If the owner had to suffer through the repulsive nature that these animals are going through I'm sure he or she would view things a lot differently.

It's closest to and shares a space with the new soap shop, Essentially Zen and has the side steps leading up to The Depot Grill. They have tons of items inside and a large raw hide bar area. They had grooming items, leashes, toys, facial cleaner, flea and tick treatments, allergy friendly foods for dogs and cats and loads of treats. However, WW also has a small cat room in the back that holds a well selected (albeit somewhat limited) variety of merchandise for feline lovers. I have purchased a little bit of everything here (when I am in the area) and have nothing but good things to say about them. I have even noticed that their products seem to outlast some of their competitors cheaper quality items. Lastly, the staff really could not be more lovely! It is pretty obvious they only hire pet lovers and seem to genuinely care about their customers and the overall community.

However, I will definitely stop into their other locations should I pass them, and if I find myself in Middleburg ever again, I'm sure there will be a return visit. At Harrisonburg Puppy City, Two of my friends and I went to Puppy City to see what puppies were…read moreavailable. we found two puppies we were interested in (a dachshund and a mini Australian shepherd). We asked to first see the dachshund, and once in the room with the puppy, when we requested a toy, I also mentioned that if another one from the same litter was back, if we could see both the male and female. The older lady informed us that there was a two-puppy rule since it was a busier day; therefore, we told her we were interested in the mini aussie as well and that we would stick to just the male dachshund. A few minutes later, a younger girl (who turned out to be the older lady's daughter) came over with the female, asking if we would like to see her since she knew we were interested. Before giving us the dog, I asked her if we would still be able to see the Aussie, to which she told us yes because the two dachshunds were from the same cage. When we were ready to give them back the older lady came to get the puppies, to which i asked if we could see the Aussie now. She then proceeded to loudly say "do you not remember the rule I told you earlier? I don't like that you went behind my back", when we questioned and informed her that the younger lady told us we would still be able to see the other puppy. The older worker then caused a scene and raised her voice, stating that her daughter had "already told me what happened". Her increased and rude tone drew the attention of all the other guests in the store, causing everyone to go silent and look at us. During this whole altercation, her daughter had basically hid in the back corner when I first mentioned what she had said. My friend had mentioned to the younger lady that she had serious interest in a dachshund and will now no longer be returning/intrested in a puppy from there. I am extremely disappointed about how the situation went because it seemed to be a miscommunication between the mother and daughter. The whole interaction and visit was extremely unprofessional.

Went to visit a Westie puppy named Annie this past weekend that was already 4.5 months old. She'll…read morebe 5 months on July 19th. When we were there, we negotiated an agreed upon price by both parties. I discovered she has a large umbilical hernia while we spent time with her. Amazing that no one knew she had it or they just played dumb. They told me they would pay to have the hernia repaired. We decided to wait and I called my vet to see what the hernia repair would cost. I called yesterday and offered to pay that much less (the cost of the surgery) for the dog because I don't want to have to try and collect the money and I'm not sure they truly would have honored what they said about paying for the surgery. I told them that I would take the dog home that night but they refused to budge on the original agreed upon price. All I wanted them to do was subtract what it was going to cost to repair the hernia. They refused. So were they really going to honor their commitment to pay me for the repair? Highly doubt it. I was put on the phone with Connie, who refused to back down on the price. I said, "I'm willing to give this dog a home tonight. She has been with you for too long." It didn't matter. I don't know if she didn't understand the math or just wasn't going to keep their word on paying to repair the hernia. She told me she was going to call me back after talking to the owner. She called back today and told me the owner still said no. So that poor dog will continue to sit because I simply wanted to collect the money up front for the hernia repair surgery and they refused. They're unethical and really don't care about those puppies. They can tell you all they want about how much they care, but you should have seen the small 'crib' she was sharing with a larger Shiba Inu puppy. There was no room for them both. My heart breaks for Annie. She could have had a home with us.

I wandered in there to see if he could get the organic pet food I was currently ordering from Chewy at the same price, and he made it happen! I much prefer to shop local than support big online companies, and not having tons of boxes to dispose of from Chewy auto ship is lovely!! I hope everyone in the area stops in to see what they have to offer and, if they don't have something, don't be afraid to ask!

The staff is extremely knowledgeable about their products as well; they were able to recommend a brand of food for my dog who has a lot of skin problems. She's doing much better now on the new food. If you want to feed your pets high end, good quality food don't waste your money on the stuff they sell at petsmart and the grocery store. Oh and they have a rewards program. Your tenth visit you get I think 10% off. Which makes it worth it to stock up on extras on that trip. They sell rawhide free bones that my dogs love, so we usually get a couple of those.
