This is by no means an authentic Mexican restaurant. Most dishes are far from it. With that being said, it's got a cozy small town feel that makes the restaurant feel very welcoming. Our waitress was kind and responsive, she refilled our chips and drinks quickly and the wait for food wasn't long at all. The food is too oily and fried I got sick multiple times after eating here. The people serving us was all was nice and quick but not worth it maybe 20 years ago I would eat here but now there's no way. The old building was always dirty the new building is somewhat cleaner but not by a lot and all of the character from the original version is gone it doesn't feel like a old-fashioned Mexican food restaurant. read more

Yuck Food was awful, the sauce on the burrito tasted burned. The burrito also had lettuce inside which was wilted and unappetizing. Rice was overcooked. We won't go there again! (Gotta say the service was good though.) Unfortunately, we wasted a few hours pay for a meal that was unappetizing and borderline inedible. read more

My family and I are from Blackfoot and I loved Melina's when I lived there. We ate there the weekend before Christmas and it was the first time in 20+ years. Walking into the new restaurant didn't have a good vibe. We were the only ones in there for a while and now I see why. It was also extremely cold in there. The food was absolutely awful! The fajitas were dry and overcooked and the large fajita's were the same size as the smalls. The other food was mediocre warm, cheese wasn't melted and it all lacked flavor. The only thing that was decent was the beans we asked for with the chips and salsa. Prices were over the top expensive for how awful the entire dining experience was. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in Blackfoot to choose from. Very disappointed and will never return. read more

Melina's is a Blackfoot gem! They have great food in a great restaurant! They can serve large groups in their big restaurant.

Melina's is an excellent restraunt, The food is fantastic and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Salsa was only tomato sauce, food was below average and service was mediocre. And that's after reopening in this new location

A bit costly as I only purchase salsa and chips to go. 16oz cup of salsa and a small box of chips cost $8.68. I only purchased as my husband loves the salsa. He said this was a very good batch this order. It is ground up not chunky just so you know all their salsa is this way. read more

There were many red flags when choosing to dine at Melina's. The first one being a white military man stepping out of the restaurant while simultaneously spewing racial slurs at us. Mind you we were a group of Mexicans. However, that isn't the restaurants fault, they can't control who goes into their restaurant. Now to the faults of the restaurant. The salsa tasted like ketchup with too much onion powder (the chips were good though). The tortillas had too much corn and the taste overpowered the rest of the dish. It was also very oily. Taco Bell would honestly be a better option and would probably be more authentic. The service was okay, though. This happened a few weeks ago though, so the food and service might've improved. read more

Yuck. The salsa tasted like ketchup, my husband had something that was supposed to be a sopapilla and it was tough and inedible. Lots of shredded lettuce on everything. One of our family faves! I love their salsa!! It's not a fancy place, but their food is yummy.

The food was good, but the service was lacking. We felt like a burden to our waitress and had to continuously remind her when we had asked for extra napkins or salsa. The food is very good. I eat here when I am in Blackfoot. I plan my drive time so that I can eat at Melina's.

So the place looks scary from the outside, but it's totally awesome! The salsa is very addictive! Get the Fajita's you can't go wrong! The fried cream cream is the bomb too! read more
