It had a decent sized fresh produce section, prepared foods, and plenty of other quality items. The few things I got including beverages and high protein noodles, were not as expensive as I might have expected. I didn't get a fresh lunch but the options for doing so seemed good. The location is in what passes for downtown Harrisonburg, and it has its own parking but is also walkable from other sites that are likely to attract visitors. And it seems a walk worth making.

I went here today for lunch with my wife and was absolutely floored! The quality of all of the ingredients and the care taken by those who prepared it is second to none. When I scrolled through the pictures for this restaurant, I knew I wanted breakfast, a burrito or maybe a sandwich but I got there and I got distracted by the menu. They were really good. The masa was flavorful and it was the right texture. The rice was flavorful too. The next time I'm in the area I will be coming back in for something else.

Knew that we were going to stop at Buc-ee's, bc of course. They have a basket of bananas, and I picked a pristine one if not *slightly* green at the neck. Check out. $0.55. We walked 45 feet out the adjacent exit and ate the banana right outside the slider door so I didn't have to have an empty banana peel stuffed somewhere in the car for the next several hours. It was black to the core on the inside halfway down the banana, like the kind of black you don't keep eating, not just a surface bruise. Since it was clearly bad and it was ONE MINUTE after I bought the banana, I figured they'd be like - no problem, we'll make it right, it's a $0.55 banana. So we walked right back to the same cashier who had sold us that single banana one minute prior and showed him the black banana and asked if I could just get a replacement banana and he said it was too late. One minute, black banana, same guy. $0.55! So yeah, that's absolutely nuts. Do better, Buc-ees. That's really messed up. I was really looking forward to a banana.

Couldn't find a nicer bunch of people to do business with and the products they sell are absolutely top notch. They first caught my attention after seeing an article in Food&Wine magazine saying they had the best country ham sandwich in Virginia, that's not a small feat in a state known for hams, but they make it old school which is hard to find anymore. The simplicity of their sandwich is almost silly, but I'll guarantee you that you'll never taste anything better if you're a lover of ham prepared in these traditional ways. The ham is soaked to lessen the saltiness and then lightly floured and fried on a flat top which they serve on a very simple bun. It's easy to overlook the time and effort they put into making their country ham but it truly does shine in this sandwich, there are very few places left that cure ham the way that Turner does. The catch is that they only make these mini-masterpieces on Fridays during the summer and into the Fall, so plan your trip to pass by them on a Friday to experience these beautiful nuggets of ham history! Legend has it that their homemade pimento cheese is the ultimate addition to the ham sandwich, the lady that makes it was on vacation last week when I came back, but there's no doubt that I'll go for it my next visit
