I got an omelet and my husband got a breakfast burrito and we both had a hard time finishing because it was so bad. I think the quality of ingredients must have been bad, because how can you mess up an omelet? They brought us out sausage that was hardened and shriveled on the ends. I tried to order carry out, got put on hold and forgotten about so I drove there and sat still on hold. I ordered and when the food was up in the window two young female employees stood there talking about non work related things while it got cold. Then someone brought a baby back behind the counter and young female employees held the baby and when they finally acknowledged the fact that my food was ready started to bag it up without washing her hands, when I asked if she was going to wash them she said it was not necessary. I've eaten at Martha's several times over the last year. Each time, I spend the next 12 hours regretting it. The breakfast food has been consistently cold, leading me to believe that it has been sitting for a while. In addition, the quality has been mediocre, and the taste has been very bland--no flavor. I was disappointed to see that my presence was an obvious inconvenience to my servers. Martha's used to be so good. My grandpa took my brother and I here thinking it was gonna be a special lunch because it was actually good when he went last. My brother ordered fish and chips with a side of onion rings, I got the buiscuts and gravy, and my grandpa, the chicken burger with some fries. After an hour, the food came in, and I saw the biscuit that was covered in gray and yellow gravy, tears simmered up in my eyes. The chicken burger that my grandpa got looked good, but he said it was awful. The French fries that were on the side were dark brown and black around the edges. He took a bite out of one, and oil flooded his mouth. The fish my brother got, was mushy and cold, and the onion rings were mostly ring. One of them was smashed by a finger. I think that they should provide a hammer and chisel for the biscuit and gravy, for the fish, an oven, and for the chicken burger a knife and fork, the fries a garbage can and a dish rag. I was pretty disappointed in the service and food at Martha's Cafe after reading the moderately positive reviews about this place. My sister and I stopped in on a busy Saturday morning. We were greeted by the hostess and directed to find whatever table suited our liking. This would have been fine and all, but all 5 or 6 available tables were covered in food and used dishes so there was essentially nowhere to sit. After making 2 or 3 rounds of the restaurant, a waitress finally offered to clear off a table for us. I suppose it was a busy morning, but the staff really wasn't particularly helpful nor were the other patrons particularly welcoming. My sister and I were the only Asian people in the establishment, and we couldn't help but notice the majority of other patrons awkwardly observe us as we tried to find a table. The awkward observation continued even after we were seated and even after we ordered our food. No one was outright rude, but again it wasn't particularly welcoming. On to the service. My sister and I ordered an omelette and pancakes. We literally waited over 40 minutes for our food and watched as people who ordered food after us get served and even finish their food in one case. I don't think our order was any more complicated than their orders, so it was slightly infuriating watching this entire event unfold. The finishing touch though was the quality of our food. My omelette was dry as a bone. The vegetables were shriveled and the cheese was clearly hardened. The pancakes were rather disappointing and only mildly warm. Whether it was the case of being a busy Saturday morning or just poor communication between staff, this meal was extremely underwhelming. Went here on Mother's day of this year. The food was horrible, undercooked, and cold. The wait staff was almost nonexistant. We had a large party and needed a large table. They had one table but said it was reserved. Everyone had to cram into a booth that looked like it was half the size of a normal one. I will do a skip a meal diet if this is the only option. We were getting a little tired of the restaurants over by the freeway and asked the waitress at our dinner restaurant the best place for breakfast on Sunday. She recommended Martha's. Even though I've been here a number of times, I hadn't heard of it, so we decided to try it out. So glad we did. The place was spacious, clean and the menu had many items. Our food was served promptly and prepared exactly as we asked. LARGE portions! I will say the sausage there is quite different. I liked it, but I wouldn't order it for picky children. Went in for dinner on a Wednesday night around 6:30. The place was dead, other than a group of random people at the counter who did not appear to be customers, just visiting. The restaurant was fairly dirty/dingy. Service was on the slow side, but our waitress was friendly enough. The menu was extensive and breakfast is served all day. Ordered the fish & chips (halibut). The fish was yummy, but half my fries were burnt and the side of broccoli looked like it had been cooking for days (gross). This is the second time we have gone here for dinner and both times it was a huge disappointment. This place used to be one of the best places in Blackfoot but no more. The food order itself was messed up and the table was sticky. The waitress acted like we were bothering her when we asked for it to get wiped down and when we asked for utensils to eat with. One person ordered the prime rib but it was covered in so much rosemary that it was almost inedible. Not everyone likes rosemary and it was rather sad to ruin a good cut of meat but is was over cooked so I guess it was doomed from the start. Worst experience ever! I have ate at Martha's many times over the years, but never again! Their service is always some what slow, but normally they are polite and the food is good. Not today! They were a little busy so we expected there would be a wait for food. After waiting for half an hour, the waitress asked if we were ok and we said yes, just hungry! She then proceeded to tell us that not only were they busy but that the owners had came in for breakfast and the staff has to stop what they are doing and wait on the owners' table first or they all get in trouble. After waiting 50 minutes our food came out. I pointed out the time and she argued with my saying it's not her fault it took so long and of the 35 tables 25 of them were full so of course it's going to take awhile. Then I realized my order was wrong. So I pointed it out and she told me that she had wrote it correctly on the receipt and it's still not her fault.
