We found it to be clean, bright, and well-equipped, with everything we could possibly need -- tons of washers and dryers in different sizes (washers were about $3.50-$7.50, depending on load size, with cycles that were fast but thorough) wheeled baskets and folding tables, relaxing chairs, an ATM and change machine, a kids' play area, WiFi and coffee! They even had items we'd forgotten, available at reasonable prices (e.g., 10 coated wire hangers for $1). Laundry Day was a genuinely pleasant place to take care of an unpleasant chore.

Didn't really need any assistance or service while shopping, mainly because I was shopping with my mother (before Mother's Day) and we were just trying to find things we liked and sounded interesting. The employee helping us at checkout was... seemingly indifferent to being there... but it's fine. In terms of value, we found everything to generally be within a reasonable price range - and I managed to find some really fun items, including strawberry mint (excited to use it in a cocktail) and an heirloom cherokee purple tomato plant. I also picked up a lovely little variegated string of hearts succulent and a couple other plants to add to my collection. Couldn't find a couple of the items I was looking for though (a friend asked me to see if I could find a Chinese money plant - and considering they're fairly common, I was surprised that Bristol's didn't have any), but one location can't have everything, ya know? Anyway, Bristol's was lovely and I'm sure I'll be back during future plant shopping adventures.

We went early saturday morning hoping to beat the rush and the summer heat. Upon arrival we were…read morethe first ones there woohoo then it went downhill. We walked to the patch and it was picked over pretty good. We saw bunch of guys in the field prior to opening to the public and perhaps picked them over pretty good. We stopped by the stand and they had massive strawberries!! We managed to fill our containers (none close to that quality) after awhile but seemed like every 3-4 plants one had a good medium size strawberry, most were tiny with a few rotten bigger ones and eaten/fungus mixed in. Got home and tried a few 'good' ones and they were very watery , not very flavorful. Prices were more than expected (internet research) and for the not so good quality of berries. First time strawberry picking, it looked like decent little farm just wish the berries were better and more plentiful. The ladies were nice. Might try another berry patch next time closer to home.

We decided to swing by Lagoner Farms, and bought some Cortland apples which had been in cold storage all winter, some freshly harvested asparagus (which was SO YUMMY! -- what a difference it makes to eat local foods!) And some super-dry champagne-like hard cider. Can you say YUM?!?! Not only was it a feast for the eyes ... and belly .... but did our souls good, to get out of town and into nature. Even if the trees aren't in bloom, we suggest you go do this! Drive along Lake Ave all the way to Pultneyville and then head over to Lagoner for a beautiful and tasty stop!

I am quite addicted to their Jake and Amos Dilly Beans and have heard the Brussels sprouts are quite good, but haven't tried them yet. They have a great selection of Thousand Island cheese. The extra sharp is my particular favorite. We never leave without at least one jar of honey. As far as I am concerned they have the best prices for honey that I have seen. That's what they have NOW. Just wait till apple season!!! Oh boy!!!!
