They are constantly putting fresh cut meat out. They also have excellant prices on canned foods as well. I buy several cans of vegetables at once. They are usually two for a dollar, which really stretches our money much further. Yes, some of the grocery items are a little more expensive, but the savings on several items MORE than covers the difference. This store is very much worth the trip to shop there.

The staff person at the counter wasn't too friendly but I don't know if I would be either given the park wasn't fully open due to the shutdown. Thankfully, this Wayside isn't federally run, so while we couldn't go to the NPS Visitor Center, we were able to get some keepsakes/souvenirs here to help commemorate our time.

LOCATION. This is the closest gas station to Massanutten. We stopped here only to fill up on gas…read more ACCESS TO/FROM PUMPS. Given the layout of the road to/from Massanutten, this gas station is easier to access when leaving Massanutten rather than going in. Once in, there are multiple pumps that were relatively easy to access. It tends to be a busy station with cars accessing the pumps and the parking spots directly in front of the store. GAS PRICE. The price per gallon was competitive with prices that we had seen on our way to Massanutten from central Virginia. We did notice a station on Rte. 33 towards Harrisonburg that was 2-cents per gallon cheaper later on the same day. We didn't go into the store, but noticed a sign for "Raise the Roost", chicken and biscuits which are sold in the store.
