An antique store that dreams are made of! I quite literally stumbled onto Marblehead Antiques while nearby and it was a delightful find. Marblehead Antiques is so much bigger than it looks and encompasses two giant rooms which are separated by an entryway. I love to seek out antique shops and sometimes they are a big hit-or-miss. This one is a giant HIT! The owner is very interesting and has a story for almost everything. The items are a mix of high-end and low-end with treasures from around the world. This is the type of place where you should really plan to stay a while, carefully sift through all the items and find some special items. If I were local to this area, I could easily purchase so many home decor items in the nautical theme, or good-bones-furniture in need of a little tender loving care. Purchasing an item from this beautiful shop means you're inherently purchasing something with colorful history, and that's a real treat for any novice or advanced antique hunter. read more

I stopped in here on a weekend I was visiting Marblehead and was really underwhelmed. A lot of the items they had were just (to put it nicely) not my taste. I was in and out in 5 minutes. My airbnb host said this place sometimes gets good things, it's hit or miss. So check it out, you might find something. But I feel like Cambridge thrift stores are actually better. read more

Marblehead Antiques has been in business for longer than most antiques stores in the area. Both mother & daughter live their very lives for their wonderfully filled antique & vintage collectible store. Always more than fair in negotiating prices, they call you when they find what you are looking for. Kind & polite with very good business sense the owner never skips a beat. I found this place very friendly and reasonably priced for what inventory they had when I was there twice recently. Easily found parking and wandered all over Marblehead visiting different shops. Definitely will go back to this shop! NOTE: friendliness from staff in all retail is essential. I'm out to spend my $$$ and expect to be treated nicely. She took furniture and accessories from my home and my mother's 3 years ago. I have been in multiple times. Each time she assures me that she's been busy and will get to it in the next few days. Still waiting. I would strongly advise anyone not to consign anything with her. Don't understand how she is still in business.
