We regularily eat breakfast at Marthas when in Murray. The breakfast food is consistently good across the board. Order your bacon medium and it is some of the best ever. The biscuits and french toast are also excellent. The lunches aren't quite as good as their meat offerings for plate lunches are below average. However, the grilled chicken sandwich is very good. They have recently added a rear detached smoking area that has cleaned the atmosphere in main dining area. Bravo! The staff shares Murray hospitality with everyone. They are some of the nicest we encounter anywhere. Your food comes out quickly even when they are busy. read more

Fast and friendly service. The server was very attentive, our sweet tea never went below 2/3 empty. The place was pretty quaint, we were in for lunch. In and out in under an hour with two toddlers and a baby. Prices were cheap $7.50 for their Wednesday special (1 meat, 3 sides, and a roll). I wanted to give it a 5 star because of the service but food was average at best. Dry smoked turkey and pulled pork. The greens were bland, hash brown casserole was alright, and kids fries weren't completely cooked. Ok for a quick meal but not great. read more

The owner stated on FB that they tried a face mask for five minutes and didn't like it, so they were 'standing up' against it, and will not be making their employees wear one. Makes you wonder what other health guidelines that require a little effort are being skipped bc they just don't feel like doing it. Their customers should come first, not their comfort level. Been on tour with my band for the last week. We've been to several diners/breakfast spots throughout the eastern/central US, Martha's beats them all, leaps and bounds. Stopped in Martha's last night. The BBQ was good but I wasn't wild about the sauce. The service was great, our waitress was sweet with a charming southern accent. However, the downside was the cigarette smell. Although they only allow smoking in. the back rows for me, an ex smoker, the smell was intolerable. Ate here for the first time yesterday for supper and it didn't disappoint! The food isn't fancy but it tastes good and the service was quick and very friendly. I had a "plate lunch" which is a meat with three sides. I got country ham with three vegetables and I enjoyed every bite. I will definitely be back here! read more

My friend and I ate here several times while in Murray. The food was good and the staff were friendly. The chess pie is delicious.

Ordered the taco salad. When received, it was a few frito chips, some lettuce and brown beans with sour cream and a little salsa. This is an $8 salad. When I asked about meat they said 'it's in the chili'. Well, I didn't receive 'chili' on it either. Asked again and they weren't concerned. Definitely won't order from here again. read more

Such a great restaurant for Murray! I go to Martha's every time I come in town. J M. thinks it is "scary?" I'm not sure what he could mean by that. The servers and Martha herself are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. The food was served quickly, my coffee cup was always full. Best home-cooking in Murray by far. There is always a crowd of people. I've never been in Martha's when the place was empty, so I must not be the only one who thinks it's good! read more
