Its huge with alot of selections for containers, from house or food containers to like different types of tools that you can use to organize things in the house. It was pretty quiet when we got there since it was later in the evening. Staff was pretty helpful to us when we were asking for some help looking where to go in order to find what we need. I went to The Container Store to pick up one small item, although I shop here all of the time. Upon entering, I noticed these wonderful bungee office chairs displayed. I had my eye on them for awhile, but kept holding off on purchasing one. However, they were on sale, marked down from $199. to $159. I loved the aqua, which would go with my decor, but didn't see any boxed ones, so I selected the gray. I asked the wonderful associate Claire, who was nearby, to help me put the box in the cart. At the same time, I inquired about getting an aqua one. She cheerfully stated that I could take the assembled one. All the better! Not only that, but she carried it to my car. Someone told me to try the Container Store. I was skeptical at first. Well, I have to say that was the best decision. First, Dawn and the other ladies at the store were incredible. They helped me through the process and when I had to change my design at the last minute, they didn't mind working with me to help find a solution. The Container Store has been my favorite store ever since I visited one in New Jersey over ten years ago. I get teased by family and friends because I get a little crazy every time I find a new fun item. I just had an elfa closet installed and I have a wall of shoe shelves! It's the greatest!! I had to return some items from the elfa installation and there was a glitch because I had used Samsung Pay for part of the order. Claire took the time to research what had happened and was very kind and helpful. She spoke with the accounting department several times and although the help they gave was limited, she picked up the slack and made sure the problem was remedied. She was understanding and proactive in getting things done. It was such a pleasure to work with her and because of Claire, it's wiped away any negative feelings I had about the original issue. If everyone working in the customer service industry were as professional as Claire is, you would never hear the horror stories that seem to be prevalent today! Every time I go to this store the service blows me away. Every single person that I've ever spoke to or asked a question to is so on top of it, gets customer service, is super real, gives a shit, super authentic ... they get it done. This store makes me want to go back. Like... I have fun there while I'm getting my shit done. Then, when I compliment them they talk about how excellent the company treats them and how the love their job. Upper level management, you are doing it right. The container store, Starbucks, Wholefoods and REI are my three favorite big box stores to shop at. They get cerebral customer service and all w/a great attitude. read more

So, get this: there is an entire store dedicated to selling things in which you put other things. Amazing, really. It's like an organizational orgasm for my anal retentiveness. The selection is great and the prices are decent. Now if only they could organize the herds of consumer cattle that just mill about the store, marveling that such things like wicker baskets exist in our world, it'd be perfect. This is a great place to go if you're really overwhelmed with clutter and need some ideas or want a closet organization system. The downside to any Container Store is that the prices are really high- even when they have sales and even when you're just buying a basic plastic basket. If you are looking for baskets to make clutter prettier I suggest going to Michael's Craft Stores- they have lots of options and if you keep an eye out for sales you can get some really great prices. For specific organizing needs like drawer separators I suggest buying through amazon.com. Ikea is another option, but because of the likelihood of impulse buying, hassle of travel, and long lines you may want to steer clear. read more

This was my first time here and already I wanted everything! I was so impressed with everything they have GREAT Quality sturdy. I will come back for stuff to organize my kitchen drawers this way I can throw away a lot things I don't use and just never worked for me. I have purchased some kitchen drawer liners that smell amazing herb and cucumber I am also coming back to get stuff to arrange my food pantry and Mudd Room with hooks and a pillowed bench with slides underneath for hats and the rest of winter crap. I went in yesterday to get some little jars and containers to finish up the packaging for my little food presents - and they didn't disappoint. Overall good selection but it's pricey. I showed up for a second time at 7pm on Labor Day. They closed earlier than their regular Sunday hours. There were still people shopping inside but I couldn't enter to buy a simple item. They've lost my business based mainly on their hours and somewhat on prices. As a wheelchair user, the store was very accessible, wide isles, accessible bathrooms, plenty of accessible parking and accessible checkout counters. They have cool household stuff if you have dexterity issues and great closet systems and accessories to customize a closet that is totally accessible for your needs. I have purchased 2 Really Useful large vinyl record storage boxes.The Container Store sent them in two shipments, I received the first box fine, then I didn't receive the second because it had multiple shipping labels on the box, it made it as far as Hagerstwon,MD and that is where it still is. I paid for this box, problem being I can never get to speak with anyone from the store, I have called many times and when you try to leave a message you are disconnected.I have gone through this so much in the last two months.They took my money on April 30th 2020. I would love to get the second box.I also have sent many e-mail to them and received no reply. Please either straighten this out and get the box to me,or refund my money,. Not a great way to run a business.Fed-Ex can't do much except to file a complaint on my behalf,if they do the Container Store would receive my refund.Fat chance that I would ever get it.Very disappointed in the customer service. read more

Oh to be organized! That's kind of my dream. I'm always thinking of ways to reduce the clutter, make the closet spiffier, not have piles of books (oops) but let's be honest- that's pretty hard to do when you're not a super neat person to begin with. Enter the Container Store! I've been waiting for months for the place to open. I'm super excited that I get one so close to home. I've been to the one closer to Boston and it was impressive. I finally got a chance to go and was in container heaven. Everything and anything for your organizational needs can be found in the aisles of this store. I was good and browsed, took a catalog and decided over night what I need to purchase. I'm not sure it's the best place for impulse buys (at least for someone like me!); I mean sure that new rack looks good and some stuff could fit there but then you get home and there's no where for it and nothing fits on it and you just feel organizational remorse. Not a nice feeling... But, I digress. Go! Check it out. Marvel at the shelves and the Ninja USB ports. As a former employee of the Container Store in Chicago, I was shocked when I was shopping at this location. Seven team members ignored me while I was in the store for about 20 minutes. I spent $70.66 purchasing some moving supplies. The associate at the register only rung up my merchandise and proceeded to tell me my total with no emotion. I told her that I was shocked that no associate acknowledged my existence in the store. She commented that their systems were down. What does that have to do with employees ignoring their customers? This is a far cry from the seven foundation principles we embraced at the Chicago South Loop location. On the upside, management called me from the store to thank me for the feedback and apologized for the experience. The location also had everything I was looking for. read more
