked to Margie, who is very nice. You are allotted 90 minutes for outdoor seating that is socially distanced. Was a good experience for the wine connoisseur in you :)

Great winery! Went here with my in-laws for Father's Day weekend. So much seating area space. Most people bring a picnic with them, so they can just enjoy the surroundings. I would come back here for sure and just enjoy the property. Prices range from $25-60 for a bottle of wine.

I will say, I am usually a sweet wine person and we were told there were no sweet wines at this facility. Nonetheless, we did a wine flight just to try! The wines were very smooth, none were really my taste though. Again, preferring sweet wine this was a bit to adjust to. However, my family who got red wines and actually like red wines loved it! The star of the show for me was actually a peach cider they have! I usually don't like ciders either, but this one was so delicious and refreshing! I wish I had just got a couple of those. Overall, service and everything was great! The man was very knowledgeable and friendly. Noe was an exciting part of the experience. And the cider was so amazing! I would come here again on another Cali trip.

The staff member behind the bar greeted us with a blank, deadpan stare (otherwise known as a "GenZ Stare") that made the whole interaction feel awkward from the start. When we mentioned it was our first time visiting and that we were excited to be there, there was no warmth, no enthusiasm, and no effort to tell us about the wines or the property. Even the pours seemed careless. I know this is Gilroy and not Napa, but I still expected a welcoming experience and better wine service. Unfortunately, both the service and the wine itself were disappointing. The best part of this place was definitely the beautiful grounds, which would make a gorgeous wedding setting. Maybe this place is better suited as an event venue than a wine tasting destination, but based on my experience, I would not return. The two stars are for the beautiful grounds.

We had our choice of indoor and outdoor seating, and opted for the nice covered outdoor patio. They had a good amount of seating in each area, and had a lot of shade outside, which is absolutely necessary in Gilroy. The patio and grass area was very pretty, filled with lots of plants and even a sculpture. The property is also next to a plant nursery, so that added to the beauty even beyond their property line. We were helped by Melissa, and she was great! They had two tasting flights of 4 wines to choose from on our visit, one of which included a white and reds, while the other was all reds. They did also have some extra bottles open, so they were able to make an all white wine flight for one in our party. The pours were a good size, enough to really get a feel for the wine and share a taste with others. Two of us ended up taking home the same bottle of pinot noir.

I started my membership back, thought we'd utilize the wine tasting. First time back in over 6 months they did not bring us a menu, did not tell us what we were tasting and that was not a good feeling. On out third pour same day- fist day back we were accused of trying to get an extra pour Aaron asked what pour we were on, we didn't have a response because we didn't have the menu, we were accused of getting any extra pour? Not our responsibility to keep track, and if you did an extra pour what is the big deal? The comment made us feel uncomfortable, we stayed and purchased a bottle from their reserved red wine. This Saturday we went with another couple and my granddaughter. All was fine untill our third pour, we paid extra for the reserved tasting and it was a splash not a tasting pour. We discussed if we should say anything at all, and we decided to ask for a decent pour. My husband went in , talked to Aaron, he declined and dismissed us. Aaron said we had a decent pour, even though he was not around to see what was poured?? Typically a winery allows more than the 4 or 5 tasting, how else will you know if you like it enough to purchase a bottle. If a winery treats members that way it's time to end membership, and we did. Staff is like family at S V, we got the cold shoulder once my husband spoke with Aaron. We paid for our tasting, tipped our server. We will not revisit this establishment again. It was a nice place till it wasn't We have too many wineries nearby to allow staff to make you feel a certain way.

I haven't been to Italy but having seen it in movies, this place sure gives you the feels of having traveled that far for a glass of wine. It's a small vineyard with such an intimate and relaxing setting. The owners, Drew and Tiffany, are friendly, chill, and easygoing. Even though we've met them for the first time through a mutual friend, my husband and I felt comfortable talking to them as if we've known them for some time. They're very personable and well versed with their wines, and I love the stories behind some of the names for their wines. You'll also be greeted by their sweet and gentle black lab, Bear, who walks around saying hi to the guests. My husband and I both did the Estate Reds tasting as we love reds, especially Cabernets. I'm not a wine connoisseur at all, but I do like to enjoy a glass of wine here and there. The reds were delish, though I enjoyed The House (light) and Vino Nona (deep and bold) best. However, given another couple of years, I think Vino Nona would have an exceptional taste. And oh, you must try the Frozé (Frozen Rosé) or that I hope you get the chance as I heard they do run out of it fast. Such a yummy adult icee that is so refreshing with a good taste of the Rosé wine. I have 2 young boys, so I always love places that are kid and family friendly! This place is big enough for the boys to run and explore with areas for pictures and games. There's also a cute swing for anyone needing that nice picture to post. And one more thing, the portable bathroom is amazing! I'm never a fan of portable bathrooms, but this one is not a bit scary at all. It kinda reminds me of the bathroom on the airplanes but much nicer. Great escape for a few hours to enjoy with your significant other and/or with friends. Definitely nice place for small events. P.s. There is also a menu for light snacks, which I forgot to take a picture of.
