The store was well-organized and clean, and we found everything that we intended to buy. As with our home Food Lion, I'd love to see a bigger variety of fresh fruits and vegetables ... nonetheless, what was there was fresh. The check-out clerk was friendly and efficient; products went through at their correct prices. Parking was free and plentiful, and the small shopping center where it's located is easy to access as there is a traffic light off Rte. 33. We appreciate that patrons at any Food Lion location can earn/redeem incentives through their MVP Shop & Earn Monthly Rewards Program.

Caution: Sales Associates in this store treat customers like thieves…read more The Primo water bottle collection site in front of the store has been broken for at least 5 years. When you return empty bottles, the machine does NOT provide a return ticket. On several occasions, my husband has been asked by the lead Sales Associate for his exchange ticket. We have briefly interacted with this lovely woman for years; however, the fact is she knows the Primo machine does not provide exchange tickets when she's asking you for the ticket. On another occasion, a younger Sales Associate did the same thing and then told my husband they are trying to make sure people are being honest. We cannot drink our well water and purchase Primo exchange bottles at Food Lion routinely. To avoid this accusatory encounter, I have now resorted to self-checkout. To do so, simply search for the product by typing "Primo" and select the 5 gallon exchange. The lead Sales Associate will still give judgmental looks, but she can't do anything about self-checkout personal accountability. The honor system does not work if you're going to routinely accuse your customer base of theft. Fix the Primo exchange machine and then you will fix the problem.

This store had everything we needed and more! I've been to a few Martin's locations before, but this one takes the cake. The variety of produce and brands was fantastic--felt like a perfect blend of Publix and Giant, which is saying something! The staff were super friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. Whether you're stocking up for a trip or just grabbing a few essentials, this Martin's is definitely worth the stop.

Their return policy for damaged doordash delivery could be better integrated into Aldi account options. They are on the ball for helping you find anything. For returns or other customer service issues, it's not always easy finding someone to help because they tend to hide in the back office. Even if you are standing obviously waiting for help... they will just stare at you and eventually emerge after a few minutes to assist you. So that's the one area it could be improved. Other than that it's a vastly better easier less friction shopping experience than other grocery stores.

It had a decent sized fresh produce section, prepared foods, and plenty of other quality items. The few things I got including beverages and high protein noodles, were not as expensive as I might have expected. I didn't get a fresh lunch but the options for doing so seemed good. The inventory varies, depending on what suppliers had too much inventory of. Some items might be close to the expiration date. Many of those items are in the chilled areas at the back of the store. Large creamer containers could be two or four/1.00. Bottles of juice could be 2/$1.00. Cottage cheese or yogurt can be as low as .10 or .25 each. There are lots of items that aren't expiring. They are inexpensive too. There is an entire aisle of cases of soda. I got 12 packs of Birch Beer (think root beer with a wintergreen flavor) soda for $7.99. The variety was unique. Soup flavors were limited and priced low. I bought the Grilled Cheese & Tomato flavor soup for 2/1.00. It tasted as advertised. There were several types of microwave soups, convenient for trips or lunches for 2/1.00. The baking area was varied and unique. There were at least 30 types of flour, including gluten. Salad dressing bottles were .50 for 8 oz and 1.99 for 16 oz. There were larger sizes too. There were unique baking flavors (eggnog) and lots of filling flavors for pies and pastries. A family of five seemed very excited about giant mayonnaise containers for $6.00. The chips and snacks were mostly inexpensive. The only section that didn't seem to have a discount were the Little Debbie's. Bottles of Gatorade were .89. Snack bag sized chips were 2/$1.00. The household row had toilet paper & other paper goods, plastic bags and containers. A 10 lb bag of ice was $1.99. The employees are friendly. The bathrooms are clean.

This, like all other Costcos, is my happy place…read more And I dare say... this Costco is actually my happier place. I'm not quite sure what it is... -A better planned out parking lot? -A less enthusiastic local fandom? -The time of day that I went? But this Costco suffers from none of the annoyances that I deal with at my local Costco in Gaithersburg MD. First off... *It's easy to park, and I didn't have to walk a mile from my parking space *The gas station didn't have a line around the block like the Costco gas in Beltsville *The lines at the register were almost non existent *And I could make my way through the aisles without feeling like I was in two hundred people's ways I'm assuming that this is just location, but man was this a top notch Costco experience. Also, the staff there was very friendly. I asked the meat guy about the briskets there and he was happy to point out all the options. I was trying to find protein drinks and the Costco worker showed me some real southern hospitality. Man... if I was in Harrisonburg I'd be at this Costco so frequently, I guarantee you they'd all know my name lol. It'd be like my "Cheers" Except I'd be buying fish, flowers, and eggs at ridiculously low prices. Hats off to the Costco in Harrisonburg VA. Good job!
