They also didn't have some basic home utensils. I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe the holidays and supply side issues. Glad it is here for groceries, and almost everything under the sun. That's where it does shine, and the pricing is very competitive. Employees were friendly. Less self checkouts here, which is my opinion helps. The store itself is well organized. I like the cleanliness. That alone plus savings, makes it a winner in quite a few categories.

We picked up the item we forgot to pack, and had a great conversation with the ladies at the register about how much math sucks. They were sweet and fun. I appreciate it when people seem like they don't hate their jobs. I hope this means cvs isn't a horrible employer. However, there was some small issue with our cvs reward card not working. They used our number and found us in the system, but it doesn't make sense that the card didn't work. We use that thing all the time in Baltimore. Cvs is our current pharmacy. Every time I go in there it's always something. Was in there this morning paying for my things and was asked if I had the 16 cents in change, I said I did not and got the eye roll and big sigh from the lady, which was far from the first time. This one is closest to me but from now on I will go to the other next to Food Lion on 211, always had great customer service there and always have their stock shelved instead of blocking the isles. The store was clean, bright and the shelves still well stocked. The best part was the customer service I received. I needed a number of items (and large quantities). Jason, the store manager, and Leslie, one of the associates, did everything in their power to help me find items, tally them up, and then even bag them in a very organized fashion. Wow! On top of that, Jason gave me a generoust discount and a number of handy bags which I will use to distribute the items. "shopping experience" in here, but not so much on this last visit. - Here's the scoop: - When I do my occasional shopping in this place, I usually get such a respectable amount of stash, that I pay by credit or debit. - But recently when I went in, I only wanted 2 items, at $1.00 each. - I had been miraculously gifted earlier in the day with a gold mine find in the form of a $5 bill successfully self quarantined behind my dresser, so off I went on a glorious shopping extravaganza to the Dollar store, a near millionaire at this place, I gleefully thought at the time. - Following my spree, I proudly strode to the checkout line, all the while fantasizing of what my $3.00 change would hold to make the rest of my day complete. - Could it be 7'11's pie day pizza special? (A large 1 topping for only $3.14 - today only! - I can do that!!) - A bargain burger and a drink? - I can scrounge up some extra change!! - Or should I save it? - Now there's an original idea!! -- On and on I dreamt along. The possibilities were endless!! - My turn with the cashier finally became a reality. - My total cost was $2.03, with tax. - I sadly parted ways with my beloved $5 bill and 3 unattractive, uncared for pennies, anxiously awaiting my goods and 3 $1 bills in exchange. - What I got was my bag, 2 $1 bills, and a receipt. - Luckily, however, by this time I had successfully recovered from my dreamy daze of more gluttonous shopping on the day's horizon, and was on full alert. - I told the clerk that my change was short a dollar. - She gave it back to me without question or apology, and I went on my way, a little OCD regarding this ... "situation". - So, much like any other self respecting, embittered for good reason drain, of course I suspected the old "skimming off the top" trick might be in the works here when paying in cash at this store (and others in this town by the way), and, as such, I still do. - Therefore, I won't purchase with cash there again (unless I go dumb or develop a masochistic desire to be ripped off). - Just be warned and on watch. - And by the way, if any of you dear and curious readers would like to know what I ended up doing with my fabulous $3 return jackpot, I ended up ultimately rejecting the junk food gorge, instead dining at home and saving it for another self indulgent cheap rainy day binge. - On watch.
