Weak store. Not a lot of selections and clearance section was seriously lacking. Didn't see many sunglasses or phone chargers for sale, which was what I had came for. The store was low on a lot of inventory other than clothes. There were a lot of clothes on the racks but didn't see the same for shoes, intimates, home stuff, candles, or beauty. I went here on a Saturday morning so it wasn't crowded. The location is great- it's in a shopping plaza with a lot of stores such as Market Basket, HomeGoods, Petco, etc. read more

Nice staff, nice store. I would buy everything here except shirts. Each time I have gotten a shirt from here it always seems to shrink down 2 sizes after just one wash, then I end up having to give them away because they don't fit me anymore. Pants and socks I will keep getting, but if I am going to get a shirt here again maybe I will have to get an XXL so that when it does shrink it won't look too small on me. I just wished that they had better quality shirts since I had to give quite a lot of them away. read more

Gloucester is known as the end of the line, and ever since the closing of Ames (sorely missed) there had been no department stores in the city. If you wanted a new shirt or a pair of socks then you had to drive to the mall. With the opening of Gloucester Crossing, this has changed for the better. Now, there is a Marshalls which isn't higher end (like a Macy's) or even like a Sears, but it is a great addition to the city shopping experience. Prices are good, selection is really good, and you can pick up an interesting assortment of collectibles, home goods, and chocolate truffles that you really don't need but want anyway. This is a typical Marshalls- you won't find it missing anything or offering anything truly unique. You kind of know what to expect when you go in. I really like the store. My one complaint is the surly woman who works the Fitting Room during the day. Wow- she's just not pleasant. And, she shoots you the worst look if you don't want one of the items you went in with. Other than that though, everyone has been pretty nice. Living in Gloucester, I am so happy with the addition of Marshalls. I hope more franchise stores move into the vacant buildings that populate Gloucester Crossing. read more

Everything I buy from here falls apart. Unless you buy the good stuff which is hard to come by, and it's not even at a competitive price point ... so why not shop online? Anyways.... my complaint here is not just for this marshals ... but for everyone of them. PLEASE STOP PUTTING THE STICKY STICKER PRICE TAG RIGHT ON THE FACE OF A MIRROR/PAINTING/COFFEE MUGS/GLASSWARE/TOYS/HOUSE DECORE... !! The employees are placing the price tags exactly where you don't want them, literally stuck on your item for you to scrape off for 20 mins... I am not joking when I say this bothers me, I wonder if it bothers you? Do the employees do this to toucher the customers? For example ... when I bought this decorative glass pumpkin ... it had one of those sticky sticker price tags ... that said "Marshalls $8.99" and took up 50% of the item (because it was a small pumpkin) and no it couldn't just be turned around .. the decorative part was covered by the sticker. Having only one clothing store in Gloucester, It kind of sucks because the quality at Marshalls is terrible. I have gotten jackets and shirts and pants and shoes and all of them have ripped or broken on me within one week. Its just terrible, especially spending all that money on them too. But yeah everytime I buy a piece of clothing there they always rip. Just a heads up to anyone. I recommend the mall..... read more
