I've been seeking out Pambis for appliance repair since I was a teenager and as a homeowner now,…read moreI've continued to count on them to repair my dryer, my washing machine, my refrigerator and most recently, my oven when my stove burners wouldn't shut down. Pambis has always come to help and offered detailed, transparent pricing to explain the cost of the parts, the price of their labour and the fee for their visit. They've also been able to offer advice when seeking other home repair work from general contractors and plumbers. Their repairman is a good-humoured and pleasant man who always reassures me when I'm on edge over my clothes not drying or my washer not spinning and explains the problem fully and the various options for repair.

He offered to pick it up and take it to his shop to investigate the problem. Unfortunately the keypad was broken and the parts are no longer made (it's a Kenmark, made by Sears, who are now out of business in Canada), but Peter offered to dispose of it for me at no cost. I would highly recommend this company. It's the only one I'll be using in the future for appliance repairs.

Long story short, the truck was a day late costing me $$ for workers that were waiting for materials and delaying the project. I called and spoke to Amanda who claims she is the manager and I asked how she would make this right since it cost me a bundle because of their error. She said she would phone me back. She didn't. I called again and left her a message. No call back. Called again, and she happened to pick up the phone ... she said she forgot about my situation (genious customer service right there), and she wasn't really willing to do much anyway. The customer service here is terrible. I was looking for a bit of ownership to the problem and proactiveness to make things right. I get it, things happen. But when you get rude people who "forget" about your situation it's really an example of a company that could care less about their customers. She finally credited me a small amount, but it wasn't close to the cost of the delay. After everything, the low level of customer service made me more furious than the delayed truck. Bottom line: Save time and money and call someone else.

IF YOU WANT GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT IT IS NOT RIGHT PLACE TO GO!…read more The most terrible experience. I ordered countertop for my kitchen at the end of April of 2019. Yes, you are not mistaken, almost 1 year ago. At very beginning everything looked great. They sent technician to take measurements. He arrived on time with expensive equipment and unfortunately it was the last positive experience. There is list of what happened: 1. With all the expensive equipment measurements were taken wrong. Counter didn't fit the space, as a result when we didn't see installers cut drywall with all the vapor barrier (it is outside wall) and slide counter inside... I asked why they did it, answer was great - it didn't fit... I asked who will be taking care of damaged wall - answer they don't care and i am too picky... 2. There is was chip on the connection in between 2 slabs of the counter. I called the office, they sent somebody (guy name is Albert) for investigation. The Albert was amazing as well. his 1st answer was just excellent. He told me "Nothing is perfect in this life"... When you spent a lot of money for the defective counter it is exact type of answer you want to get... After almost 2 hours of arguing he promised to come to fix the issue. Unfortunately this promise was just a way to get out. As i mentioned at very beginning of my review counter was installed end of April of 2019 and today is Apr-6, 2020. As of today nobody came to fix the issue. I was calling this company multiple times and they always were promising to come in a month. As of now it is almost 12 months since the first promise... I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. IF YOU WANT GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT IT IS NOT THE RIGHT PLACE TO GO! IF YOU WANT MORE DETAILS SEND ME E-MAIL TO LEONID.GLAZER@YAHOO.CA AND I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH ALL THE DETAILS. I CAN EVEN SEND YOU PHOTOS SO YOU CAN DECIDE YOURSELVES

My experience with this company, in particular with Mary was a nightmare…read more I originally placed an order by phone to have a stair carpet fitted, which included taking up the old carpet. Mary quoted the price on the phone, and mentioned that lifting the stair carpet would cost $85 (inclusive of HST). The stair carpet was taken up before the fitters came and I called Mary on the day asking that the bill be adjusted to reflect this. She promised to call me back within 10 minutes to confirm the new amount. She never called. In the meantime the fitters were impatiently demanding that I sign the bill acknowledging that the work had been done. The fitters then handed me a copy of the bill, which looked like something that had been prepared by a preschooler: Mary had simply scrawled the total amount payable on it, with no breakdown of the various costs involved or how much carpet had been used. Subsequently the full amount of the bill was charged to my credit card, despite Mary having assured me the cost of lifting the stair carpet would be deducted. I then spent almost a month calling and emailing Mary to obtain a breakdown of the bill and requesting a refund of the overpayment of $85. She failed to return my calls and seldom replied to my emails. Eventually I wrote to her colleague in the hope of embarrassing Mary because of her inaction, which seemed to do the trick. I was finally refunded $56, which was considerably less than what Mary had verbally quoted on the phone. Unfortunately, as there was no breakdown on the bill of the costs involved, my credit card company was unwilling to refund the difference. A word of warning: if after reading my comments you still choose to order from Citi Flooring, make sure that you obtain a fully detailed WRITTEN quote BEFORE you place your order. Better still, order from somebody else!
