This is my second Buc-ees , that I've been able to say I've had the opportunity to go too. The first one was Richmond, KY in 2023. Visiting the area, this past weekend, was thrilled there was a location 15 minutes from my hotel in Harrisonburg, VA. I think going at night, experience bit different not as crowded. Purchased there famous nuggets, snacks, a shirt. Love the clean , art work lined bathrooms, just like I remembered. Here you never wait for a pump, with their being 120,and at the register they verify with you , on the screen it's your car. If your traveling like I was, or local to the location, go it's an experience like no other. I love Buc I'm going miss the cheap gas prices. read more

Was excited to try this place as I thought it was in Texas only. I never visited one when I was in TX so can't say how it compares, but this was a cool experience, especially for a gas station. What you are going to notice right away is that it is massive. There are so many gas pumps as well as parking spots outside. And then the inside is huge as well. We actually came twice..... the 2nd time it was mobbed with people, despite the size. Food decent and prices reasonable. Tried a few different bbq options. My first visit to BUC-EE's! I absolutely loved it! Great selection of items, loved the T-shirts, stuffed beavers, all the great souvenirs plus so much more. I had to try some of the food and I'm sorry I didn't get more to bring home. We had a long ride home and not enough cold storage. The chicken and fries were very good, very moist white meat and super crunchy coating. The fries were crispy and had a real nice flavorful coating. The "Beaver Chips" are fresh cut potatoes, perfectly thin, crispy and delicious! The smoked turkey bbq sandwich was loaded with nice thick slices of smoked turkey and the roll was delicious...I added some of the free pickles and now I wish I brought home a pound of the smoked turkey ( they sell the smoked meat by the pound.) My sugar coated almonds, pecans and cashews are wonderful. There are a large amount of bathrooms and they were very clean. We noticed there was no seating to eat....,not a big deal for us...we had just walked around looking and shopping for about 20 minutes. We cleared a nice little place up front in the car and had a little BUC-EE's picnic in the air conditioning! read more

I made the trip to Mt. Crawford so I could add this Buc-ee's location to my list since I've been a Buc-ee's fan for over fifteen years. I stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon (2-3pm), and had no trouble finding a parking spot, or navigating my way around the store. This location isn't as big as some others, but has all your Buc-ee favorites, clean bathrooms, and plenty of gas pumps. If you're wanting to stock up on Beaver Nuggets, flavored popcorn, candy, and souvenirs you won't have any trouble. The brisket burrito I bought for lunch was underwhelming. There was very little brisket, and a lot more beans. For almost eight dollars, it's a tasty burrito but could've used a little more TLC. Alright, don't throw stones at me... I do t think Buc-ees is for me. We were really looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about and wow-wee it was a wild and frenzy-filled experience. Folks were loading up on everything Buc-ees and you really have to keep an eye on your kiddos due to it being so packed. I wasn't expecting how hard it would be to find parking and how much "stuff" they sell like clothing and decor... We opted for a brisket sandwich since they're known for these, hot nuts and homemade potato chips for an afternoon "family snacking sampler". We ended up eating them in the car because we couldn't find anywhere to sit inside. Worth checking out once just to say you have but I don't think I'll be going out of my way to make it happen again soon. read more

Wow! Never in my life have I experienced this kind of travel stopover at a humongous gas station! Yes, it's true, tons of gas pumps, tons of the cleanest restrooms I've ever used at a gas station. The food is undeniably overwhelming! My husband and I each had a basket for shopping. Their famous beef jerky filled both our baskets. We tried their popular brisket sandwich's... available in 2 sizes. Get the normal because that big enough for 2 people. The beaver chips are homemade potatoe chips. Staff is so friendly. I had no idea there was a Buc-ee's in Virginia, but as my husband and I were driving up I-81 and I saw a sign that said "Buc-ee's-55 miles" I told him that is where we were going. Apparently I'm not the only person who appreciates Buc-ee's because the place was packed! But they manage the crowds well. I had to use the restroom and it was very clean, as can be expected at Buc-ee's. I had to buy a new Buc-ee's t-shirt to replace one which I'd purchased in 2016 at a Buc-ee's in Texas. We weren't that hungry but I had a chocolate pudding parfait and it was soooo good. If you're driving near Harrisonburg, make sure you stop and experience Buc-ee's. You'll be glad you did. read more

This was my first Buc-ee's. Like... EVER! And I have to say, it totally lived up to the hype! If you've never been to one, first thing to note is the sheer scale and magnitude of this place. It's MASSIVE. No other word for it. I've been in department stores that were smaller. Fortunately, the walls are well-marked, so you can fairly easily find what you're looking for. I know folks like to rave about their bathrooms... and I wasn't sure I would mention them, because... bathroom. But, I had to check it out, and it was amazing! Red/green light indicators over the stall doors, very clean overall, everything in working order, everything very efficient and modern. It was honestly worth checking out! So many gas pumps... I didn't see any lines, which is good. We were just there for a pit stop and lunch, so I can't speak to the pumping experience itself. The BBQ is well worth it. I kept hearing everyone say "you gotta try the brisket," so we tried it. Chopped, on a bun. And boy howdy... so good. Smokey, savory, sweet, beefy, tender... it's everything you'd hope for in a chopped brisket sandwich. I got the pulled pork, and I was equally impressed! Very smokey, very juicy and tender. Both came with sauce, but no other condiments. But, they do have extra sauce and pickles if you want them. (I always want pickles with my bbq) This was a great experience finally making it to my first Buc-ee's. I get why it's basically a cult now. What a travel Center. We stopped for the gas then went inside and WOW! First, the food: brisket sandwiches and all sorts of other prepared foods. Second: the amazingly clean bathrooms. How do staff keep it all so clean? Third: All of the other products for sale including a large selection of hot sauces, stuffed animals, cups, blankets and much more. What's not to like about a Buc-ee's...as long as you can get in the parking lot and it's not overrun with people. That was the surprise with this location because my last couple of tries to stop at a Buc-ee's had been met with a line of cars to get into the packed parking lot which resulted in me heading right back to the interstate. There was plenty of parking and a reasonable amount of people inside at this location. Buc-ee's is a pretty good attempt at being all things to all people. A shopping area that's Cracker Barrel shopping on steroids. Plentiful gas pumps. Clean restrooms. Fresh sandwiches including a tasty pulled pork. A bakery, a deli, snacks and a soda fountain area longer than many of your arms. It really was nice to be able to actually stop and shop at a Buc-ee's. I probably will stop here again on my return trip. read more

Ok This place is awesome and crazy at the same time. Staff is very helpful and we're super friendly. We drove 2 hours of the way to see this place. Was it worth it ! You bet. Bathrooms are super clean and huge. There hot food selection was really good, it gets really busy at lunch time we had to wait for a few things but it was worth it, no outside tables so we ate in the tail gate to the beautiful background of farms. read more

The restrooms were exceptionally clean -- easily one of the highlights. -- I also loved the light indicators showing which stalls were available. The store itself is huge, with tons of Buc-ee's merch and plenty of space to move around without feeling crowded. The hot food options were just okay for me -- a lot of pork-heavy items and no breakfast chicken sandwiches, which was a bit of a letdown. That said, the brisket was decent. I'm from the West Coast - we don't have Buc-ee's. I've been once in Kentucky and driving in Virginia when I saw this we pulled right over! It's insane!! There are literally like 100 gas pumps. Clean reatrooms. Friendly employees. The store inside is like a Walmart. They have incredible bbq - pulled pork and brisket that's so good. Candy, jerky, gifts, drinks, home made fudge. One evening on our way home driving, we saw a bumper sticker that said "I love Buc-ee's" on a car with a Texas license plate in front of us. As soon as I got home I searched in Google Map for the closest Buc-ee's and voila! There is one in Virginia! This is how I found out about this location and we went here today. Everything was as people described in various places. The bathroom was spacious, modern and clean. There were so many gas pumps, the brisket sandwich was delicious, the staff were nice, there was plenty of parking space, and you cannot bring your dog into the store but they are quite dog friendly outside the store proving areas for dogs to walk around and free poop bags. I wish it were a little closer so I would be able to visit more often. read more

Yes, Buc-ee's is an absolute must stop for weary travelers going up and down Route 95, 81 and more. They have over 100 gas pumps to keep the lines moving. Their bathrooms are impeccable and again they have so many of them that there is barely ever a wait. The store is gigantic filled with all sorts of items from clothing, housewares, licensed Buc-ee's merch to all sorts of foods to purchase including fudge. They are famous for their sliced brisket, barbecue sandwiches as well as their jerky. I personally have had their crunchy chicken sandwich, Italian sub as well as their sliced brisket sandwich. I adored the crunchy chicken and sliced brisket sandwiches. Buc-ee's is such an experience that I never pass one without pulling over and going in. It's like a small city. The only problem is that Buc-ee's are so much fun to shop that it delays your trip by the amount of time you are browsing! Hahaha! read more

We LOVE BUC-EES. And don't mind the 2.5 drive to get their. We always buy a shirt, visit the drink and jersey wall, and of course get his Beaver Nuggets and the Triple Brisket Sandwich. But this time we did a little more and tried the chicken box. For the first time, I was disappointed. After waiting 15 or so minutes for the box I was disappointed to receive 3 small pressed meat chicken tenders with A BUNCH of fries. I ate the tenders and gave him the fries. Back to the other factors that NEVER disappoint. Like the Banana Pudding... OH MY . It ain't my mama's but it's in their swinging for the fences to get a wink from me . We also purchased the Triple Brisket sandwich, the Sliced Brisket sandwich, and the Turkey sandwich.... to bring home of course. In the past we've purchased the stuffed Tender Loin, the stuffed Chicken and the "fresh" jerky in addition to other goodies such as the Candied nuts, the charcuterie cups, and the fudge. Like I said... WE LOVE BUC-EES. And though we've only been 2, the one in South Carolina and now the Rockingham County, VA location, we have enough paraphernalia as if we've been to multiple . Whenever we go on vacation one of the first things I do is look for a Buc-ees . Go on and take a trip to the Happiest, Cleanest and Biggest Gas Station around. You won't be disappointed. We attended the opening of Buc-ees in 2025. It was a zoo. But we wanted to see the famous bathrooms and sample some of the food. Hubby enjoyed the brisket sandwich. The Buc-ees beaver tots were disappointing. They seemed like frozen tater tots. The banana pudding was delicious. The bean potato cheese taco was good. The fudge is excellent. You can sample all the flavors. The famous wall of jerky is there. T-shirts, pj's, toys, keychains, dishes and all sorts of items are for sale. Make sure you want your items. You can't return items (only exchanges are allowed). Gas is cheaper at Buc-ees. It is worth visiting at least once. read more

Buc-ee's has the following and its reputation for a reason. Everything is Texas Sized and done RIGHT. I visited the Mt. Crawford location while traveling to see family. This location is easy to get to right off the exit. The parking lot was ample, and the lines inside kept moving. The staff were friendly and professional. Cleanest restrooms you will find! I grabbed a chopped brisket sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich (wish they make a super sandwich with some of both) and a bag of chips. Almost everything they sell is Buc-ee's branded and the quality does not disappoint. Their pulled pork is done without sauce which I like. The brisket sandwich is sweet, smokey, and tender, I can't seem to find anything I don't like. Now this was an experience. My first ever Buc-ee's! I was in town for work and traveling around Virginia when I spotted it. I mentioned that I had never been to one before, and she immediately pulled off the exit so I could check it out. She filled up her car and met me inside. Been to this Buc-cee's a few times already and I'm enjoying dropping by on the way going south. Wish they'd open one up a bit closer to NoVA, we'll see if that ever happens Everytime we've gone there's always chaos and lines and they've run out of the bbq/brisket. And I wish they had more seasonal sweaters that fit a bit better (the one I got ended up being too long and loose). My friend was also complaining about no seats but I can see why they don't have tables, to get people in and out faster. Tons of gas pumps and the bathrooms are indeed very clean. Lots of fun merch, even store branded dog toys and pickle ball paddles so there's something for everyone. And so much snack food, the aisles were chock-full of treats. Ive been to the one in TN and the only difference is they dont always have food on the shelves which is frustrating. Its the same size as other bucees but maybe because its newer, much more people here?? You can be in and out in about 40 minutes. I was excited with the timing of this Bucc-ee's opening in June as it would calm down by the time I got here in August. And yes, at 7am on Saturday morning, it wasn't at all busy. Plenty of parking and most of the gas pumps were free. Starting off with super clean restrooms as Mrs. K. reported that the ladies side was great and I could see the same for the men's. Then, shopping. All the merchandise from hoodies to T-shirts to shorts to sweatpants. Lots of stuff for kids and babies and pets. Food? Fudge and jerky and nuggets and candies nuts and beer and coffee and soda fountains and banana pudding and brisket. All clean and stocked and ready. I do wish I'd waited to get here to fill up.
