This is one of worst marshalls due to the staff. Hopefully corporate can see this but staff speaks down employees and are very rude. The manager rudely yelled and spoke loudly concerning a return. I went into this store at about 5:30p, coming from working at the hospital with scrub pants on and regular shirt. Walked in and there was an angry looking African American lady at the front of the store on her cell Phone, at first I thought it was a customer. However, as I was browsing the store, I kept seeing the lady watching me. I was uncomfortable and figured it was loss prevention; before healthcare, I worked retail for 10 years. I found a few things that i didn't expect to get, so I didn't have a cart. I grabbed a canvas bag nearby and dumped the stuff in there. I'm still walking around browsing the store and she approaches me, aggressively, and asks if I need a cart for the things in my canvas bag, I say no, smile, and move one with my browsing. This lady continued to follow me around the store as I was browsing. I would've looked around more and bought more things if I didn't feel harassed by this lady. read more

I find myself coming here occasionally, mostly because I need something and it is a convenient stop for me. I have pretty mixed emotions about this store. There are times that I have been able to find great stuff for super good deals, sometimes I feel like the selections aren't as good. I will say, there normally is a pretty solid shoe section that is organized like a normal shoe store, which I appreciate! There can be some nice brands. The prices aren't really cheap in my opinion, but cheaper than most places. I personally come here for notebooks or cards, and occasionally exercise clothes. I have found that typically they have decent selections and good prices on these things. They also have a pretty good selection of beauty products for discounted prices. Workers are also off and on, I have had some really nice people help me, and I have also seen some employees treat customers not so great. This can be a hit or miss experience, but if you are just wanting to look around and see what you find, this is a great place to come! read more

Simply the WORST Marshalls ever! This place is the shame of the Marshalls! I'm a frequent shopper at Marshalls and always very happy with everything they offer. I even go to Marshalls in other states during my business trips and/or personal travels. I brought a face roller at Marshalls Tustin store, found missing parts (broken pieces) when I open the package at home. Since I live near by this Marshalls location, I went there for returning and purchasing new items. The lady at the cashier told me they never accept returns for items with broken or missing parts that purchased at another location of Marshalls. She insisted me must return it to the same location that I purchased. She also confirmed it is their STORE POLICY. This is the most ridiculous policy I ever heard of! 1. Marshalls corporate policy clearly indicates customers can return items to anywhere Marshalls stores within the U.S. What about I purchased an item in another state, should I visit that location just for returning??????? I asked her this question, she couldn't answer me. 2. I didn't break or use that item. I purchased the defected item ($12.99 +tax) and I should be able to return or exchange the item. I'm not even looking for any compensation of spending my extra time and gas for this transactions caused by Marshalls, I was just simply request them either refund or exchange the defected item. This location REFUSED to offer the bare minimum customer care service. 3. I didn't get a change to visit the same location (Tustin) but I happened to visit the Garden Grove location (Chapman and Brookhurst). Not only they accepted the return right away but also apologized for my inconvenience. What a different customer care service between these 2 stores!!!!!!!!!!!! Marshalls Orange store manager seriously needs to reconsider changing their ridiculous, unreasonable, stubborn, selfish store policy. Otherwise, you will lose business soon or later. Obviously you lost mine and my friends/family business. I will make sure to share my experience to my church members, coworkers, and neighbor etc. We don't want such unreasonable business in our neighborhood. I will also make sure to contact Marshalls corporate for the situation, request their action plan. In the meantime, Marshalls shoppers, DO NOT shop at this store. Super organized and always clean. Not like other marshalls i have been too. The staff is super friendly. The only thing i dont like is when they try to tell you " would you like to save 10% on todays purchase by signing up to a marshalls card?" Its gotta be the most annoying thing ever! i want to walk in those doors and say NOT INTERESTED paying CASH! and go one my way about shopping. The selection is hit or miss of course but they have good brands and big clearance rack for every department. They recently remodeled and still havent finished re-arranging some things. I am a frequent patron of Marshall's and have always had positive experiences. Today is the first time where I felt that I was not welcome in their establishment. I purchased an outfit from a different store. I quickly ran in and bought a style/brand that I was familiar with and had bought previously. Unfortunately it was not. I decided to go to the Marshall's off of Chapman and try my luck at finding the brand that I am familiar with. I got lucky and found exactly what I was looking for. I made my way to the register to do an exchange. I gave the associate my receipt and she proceeded to tell me that I needed to wait 24 hours before I could return the item. Huh? She stated that they have an old system and it wouldn't recognize that I bought the items from a different store and she couldn't return. I told her that I don't want to return just exchange. She told me that she couldn't do it. I asked to speak to the manager on duty who came over and she repeated the same 24 hour policy. I then asked for corporates number because what they were conveying to me made no sense. I had the items, tags still on along with the receipt. I did not want money back just wanted to exchange for the correct item. Manager on duty instructed the associate to call the other store to get make sure that I wasn't trying to return something that might have already been returned. Associate called and did just that. I'm standing there in disbelief as she calls the other store to confirm that 1) I bought it there and 2) I hadn't already returned it and was trying to double dip. I have never felt so humiliated or offended in my life. After she confirmed that I wasn't a petty thief she started to do the exchange. Unfortunately by this time I was done and didn't want an outfit that would remind me of this experience and I advised her to just return everything. I am so disappointed with the service and experience that I received today and can no longer allow myself to shop there at this time. read more

I hate coming to Marshall's because of this store. The staff here is rude af. This one lady tried to escort me out of the store claiming it was closed 15 min before it was closed! I was already walking towards the exit, but she did a great job making me feel unwanted here or making me look like I was going to steal something. She was good 20 feet away, but made it a point to flag me down to tell me to get the fuk out. Corporate won't even read this and it's sad that they keep rude employees at this location. I won't be back.. Well, maybe to bait her into doing that again so I can sue for discrimination and harassment. read more

Stay away from this location. The store manager Cynthia is horrible!! Wants to make her own rules for any returns with and without a receipt. Went in to return a comforter and pillows I bought for my daughter without a receipt and she would not even do an exchange. I missed placed the receipt and thought they would kindly provide me with store credit. She would not do anything to assist me. This location needs to teach their employees how to work with their customers!! Their receipt does not state you cannot return comforters without a receipt. My mother was accused by a manager at this Marshall's of stealing when she brought back a 12.99 item that the cashiers & security failed to remove she is 62 years old she bought the item for her grand daughter who lives in northern california for christmas and was to send it out that day in time for Christmas. she was embarrassed by this manager who refused to remove the tag without the receipt that my mother misplaced she was told that the only way to get the items security tag removed was if she knew the exact register time and date of her purchase my mother was told that the transaction could not be looked up by the register # and her card alone . She was discriminated against due to her age and was appalled that the manager plain out told her without the receipt, exact date or register she could not look it up (which is retail for how do I know you didnt steal this item from my store) . My mother was embarrassed and appalled that she would be accused of such a thing . My niece was to receive her items for Christmas . The fact that she had to call access (due to medical conditions at times she has hard time getting around)to take her to the bank to get the transaction information she is 62 and barely knows how to operate a smart phone ! While the manager accused her of stealing in so many words her security alarm at the door was broken the day of the purchase which was 2 days prior and still the day she returned with the item . My mother has never stolen a day in her life she had been discriminated against due to her age, I myself have worked for a giant retail chain and know the customer service procedures , and this manager told my mother that she could not look up the transactions for all 5 of her registers when I was told by my mother of this discrimination I was appalled and lived that she was discriminated against , lied to and called a stealer with in so many words . This a clean store that is very well kept up as far as merchandise. The personnel is helpful and always happy to help. I do have to say that compared to other Marshall's this one is lacking better quality and variety of products, however is still good to roam around for a good bargain. read more

I am a regular shopper but tried this location being that I work nearby. As a retail manager myself, I would never hire the staff they have working, I was in line and these women look miserable. The customer service I received from a particular woman "Missy" and her manager (really sad the manager looks as miserable as the poor girl) were very dissatisfying. The woman before me making a return was getting the nasty service as well. They threw dirty looks and did not even greet anyone. It was late when I went so I called corporate but they were closed but I will be calling today. This is the worst Marshalls where I have ever shopped. The customer service at this store is dreadful! The cashiers look miserable and are unpleasant to deal with. I requested to speak with the manager because of the poor service I received. When the Manager, Erica, approached me she neither greeted me nor introduced herself, and she looked unprofessional (wearing jeans and a very, very casual top) considering her position as the leader of the store, such that I had to confirm her position. After dealing with Erica it was obvious why the store is so shabby and some of the cashiers are tacky and lack customer service skills. I will not ever shop at this store again and I will discourage anybody else from shopping at this Marshalls. This store gives Marshalls a bad name. The stores in Irvine, Fullerton, and Buena Park are fabulous. read more

This Marshall was pretty good place to go to during my lunch time. Now I'm not to sure about that anymore. There were at least four employee watching me and my family while we were shopping. Every step we took they took with us. I just wanted to grab a few things that were definitely needed. The dressing room clerk was watching us then were walking through the other areas and some guy with really long black hair was watching us. Then other employee with long brown and blonde hair girl was watching us from the men's department. She was pretending to a tag some ties in the men's department. Then had another girl following us with some little purse rapped around her shoulder. I truly felt that me and family were single out because of our race. Those employee's perjuged us for our race and assumed the worst. Just to let them know everyone don't steal. I should have walked out this store but I felt their ignorant is going bite them in the butt someday. They need to trust all their customers no matter what race their are. I usually find things I like at Marshalls. But it seems like on some days, I find a lot of things to buy. And on other days, I don't find much. So I guess its a hit or miss. But what I like about Marshalls is that they carry pretty much everything you would need in in your home. From bedding to pet supplies to decor and all the things in between that you probably don't need but really want to buy anyway! They have great prices for many name brand things like purses, contemporary clothing, and pieces of furniture. And even better prices for things that aren't name brand. If you're like me, I get tired of clothing very quickly. And since style trends are constantly changing, you're wardrobe is constantly changing. Well for girls at least. So Marshalls is the place to go to find affordable clothes, shoes, and accessories. And not only that I buy things for myself here, its a great place to find gifts for others as well. I've gotten picture frames, candles, dog beds, and so many other things here. I would go here every week if I could afford my shopping habits! read more

STALKING BY ASSOCIATES. We thought we were imagining it, But we weren't . We were shopping and noticed the associate standing next to us folding clothes. No conversation, Just folding. We relocated to the shoe department . Same associate, Same scenario . This time she's stacking boxes. We continue to the children's Depart. And once more , our now familiar best buddy stands shoulder -to shoulder with us!! Pretending to be deep in thought, never making eye contact! - OK let me clarify a few things!
