I was told I was in customers' way in an empty store, I was questioned as to what I was looking at, and I was generally discouraged from continuing my shopping. I believe that, given the cost of antiques from the 19th century, looking twice or three times at an item before choosing to buy it is normal. I also believe that I am unlikely to buy anything like that from this particular shop. It is not a good environment from which to bring home meaningful, memorable additions to my living space.
