First time visiting Buc-ee's after hearing SO much about it!…read more I was NOT disappointed! It certainly lives up to every bit of the hype. Anything you could ever imagine needing is here. Whether you're stopping in to shop, get some delicious food, or need a restroom on your road trip, it's probably the best one-stop-shop of all time. The best part? The prices were actually reasonable. You would expect a tourist-y trap type establishment like this to get away with overcharging for goods but I was pleasantly surprised with the value. It's a little overwhelming, honestly! So much ground to cover! Make sure you have time to explore when you visit. The jalapeño honey beef jerky was some of the best I've ever had. It was tender and juicy and perfectly flavorful. We will absolutely be back anytime we have the chance!

It has tons of gas pumps with no waiting and plenty of regular parking as well if you just want to head inside. The inside is of course very clean and they have the best bathrooms of any travel stop. IYKYK. This location feels tailored to the area. It has Virginia themed merchandise mixed in with the classic Buc-ee's gear and the whole place is bright, welcoming. I love all the dog stuff like dog toys and the doggy snack bar; I only wish they would become dog friendly already. The passive aggressive signs for dog owners do get annoying but I still love the place . The employees are great and everything moves along quickly. So even if you find yourself, lingering and getting a bunch of stuff you don't need, like me, at least you won't be waiting in line too long. If you're driving through the area and you see the Buc-ee's sign do yourself a favor and pull off. Stretch your legs, grab an iced drink, some beaver nuggets and lots of gifts for your poor dog who has to stay in the car.

Not to mention the amazing support they show for the local market--they sell muffins, cookies and other baked goods made by local people, and always have a few CDs from local bands (which Harrisonburg has no lack of!). Also, there's usually a bulletin board up displaying events happening in the area like live music, farmers markets, yard sales and things of this nature. More importantly, and the reason I am writing this review, is that Midtowne Market stocks an ever changing selection of unusual/hard to find beers. They stock Rouge Ales, Bell's Beer (a good brewery from Michigan), and many other brands that you will be hard pressed to find without a trip to Northern Virginia. Finally, note that their selection is ever changing, so on a positive note there will usually be something new to try, but on a negative note, you might find your new favorite beer only to have it disappear the next time you visit. It's not perfect, but it's a refreshing change from the usual beers sold at supermarkets elsewhere.

They were in order and a breeze to use. Came back out to grab a drink and snack for the road. I then got in line, bypassed the self checkouts to get an item from behind the counter. The staff here were kind of fun. They kept it moving though. Having gotten my items I headed back outside to try and get out of this lot. With the amount of customers here, it can take some time to get out of your spot. Not only that, it may take some time to get on the road in the direction you need to go. This is a very busy intersection and you do need to be careful when exiting.

I said in a fairly loud voice, "Hello!" Not to be rude but just to let employees know a customer was actually there. You'd think the station would want someone at the counter in case someone came in. After a few moments, I was about to knock on the counter when someone arrived from a back room and rudely told me to stop yelling in a louder voice than mine. I wasn't yelling, just trying to get someone's attention. I ignored the comment since I just wanted to get some gas and leave. I couldn't fill it up since you had to give a specific amount, so Shell and this station got less of my money than they could have.
