After visiting three times with my girlfriend I'm a believer in this place, their staff is nice and helpful and animals seem to be of quality. They have had some really cute puppies here, and their prices are very good for a retail shop. They allow you to play with the puppies and get accustomed to them, which is critical in figuring out if the dog is right for you. Their setup is secure but laid back, it's very nice. They seem to have a vested interest in the animals which I appreciate because as a seller you have to find the balance. I'm impressed and we were so close to pulling a trigger on a beautiful puppy but will wait until she graduates from college at James Madison University. Don't just take my word for it though, go check it out yourself!

The treatment of these poor puppies not even a few months old, is absolutely disgusting. The dogs are matted in their own vomit, pee, and feces. I watched a month old Dachshund puppy fall through the grates and have to attempt to get free. If the owner had to suffer through the repulsive nature that these animals are going through I'm sure he or she would view things a lot differently.

"We are only doing business on the sidewalk". "The best stuff is on the sidewalk," The owner tells me as I try to figure out if the store is actually open. It's open, but I can't go in. No one can go in. What's the problem, he asks me? I look at the clap trap on the sidewalk, look at the owner wondering why I'm not delighted to stand on the side walk and shop in 95 degree sun, and I walk away telling him that "I can only take so much past-pandemic craziness" I don't think he understood. It's closest to and shares a space with the new soap shop, Essentially Zen and has the side steps leading up to The Depot Grill. They have tons of items inside and a large raw hide bar area. They had grooming items, leashes, toys, facial cleaner, flea and tick treatments, allergy friendly foods for dogs and cats and loads of treats. I especially like that they have a cooler up front where they have puppy cookies and pastries and little birthday cakes. Staff were friendly and greeted us and offered assistance as needed. A nice selection of good-quality food, treats and toys, and they also carry my favorite leashes from UpCountry. I would have bought one, but they only had the narrow widths, and I like the regular 1" width for the boy. However, I will definitely stop into their other locations should I pass them, and if I find myself in Middleburg ever again, I'm sure there will be a return visit. The ladies working were very nice, and I commented to my friend that if I were ever to work in a shop, I would want it to be a pet store since the customers tend to be the friendliest on earth!

However, WW also has a small cat room in the back that holds a well selected (albeit somewhat limited) variety of merchandise for feline lovers. I have purchased a little bit of everything here (when I am in the area) and have nothing but good things to say about them. I have even noticed that their products seem to outlast some of their competitors cheaper quality items. Lastly, the staff really could not be more lovely! It is pretty obvious they only hire pet lovers and seem to genuinely care about their customers and the overall community.

We are suing. She informed my daughter that she's been doing this for 65 years and can't be stopped. Lol!! While my daughter was in the shop trying to return the dog, the dog she purchased's brother was bought out from the back and sold to another customer. The staff purposely bought the dog past my daughter's dog so that she would get excited just as someone else took him away. Evil behavior. Shop elsewhere if you want an honorable experience.

I wandered in there to see if he could get the organic pet food I was currently ordering from Chewy at the same price, and he made it happen! I much prefer to shop local than support big online companies, and not having tons of boxes to dispose of from Chewy auto ship is lovely!! I hope everyone in the area stops in to see what they have to offer and, if they don't have something, don't be afraid to ask!

The staff is extremely knowledgeable about their products as well; they were able to recommend a brand of food for my dog who has a lot of skin problems. She's doing much better now on the new food. If you want to feed your pets high end, good quality food don't waste your money on the stuff they sell at petsmart and the grocery store. Oh and they have a rewards program. Your tenth visit you get I think 10% off. Which makes it worth it to stock up on extras on that trip. They sell rawhide free bones that my dogs love, so we usually get a couple of those.

They also didn't have some basic home utensils. I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe the holidays and supply side issues. Glad it is here for groceries, and almost everything under the sun. That's where it does shine, and the pricing is very competitive. Employees were friendly. Less self checkouts here, which is my opinion helps. The store itself is well organized. I like the cleanliness. That alone plus savings, makes it a winner in quite a few categories.
