A massive collection of over priced outdoor adrenal chairs, indoor food market and ice cream, oils and natural remedies, cards and gifts, kids toys, large candy section and dairy and meat products. Produce section was very small. It's a good collection but definitely not the Amish/ Mennonite groceries of the Midwest! It still has the nice rustic feeling and the barn like exterior and interior for a good country feeling!

But there is one thing that bothers us both-- the area is not air conditioned, and all the windows and doorways are opened. We bought some cheese and deli meats, but our issue was with the doughnuts! We both love maple bacon doughnuts, and though early afternoon, there were two left. As we looked at the entire selection- the case covered the selection EXCEPT for the back of the doughnut area. We noticed a bunch of flies all over the remaining ones, and wanted to throw up afterwords. How can they ignore this?? It's covered except for the back? Why have a case then? GROSS! Since the meats and cheeses were well covered we purchased a few; but you can forget those doughnuts and so should YOU!

Also, there's usually a bulletin board up displaying events happening in the area like live music, farmers markets, yard sales and things of this nature. Midtowne Market is a great little convenience store in downtown Harrisonburg. It has the little…read morefood items you might need on a whim. They also carry pre-made lunch type food. More importantly, and the reason I am writing this review, is that Midtowne Market stocks an ever changing selection of unusual/hard to find beers. They stock Rouge Ales, Bell's Beer (a good brewery from Michigan), and many other brands that you will be hard pressed to find without a trip to Northern Virginia. Finally, note that their selection is ever changing, so on a positive note there will usually be something new to try, but on a negative note, you might find your new favorite beer only to have it disappear the next time you visit. It's not perfect, but it's a refreshing change from the usual beers sold at supermarkets elsewhere.
