Memories of Soho My Beautiful Flooring - I am very sad to be writing this review of…read moreKhayeri/European Flooring. Four years ago, I decided to replace the laminate flooring in my condo with something easy care but beautiful. I chose Memories of Soho (luxury vinyl) offered and had it installed in the fall of 2020. The floor did indeed look lovely. At first. Imagine my distress when, after less than a year, the joins in several areas started lifting. I am not talking about movement but actual lifting at the joins and plank damage. I called Dean (Wasam, the original salesperson had moved on). He and Kerwin made a site visit. They claimed never to have seen this issue before and determined that the fault lay with my installer. Their click system was infallible if installed properly. They agreed to assume some of the costs for the damage and, after spending several thousand dollars more, about 40% of my flooring was replaced by a certified Khayeri/European Flooring installer. I was assured that now my problems would be over. And the floors did again look great. For a year. Then the same thing happened. Again, I called and Dean (He left the company shorty after) and then Kerwin visited again. Kerwin used a bottle of glue and made some improvements but the damage to the planks is permanent, and the floor is no longer beautiful and never will be. Inga (Dean's replacement) explained that this time the problem was low humidity. I got a long explanation about how to use humidifiers and dehumidifiers and was reminded of the terms of the lifetime warranty. If I want the floor repaired, I'll have to pay. Again. By the way, I have owned two houses and this condo for 12 years before I purchased this flooring and have never had a problem with flooring before. This is very sensitive flooring. So--buyer beware. If your home is ever too humid, or too dry or ...you may very well have problems every few months. Call the company immediately and Kerwin can glue things down before there is too much damage. Good luck. Me? I am not prepared to pay a few thousand dollars every other year, so I am now saving that money to buy a better floor from a better company. Tove F

My wife and I had always wanted to get a custom closet made, and decided to go with a well known…read morecompany. We received top quality service and the design consultant RP was able to answer all of our questions. Definitely go to their showroom a few times to get a sense of the colours and options that are available. First in-home consultation occurred Dec 21, 2019 and the installation occurred Feb 20, 2020. The in -home consultation is where they take exact measurements and start to design the closet and this takes at least 1 hour. The designing and consultation process took the longest several weeks as the design consultant was very busy in January. Deposit 50% to order materials, balance upon completion of work. Pros Final product exactly matched the planned 3D blueprints. Completed within our specified budget. Site was clean after installation. Study construction with limited lifetime warranty. Cons Will need to take at least 1 day off work or work from home as installation takes at least 6 hours and they don't install evenings or weekends. California Closest does not include or offer removal or preparation of the closet. So we decided to complete this work ourselves which is time consuming removing closet racks, patching holes and then painting. Took at least 6 hours. Communication was a bit tedious, as the Designer RP was on vacation over the holidays and they don't provide coverage by another designer. It took about 40 emails back and forth to ask about different options and colours. Every small change required a new 3D design to be made and a change in budget as different materials and options cost different amounts. I wanted to speak to the designer on the phone but because of the time difference of where she was on vacation and our work schedules we had to rely on email. Installer was not aware or did not have the parts to complete installation on the first installation appointment. I didn't notice until the installer had already left. The valet pins and scarf hook were missing, so we had to schedule a 2nd installation date. Paid $5K

My brother was appalled since he is having all his closets remodelled and this comment was ludicrous as he does not have a limit on his budget. Maybe she would like him to get a saw and cut the wood for the new shelving himself as well. Going elsewhere

I recently hired them to do some emergency water extraction from my flooded basement and while the technical crew who performed the work, were fine, as was the quality of the work, the lack of direct and clear communication from the office staff is extremely poor and unacceptable. There are way better companies out there who will respond just as quickly in emergency situations, with more professionalism and far less misunderstanding.

DO NOT HIRE! I was referred to Robert by his "partner", who had done work for me in the past but…read morewas too busy to take the job. Originally told I would save money by hiring Robert, I ended up thousands over budget and I had to have aspects of the renovation completely redone because the workmanship was so poor. Heavy pencil marks on the floor, paint smeared on the floor rather than properly cleaned (can't get it up now), paint on the ceilings, no cutting-in, coloured paint all over the trim, ZERO prep (painted over peeling paint), no drop sheets, rude and arrogant attitude, property broken. The floors dip in places because the concrete underneath wasn't removed properly. He refused to fix the paint job or the floors and left approximately $1,500.00 work unfinished. Thankfully, I hadn't paid him the last $1,500.00. One of the reviews listed has been written by the fellow Robert contracts to install kitchens - his folks installed mine. Kind of suspect, don't you think? He didn't finish the job either. Robert will show you many pictures of kitchens he says he has done. He does none of the work himself. All the work he did himself in my home was crappy - all of it. A terrible experience from beginning to end. I just wish I still had photos of the poor work he did.
