1:30 PM on a Sunday in mid August Heard this store location was newly stocked with casual fall clothing for women. So today, my focus was ladies clothing not homegoods, pet supplies, and snacks such as Dubai Chocolate. I found some good buys in the neatly organized racks. For, example, Sketchers Sneakers, "Lululicious" brand flared yoga style pants ($12.99 and $16.99) at great prices and in a few colors. Bought a burgundy zip jacket to coordinate with the yoga pants. Also bought a practical dress up or down beige open front sweater for only $19.99. Clearance items were picked over, but the new fall stock consisted of quality casual items perfect for my retired lifestyle. Biggest benefit of retail in store shopping: Being able to try on clothing! Can not beat the prices the TJX group of stores offers through knowledgeable buyers with good contacts. The dressing room was neat. The clothing racks were organized and well labeled. Even the clearance racks were tidy. Check out was speedy with six registers in operation. Parking lot was just resurfaced and marked well. Did not check out the restroom. read more

Not the best selection compared to other Marshall's but maybe I just caught it on an off day. Still, I scored a nice tee shirt featuring Picasso designs for a mere $4, a trendy Après Ski sweatshirt ($20) and Levi's trucker hat ($10) here. Typical mix of the good stuff with the cheap stuff. Line was not bad. Easy lot parking outside. In the same complex as other businesses including a liquor store and a grocery store. I'll check back. read more

The bathrooms are nasty they do not keep them clean l had seen better bathrooms then the one in Latham

This is the Marshalls that I compare all other Stores in this chain to! I shopped here for years until I moved out of NY a few years ago. I stopped in here briefly on a trip home to NY. Compared to some of the Marshalls I have been to in California and Florida, this one is very clean and organized. The store is moderate size for a Marshalls, but not too small. There are always deals if you browse and are flexible with what you are looking for. The pet section had some good deals, I picked up a nice quality dog bowl for $3 on clearance. It's been through the dishwasher 6-7 times now and no complaints. This store has a decent cell phone accessory section, I was specifically looking for a 9-10 foot cell phone charging cord for my iPhone and I picked one up for under $14. The shoe department here is quite great and very large. I love taking a quick spin through here and checking for any great deals. You do need to know your prices to see if you are actually getting a deal or not. This store is located in a plaza with Hobby Lobby, a flagship Price Chopper, AC Moore (craft store) and a few other shops. There is ample parking. read more

Wouldn't even give this place a ones star, total dive hole! Bought flannel sheets there a month ago, balls of material all over them after use, tried returning them & the supervisor said, " if we return them the consumer will be out the money! Wrong answer you should satisfy your customer! I spent $35 on these sheets, now it's my loss! what a shitty thing to say to a customer, no apologies nothing just straight up rude! I love me some deep discounts. Really, who doesn't want to pay less for nice stuff? Sure, Marshalls is packed to the gills with customers and it requires a lot of patience and stamina to sift through rack after rack of tackiness to find the gems, but it's totally worth it. On my last visit, I got several clothing items - including a skirt, some shirts, a purse, and a cute pair of Anne Klein shoes - and altogether it averaged less than $20 apiece. Score!! The shoes and clothing are my favorite parts of this store, although they have a significant amount of stuff for the home as well, including bedding, kitchen and bath accessories, wall art, mirrors, some small pieces of furniture, etc. I've found only a few downsides at this particular Marshalls location. The dressing rooms aren't the cleanest and could really use a good scrub down. Also, their stock of pants and skirts is often very, very slim on the smaller sizes (2-6). Perhaps I need to find out when their shipments come in so I can hit them up before everyone else has gotten their mitts on my stuff. read more

DIRTY and CLUTTERED! The staff at this location, are rude. This place is filled with clothes falling off the rack. Toys/ baby items, you have to dig through just to see what they have. Children running around with no parent in sight. 50-60 year old women with carts over flowing with over priced clothes and are extremely unaware of how to use a check out line! Whoever thought to put that God forsaken Market bistro next to Marshalls is a complete idiot. This Marshalls is not worth the drive,gas money, or the energy it takes to walk from the parking lot to the entrance. First of all, it was a hot bright day. The parking lot was full of trash(mostly from the Market Bistro) but you have your typical "characters" there...YOU KNOW THE TYPE! There was literally no parking, and the parking itself was a mess. Some Deebo looking older "female" came out the car to call to my attention that our car was parked in the road, as oppossed to being in between lanes. Weird. We come from a family of professional drivers, but I wasn't going to pay her any mind. But I took it and paid her dust. She looks the type to have the police on call with a fake complaint. This is what I mean by "characters". There is something wrong with people in Latham! I already hate coming to Latham. I have been to places like Saratoga Springs, the people are LOVELY! But there is something WRONG with Latham people! please keep that in mind as you come here. It definetly attracts a "crowd"/ type. The older, ignorant, women that are the types that you see on Youtube acting a plum fool. It's definetley something you need to witness. Anywho, this Marshalls is the reason why people don't stray from the regular. Hands down, the Marshalls on Central Avenue is THE BEST! The place here looked like a pig pen! it was larger than the Marshalls on Central, but its just wasted space. They dont utilize the space. The other commentators on here are 100% correct about annoying employees. I'm not speaking about the ones on the registers. But the ones going back and forth with a clipboard and a piece of paper. They literally have nothing to do. The most Ive seen this guy do is turn off the alarm a toddler set off near the bathroom!!! This guy would just eye people as he walks with another manager. Ive worked in retail, so I know what people are usually in management positions. There is definetly a diference in quality between the 2 Marshalls. The Marshalls in Latham is subpar. I didnt feel like I was getting a deal on anything. In the other Marshalls, I found a $2 makeup brush that retails for $40. None of that here, and the place was full! so it's not like I came on a bad day or people took all the stuff. Their items are nothing to write home about. I think I only got 3 body washes. I wasn't too thrilled about anything. The clothes were dated and tacky. The shoes were a RIP OFF! I was wearing some Pumas I bought from Kohls on black Friday for waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less than what I saw them for here!!! they literally only took $20 dollars off of shoes that retail $90+..and call that a "bargain". Ummm, I bought the same shoes from Kohls! for way less! actually they are cheaper online! I didnt even bother going through the pet section or any section that smells like old vintage musty antiques...which was basically their entire "home section", Overall, NOT WORTH IT! I will stay myself in the OTHER Marshalls. You can keep this subpar Marshalls with the dirty parking lot and middle aged psychotic women. This is no disrespect for ANY age. About 3 weeks ago I went shopping at the Marshalls location in Latham, NY. Upon check out the cashier advised me of the TJMaxx mastercard. I advised her that I already had a store card and I didn't need another credit card. The cashier advised me that it wasn't another credit card. That it would be an upgrade to the store card I already had. I wanted to make sure that there wasn't a misunderstanding. I asked the cashier this wouldn't open a new credit card? She advised me that it would merge my current store only card into a mastercard. I asked once more time just to make sure I was understanding correctly and again she assured me it was just an upgrade, not a new card. I went ahead and signed up for it and just recently I received my new card in the mail. I signed in so I could pay my bill and what do I find? I find my account assigned with 2 credit cards! I called the credit card's customer service number and the agent on the phone confirmed that it was in fact 2 credit cards. The agent on the phone advised me that it wasn't an upgrade, this was an entirely new credit card I signed up for. Now I used to work at TJ Maxx and other merchandise stores so I know that the associates have to get so many signs up each day to meet numbers, etc. I already called the store and spoke to one of the supervisors and they said they would "speak to the associate". I don't believe that was done because of the way the supervisor spoke to me. She made comments like "well obviously you have to close the other card" and "I think you misunderstood the cashier". It wasn't until I told her that I specifically asked the cashier the above questions and then she became silent. I received an apology but I don't think anything will be done and I think it was an empty apology. My credit is now being affected by this cashier's lie or incompetence of how credit cards work. What about others who think this is just a mere upgrade and then find out their credit was ran because it's in fact another card? That reflects negatively if you get denied a credit card. I'm going to be avoiding this location for awhile. I'm highly disappointed in this location. read more

One of the cleanest stores I have been to. Can in to help someone shop for an interview, got 2 Kenneth Cole slacks, and 3 dress shirts, (Nicole Miller, Vanhuesen, and Calvin Klein) all for $120, the pants alone retailed for over the entire total. Absolutely awesome! read more

Needs cleaning, and staff replaced. Floor was dirty, and merchandise falling off hangers. Don't try to ask staff for anything, you'll be treated like you are a bother from them discussing the issues in their lives. Worth the drive to go to a different store. read more

Yaay! Great bargains! Recommend for shoes they have some high end stuff. The clothing is fun and stylish but best for cool casual separates. Don't go there for suiting or high quality professional wear. But hey who needs that all the time? read more

My girlfriend who is has modern style and stands about 5'1 was followed around by loss prevention at this location. Never a fan of playing any cards, but this was highly unsettling and we're from the south! Will try other locations. read more
