Although their selection of shoes and plus size clothes is great, they lack the ability to keep the store (especially shoe department) in some type of order. I don't blame the staff but more so the customers who frequent that location. They leave messes wherever they like and don't put items back. I wish this Marshalls would have more staff on-site to help with this as it really deters people from coming. Some of the staff are pleasant while others aren't and also can everyone be notified that the customer bathroom is out of service. read more

I am clueless on where start... 1st I called Customer Service & it's closed until Tuesday, Dec 26- WTH Your Stores is OPEN taking People's Money but WHERE is the CUSTOMER SERVICE! 2nd I have witness the most interesting senerios at this location (a woman urinates inside of fitting room bc the restroom has NEVER BEEN IN SERVICE) & I did not let it discourage me from shopping here but THIS EXPERIENCE (my 1st) of PICKING UP LAYWAY - is WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER! Items in the pet section are piled up on the floor, bottom rack and stacked high all the way to the top rack. I couldn't even pull an item from any rack with out the entire pet section falling on my head, arms or feet. I then asked an employee for help.... and he never came back after he said brb. Lastly I was accused of messing up the pet section by an employee bc her shift manager asked why the pet section was messy. But everything keep falling like an avalanche, I was not helped what so ever when she clearly saw I needed help and no one ever came to help me. Please hire new staff and most importantly new managers...If the isles were kept cleaned it would help customers find items with out having stuff falling on top of them! read more

This place is a dump! I went two days in a row looking for some new bedding. Every thing was out of place and the floor was a mess. I had my Ipod in and an employee came down the aisle and I could hear her grumbling and complaining - so I could hear - about what the hell is going on, how can people be so messy, I don't have time pick up after people all day, etc etc etc. I took out my buds and asked if she was talking to me....but she continued...being ridiculous. I told her don't look at me, I didn't throw anything on the floor and I've worked in retail and know how it feels to constantly pick things up after you've just fixed them. She finally cooled down. Can we have a little professionalism here? I could not find anything I needed at this location. The staff could be a little more professional. Also, where are the mens wallets and small sizes? Horrible! I came here at 7:45 PM which is about roughly an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes before they close. I had come to pick up a layaway order, and was rudely told that I could not do so at 8 o'clock after already standing there for 15 minutes. The store was closing, but wasn't scheduled to close until 9:30 PM. I'm not sure why the store behaves the way that it does, but something is wrong with management and employees all around. Came here again ... Been standing on line since 1975...I've married, re-married, and have had four kids while standing in this line ... I still have yet to see the front of this line draw any closer TERRIBLE! read more

This place is complete and utter trash. Nothing short of a pigsty. There's everything, everywhere BUT where it needs to be. I was waiting for my boyfriend to run home after forgetting his phone and thought to pop into Marshall's. As soon as you walk in, women's is to your left. It's semi organized but definitely needs work. I found about 4 jumpsuits that I absolutely loved on this cluttered wall rack. Each time I tried to pull one out, it was a nightmare because the hangers were intertwined. Whatever. I grabbed all of them and headed for checkout. What a nightmare! I have never seen a queue this long in my life. There's 3 people behind the counter and 40 people on line. Some folks are waiting to checkout with the entire store in their carts. There's no express checkout. The employees behind the counter move at a beyond glacial pace. It's a mess. I waited for a bit and then got off the line. I'm sure I was on it for almost a half hour and had I waited, would have hit the 1 hour mark. I was headed out when the doors wouldn't open for me. The security guard told me I would need to use the back door to exit. This was the most unpleasant shopping experience ever. I've been to a lot of Marshall's and they're not all perfect hut this is by far the most neglected Marshall's I've ever been in. 1. There needs to be way more employees behind the counter. 2. A more organized and express checkout needs to be implemented. There's no reason a person with 3 items has to wait behind someone with 89 items in their cart. Add to that, the line is so long it literally wraps around the store. You're waiting online and people are bumping into you while browsing the racks. 4. There is stuff everywhere but where it belongs. Clothes are literally sweeping the floor. Someone needs to clean this place up. I suspect at closing time, the employees do not organize for the next day. Stuff is just piled on top of each other as if it's been growing over time. 5. If I walk in and decide I want to walk right back out for whatever reason, I shouldn't have to walk all the way to the back of the store to exit. Fix that. 6. Customers are not off the hook. Be neat and have some consideration. If you pick something up put it back where you found it. I will never come here again. You have to have the patience of a saint and even a saint would be rattled by this place! read more

Just horrendous, as soon as you walk through the entrance theres a foul stench like they laid the foundation of the place with dead bodies. The smell passes after a few feet in, so i took a walk around looking for a certain work pants and while im trying to go through the racks i have to stop and wait for employees to finish what there doing to continue. I mean they had no curtesy to let customers shop if there at a rack your not looking throigh it until there done organizing it. This location is great for Shoes and knick knacks. Like ALL Marshalls, its expected that things will be picked over and a little messy. This is a large store where people frequent all day in search of items. Jamaica's shoe dept unlike Elmont has sizes for days. I am always able to find designer brands at clearance prices. The clothing, not so much. I like to come here on weekdays around lunch hour. Its cleaner and lines are shorter. The cashiers are pleasant, but they need to consider placing more sales floor staff in aisles to tidy up. If you take notice, most Marshalls have more cashiers than sales floor staff and that is due to the growing check out lines. Holidays & Weekends= A Hell No. I scored some great Essie nail polish recently! Know your prices and you can score big. They also have a great selection of Kids shoes. Best Marshalls Shoe Dept! The most disorganized store in the chain. It's a wonder anyone can find anything. All the shoe boxes are missing box tops, all sizes are mixed up, swimwear mixed with active wear, employees look obviously disinterested, security looks obvious, but damn can you get a good deal!!!!!! read more

I've been to many Marshall's before and this isn't the worst. They actually have a pretty decent selection here. I see this place hasn't been reviewed in a while but you should really give this place a shot. For kids, they have name brands like polo Ralph Lauren, paper denim cloth, Nike, juicy, adidas, Kenneth Cole, nautica, lucky brand, cole haan, stride rite, converse, Calvin Klein, dkny, Levi's, seven for all mankind, puma and the list goes on. For women, they have all those brands I've listed above in addition a huge selection of shoes. Today they even had a few pairs of limited edition converse sneakers. Too cool but sadly they didn't have my size. :( Although they did have beautiful Kate Spade dress that more than made up for it. It's very unorganized in there and most of the time it's usually crowded but you if you're not in a total rush take some time and look through everything. You might find a gem or two. read more

This was the worst Marshalls I've been to in NY and I've been to both stores in Harlem and the one by BJs in the Bronx that are bad as well but weere better than this one. Store was a mess and a male cashier had a lil boy that he knew at the register in the way of customer while they had a conversation. I've been to a couple of Marshall's and by far this is the worst. The cashiers are rude, the place is messy and half the stuff are broken. It's a mess in there. I bought a blanket and went to exchange it and they said that the receipt has a different number on it. Apparently when I went to buy it the cashier scanned something else. Now I have to take the fault for what they did and I can't get my money back because of what they did. I told them to check the cameras they wouldn't. The supervisor is a real bitch. And when I went the other day I bought some stuff including a baby blanket I got home and the blanket wasn't in the bag and they charged me for it. I'm telling the people working at this Marshall's are very uncivilized and the customers take the fault for there wrong doings . ahh where to begin with this ghetto fabulous store. For being a nationwide department store, this has to be one of the worse locations in NYC. The shelves are always disorganized with stuff everywhere, nothing is in order and employees are in some sort of disappearing act. I'm actually giving it negative stars but that can't be done here so it's a one star. This is one of the worst stores, if the not the worst, I've been to in my life. Rude customer service and disgusting on the inside of the store. Like the sales people are literally standing around near the checkout aisles and talking while customers sweat on line (yes sweat) and the store lies in mess. I just wanted to give a shoutout to the dusty steve urkel looking employee in the shoes department name Brandon; I called and spoke with him before arriving and i was under the impression that they had two pairs of these really rare sneakers (idk how they even made it to marshals inventory in the first place) and would be able to put both sizes in stock on hold for me. Once i got to the location i spoke with this little weirdo (brandon) and was told "he couldn't find them anymore" and "someone brought them within the 8-10 min window" disregarding the fact he said, he would be able to hold them. Fist off let me start off by saying I absolutely LOVEEEEE marshalls but yesterday was mind blowing, I had to raise my voice at an employee because her stupid coworker left me waiting upstairs for 45 freaking minutes & when she came upstairs a of a sudden she couldn't find my layaway..... BULLSHIT! This is my first horrible experience with the store I love & it bothers so much because the young ppl that work there such as that girl are so unprofessional its ridiculous. What ever happened to work at a place you enjoy or at least act like it! They are making that store loose money. I called in today & the girl said she is looking for the missing lawaways!
