I really like this store! I stop anytime we go through Manchester. The inventory changes…read moreconstantly. They have clothing, home decor, dishes, furniture, etc. The prices are excellent (Hermes tie for $20, Brooks Brothers shirts for under $20). I was amazed at the quality of the clothing and furniture items. I recommend browsing through to see if you can find any hidden gems. Happy hunting!

A group of friends and I stopped here recently while visiting and walking around…read moreManchester-by-the-Sea. There were a lot of charming and beautiful items, but the customer service was abysmal. We went in 15 minutes before closing time, and immediately upon walking in, the woman behind the counter gave us a dirty look and reminded us, curtly and a little too loudly, of that fact. OK, fine -- we figured we would browse quickly and be on our merry way. We moved down to the lower level of the shop to browse. While we were browsing, another woman who worked there came in to the upper level and asked the first woman (still behind the register) if anyone else was there. The first woman said -- loudly enough for us, her potential paying customers, to hear -- that she had told us they were closing, but we wouldn't leave. Despite this woman doing her best to prevent a sale, one of my friends did end up buying a set of julep glasses for $100. You'd think that would alleviate some of this woman's pique. Yet as soon as the last of us had cleared the door of the shop, she audibly slammed and locked it behind us. I guess courtesy and grace cost more than $100 here. Spend your money elsewhere.

This is a fantastic vintage store which has a combination of antique/vintage furniture, knick…read moreknacks, etc. along with new home decor, hats and all kinds of goodies. This is one of those stores that looks small but that you could spend longer than you thought browsing in. Unlike many vintage shops with mildew and funky smelling items, everything here is pristine and clean. You never know what you'll find ... home decor, furniture, jewelry, wall art. The staff is SO helpful here ... as near as I can tell its an all-female owned collective. There are a few different sellers who have space here, so its a varied theme. The owner was absolutely super helpful in answering questions and facilitating a sale. She even helped us park and load a small piece of furniture into our car. I really can't say enough great things about the owner's helpfulness and the friendliness of her staff. We make it a point to stop here each time we pass through or by Newburyport and each time we come across something new and fun. There are a few similar shops in town but we find the selection and prices are the best here. Newburyport itself is such a fun little town to walk around. It feels like a little town in England. They even have a small store which sells English goods across the street from Green Plum. (see my review of that shop.) The only thing I'll say is that it would be nice if there was some hand sanitizer at the door when you walk in. And because there are a lot of cool things to look at in a long, narrow shop, it can get a bit crowded near the cash register area from a social distancing aspect.

Very cute and quaint shop. The employee working when I went was very kind to me and my friends and…read morethe prices were fair!
