Whether you're stopping in to shop, get some delicious food, or need a restroom on your road trip, it's probably the best one-stop-shop of all time. The best part? The prices were actually reasonable. You would expect a tourist-y trap type establishment like this to get away with overcharging for goods but I was pleasantly surprised with the value. It's a little overwhelming, honestly! So much ground to cover! Make sure you have time to explore when you visit. The jalapeño honey beef jerky was some of the best I've ever had. It was tender and juicy and perfectly flavorful. We will absolutely be back anytime we have the chance!

They were in order and a breeze to use. Came back out to grab a drink and snack for the road. I then got in line, bypassed the self checkouts to get an item from behind the counter. The staff here were kind of fun. They kept it moving though. Having gotten my items I headed back outside to try and get out of this lot. With the amount of customers here, it can take some time to get out of your spot. Not only that, it may take some time to get on the road in the direction you need to go. This is a very busy intersection and you do need to be careful when exiting.

But the best thing about Midtowne is the amazing selection for EVERYTHING. This is the place for a beer snob....they even sell Delerium! Not to mention the amazing support they show for the local market--they sell muffins, cookies and other baked goods made by local people, and always have a few CDs from local bands (which Harrisonburg has no lack of!). Also, there's usually a bulletin board up displaying events happening in the area like live music, farmers markets, yard sales and things of this nature. More importantly, and the reason I am writing this review, is that Midtowne Market stocks an ever changing selection of unusual/hard to find beers. They stock Rouge Ales, Bell's Beer (a good brewery from Michigan), and many other brands that you will be hard pressed to find without a trip to Northern Virginia. Finally, note that their selection is ever changing, so on a positive note there will usually be something new to try, but on a negative note, you might find your new favorite beer only to have it disappear the next time you visit. It's not perfect, but it's a refreshing change from the usual beers sold at supermarkets elsewhere.
