It was 3:30pm on Christmas eve, and I still had my goddaughter on my list. She is 1.9 years old and just the cutest thing you've ever seen. I'd never been to Lollipops even though I pass by it all the time because it's next to Starbucks in Newton Plaza. It's got everything for a person under 5. Games, toys, clothes and whatever else those micro humans need. I got the feeling that the items for sale were hand picked and of a nice quality. Not that garbage you can find at Target made in China. It seems like everything is made in china these days. Sure, they cost us less but let's face it, the pollution made in China to make our cheap crap is our problem too. Every item you buy is a vote to keep it on the shelves of a store. Economic democracy works by us selecting what we want. I say lets vote for things made in the US. We can trust them, they keep our neighbors working and they don't need to be shipped 8000 miles. I ended up with an American made puppet from a company called Mellisa and Doug for $20. has a nice wooden handle and made my cute little goddaughter squeal with delight when I pretended I was a pirate. When I checked out the girl working there wrapped by gift for free. What put Lollipops over the edge to 5 star land was she also wrapped the gift I bought at a different store for me. When I tried to tip her for the extra work, she refused to accept it. She worked there for 16 years and knew her stuff. Excellent wrapper, good with suggesting toys and very friendly. They were incredibly rude when I walked in with my sister and son. I had a new niece born yesterday and had never been into the shop. I'd walked by a few times but today I decided to go in. Instead of asking what we were looking for the lady hiding behind the counter shouted to make sure my son didn't "spill his milk or juice or whatever it was" (it was water btw) and then the other lady asked what we were looking for and proceeded to tell us that anything with a round sticker was 30% off. No greeting. No nothing. After they uncomfortably kept staring at us we just left. Cute clothes. Pricey. You can get just as cute of clothing at many other stores like Macy's for a better deal and less attitude. I do NOT recommend. They seem very judgmental and just all around rude. read more

Received 2 outfits as gifts for a baby shower and Christmas. Tried to exchange as the sizing would be off season for when my daughter would be in that size. Both had tags, 1 had receipt. Was told I couldn't exchange either. One of the outfits was even on the clearance rack so it would have been "even" and I was willing to pay the differnce it there was a difference because it was a bigger size. I'm just unhappy because I wouldn't have this problem at Macy's or other retailers. I don't live close to this place so to travel there was completely out of the way, especially to be turned away. I'm not wasting a trip there again. Hopefully I don't get anything else from the store. read more

Do not go to this store. I went in to buy three boys outfits for my grandsons for a wedding, but made it very clear to the sales clerk that I was buying them contingent on my daughter in law's approval. I even asked her if they were open late any night so that my DIL could stop by after work, but they close at 530. So, with the understanding that I could bring them back, I bought the three outfits, even buying two separate bow ties for one so that DIL could pick. The saleslady assured me that returning them would be no issue. In addition, she assured me that the two outfits labeled 18 months and 24 months would fit an American 2t. Based on that I bought all three. Well, the two Euro's didn't fit and the bride didn't like the third outfit. When my husband took them back, he was told that only store credit would be given. I went in to discuss this with the owner who refused to budge, even given my relating my conversation about how clear I had been that I might be taking them back and they were only going out on approval. She took my phone number but never called me. I have spent hundreds of dollars there, and now I have a due bill for hundreds more, which I am loathe to use given the fact that I believe I was lied to. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. read more

This was the worst place I have ever been too!!! I stopped in to lollipops an hour before I was finding out the sex Of my baby, anyways I stopped there to see if they had any unisex clothing .I can't lie the clothes were sooooooo cute , but pricy . Anyways when I walked in I wasn't greeted and when I was asked if I do need any help, I kindly responded " no thanks , I'm just looking around. I had no clue u guys were here" ...... She responded by giving me a dirty look and saying " alright " and walked away. After I kindly asked how long have they been there , because I'm not from the area and have never heard of their shop before and the clerk told me ," ummm like 10 yrs ". She was sooooo rude and snooty and treated me like garbage , just because I didn't drive a fancy car and wasn't from rich loundville. she made me feel not accepted there and treated ne like I was dirt poor .when in all actually I do have money and I was gonna purchase something there , but she was sooo rude . I will never go back there again and I will tell everyone I know to NOT GO TO LOLLIPOPS!!!! read more

Although our family and friends are enamored with this store, we have the opposite opinion. We received several gifts from this shop, and we needed to return some items for another size. When we explained that we needed to return the items (with receipt in hand), the woman at the counter gave us a really hard time trying to convince us that we really did want to keep the clothes, until we made it clear that we would be exchanging the items instead of asking for store credit or money back. At that point we just wanted to get out of the store, but we found some items for exchange. When our balance ended up to be 4 dollars in our favor, instead of offering us that amount in cash, the woman said we'd have to pick out another item or get store credit. Because we live out of town, the store credit would be no good to us. We chose a pair of 10.00 socks, paid our 6 dollars and got out of there. read more

I received a gift for my baby shower from Lollipops that we didn't really need, so I took it back to exchange it for something for my daughter. The woman was extremely rude, she barely said anything to me and appeared to be very annoyed that I was making an exchange. The clothes are cute, but very pricey and I don't need to be treated that way when buying baby clothes. I think I'll stick with Carter's! read more
