Grand made it VERY easy for us to not only show proof they were still in "like new" condition but return to the store. We ordered a new item and they will deliver AND pickup the recliners at no charge! Now that's awesome customer service! I highly recommend Gie Garabillo at the Harrisonburg VA location. And the amounts of $500, $1000 and $2000 in an eye catching orange color. Once in the store you find out the definition of what comparable value price means. It's basically only the items not on sale. So naturally they place the big ticket items on sale with discounted prices so they don't qualify as comparable value price. Only smaller items like lamps and end tables were involved. If you want to read the small print look at the lower left corner and get some reading glasses. I couldn't read them without mine! As you can see below they posted a canned reply. It was the manager who told me to contact corporate. Classic case of passing the buck.

I am VERY dissatisfied I made a very sizable purchase from…read morethem in early 2022. I was told that I'd have to wait 6 months for all the pieces to come in, and the final payment would be due upon delivery of the last item. I put 30% down at the time of order. Several pieces came in randomly, and they delivered them after I gave an additional 30% payment. My loveseat arrived damaged and a new part has to be ordered. It took probably two months or maybe longer for the repair piece to come in. When they delivered my final part, I paid the final amount by check. That's where it gets horrible. They lost my check and tried to call several times because they hadn't received payment, but they never left a message stating why they were calling. I then received a letter stating I owed the final payment. I wrote back and told them I paid it and they would not have left the furniture without final payment. After about 4 weeks, I received a registered letter stating that they would report me to the credit reporting as not paying and that I was causing a "distraction" in an attempt to avoid final payment. They are lucky I didn't drive up there as I was very upset about that comment. I did check my bank account, and the check I wrote them never cleared the bank, so they lost it!!! I demanded an apology in my letter for the degrading comment that the president of the company wrote. We'll, he did call and apologize. I sent another check, and this one has cleared the bank. My advice is to go anywhere else to purchase furniture. These people are rude, inefficient, poor communicators, and, in my opinion, the quality of their products is no better than what you can purchase at Big Lotts!!! I'll NEVER step foot into this store again!

The lady said Ashley only calls you once and often leaves no messages at all. I paid full price for delivery. If your phone happens to have no signal or you are at work, it's your own fault. My sofa was very dirty so I guess I will never buy a cotton/cloth product from them. I didn't ask for change because I don't want to wait for another 5 weeks and if the delivery men caused the issue because my sofa had no cover, I couldn't blame them. I blame the delivery system! All sofas should be the same. All I mean is that although store and delivery people are really nice to you, if Ashley system treats you shitty, the nice words and smiles are wasted.

A few days later, I again received a message to accept or decline and interview 2 to 3 hours advance notice. I called the store and the manager answered. I told her my name and I was told she didn't know me. I asked if they were ran locally, or on a cooperate level. She said she found my call disturbing and was going to hang up on me. They are so well made, they are heirlooms. I have had antiques and Italian furniture from big name stores and none compare in value and strength and beauty to my Suter's. This is traditional furniture made by superior craftsmen and sold by people who know what they are doing. May be expensive, but not incredibly so. You are buying your own history.
