Rob is a man of MANY skills and talents, he's also very personable and welcoming. His chocolates look like little art figurines, from the colors to the interesting designs. Since my dad loves any gift that comes in a form of chocolate, I thought it was a perfect reason to get him something from Tschudin. I told Rob to select me six of his best sellers of dark chocolate. He did, I can't say what I got, but the one I personally had was the peanut butter. The peanut butter was creamy, and whipped, the slight bitterness of the dark chocolate was the perfect pairing, so tasty! My dad loved his gift, I think if he knew these were a bit pricier he wouldn't have had them in one sitting. We were greeted with a mostly empty display with lots of stuff everywhere. We did manage to get a small group of treats at a fairly high price point, but the attention to detail and quality of the chocolates produced were at levels typically not seen in Connecticut or even around the US. Ever since that first meeting, we try to make the trek here to get a few delectable treats to savor once in a while. The owner is very relaxed and uses his place as a ramshackle display of personality and skill. It's not prim and polished, but there's a few pieces usually on display, a subtle sweet smell in the air, and many interesting flavors and fillings of truffles dotting the display cases. Like a master tailor, this place is known by those who know. They look past the grit and enjoy the true gem. It's really good chocolate, pricy but worth it, and worth a trek.

Probably one of the coolest ice cream experiences that I've had. For those who don't know, Nitro Cream & Crumbz makes there ice cream for you on the spot using Liquid Nitrogen blenders. It essentially freezes the mix on the spot. A cool process that yields much creamier ice cream (that I read and in person confirmed). This isn't just your typical ice cream scoop and plop experience. During the experience, cool smoke from the liquid nitrogen fills the area as they stir your selected ice cream flavor. The process of the employees adding the ingredients is done all within your line of sight for a full investment into your delicious treat. The flavors are FUN and the end result is visually appealing to eat. I myself got the HOLY CANNOLI which had Riccota vanilla ice cream, crushed cannoli shell, dark chocolate and white chocolate chips wrapped in a spongy bubble waffle. It was delicious and creamy (as you hope from doing your homework on Liquid Nitrogen ice cream ). The staff were extremely friendly, bubbly even and helped explain popular options for a first time Nitro ice cream eater. And that adorableness comes in twenty flavor varieties - peanut butters, candies, fruits, cookies, and of course...chocolates. They cost between $1 and $1.20 each depending on the quantity you want. I bought a box of fifteen for $15. I had some time to kill before my appointment in Rocky Hill, so I also ordered a small coffee, lemon, and almond donut to enjoy on site. Now that's easier said than done because the store is small and only has a counter with two stools. Luckily, both were vacant so I settled in, drank their excellent freshly made coffee (small for $3.50) and savored my little donut treats. Indulge By Palazzo also specializes in coffees and protein shakes to help you wash down those donuts, and it looks like they are set up to sell ice cream in season. Decent little donut bites…read more Came here on a whim. Inside is a relatively small shop with a little display and lots of advertising for their catering business. We ordered a 8 pack of mini donuts and 2 protein doughnuts. The mini doughnuts came in a myriad of flavor combos. Those flavors were pronounced, the base is a cake doughnut so it's spongy but light. It's a good cake doughnut, but I'm not really a fan of cake style doughnuts. For me, cake doughnuts need to be right out the oven to be good. These were made recently, but cooled significantly and not to my preference. The protein doughnuts were dipped fresh. They were not much different in terms of consistency but it's a much denser doughnut and a bit of chew because of the protein powder. It also has the aftertaste of sunflower shells that health products tend to have. Not unpleasant, but makes it taste like standard "healthy" products It's not bad, but it's also not great. For the price is right for the quality, and it's one of the few dessert options for the area. It's worth a try if you're around or if you really like cake doughnuts, but I wouldn't trek there.
