I think this Marshalls when it has all of the checkout stands open is way better than the Marshalls in Santa Barbara who only opens a few checkout stands most of the time. There is a great selection of discounted skincare and hair care items that you would see at Sephora or on Ipsy. I usually just look for hello kitty items or some of my favorite brands which I usually do not find lately because more and more people are shopping here.

This is our default local higher end discount store for things that are way overpriced at either other stores, or even on Amazon. For some reason, the Clearance section is quite variable. Sometimes you find quite a few treasures, like 1/2 priced Olive Oil infused with Truffle essence, or fragrant Shampoos/Conditioners at a discount. You really have to go by what you know is a good bargain [price per oz.], rather than what the so-called "original price" was. It is important to check the integrity of both clearance & non-clearance items before you buy. While they seemed to have a nice clearance cutting board, it was cracked lengthwise on the other side, which negates it for use as a cutting board. While most items are not as close to the expire date as in the Grocery Outlet, it is wise to double check, or avoid things that are questionable. As for the store itself, since it is a bit more of in a local non-touristed area, it feels more relaxed, and the employees are almost always friendly and pleasant. The store is well maintained, generally well organized, and far enough from the crazy busy Walmart anchor store in this plaza to avoid fighting for a spot. It seems that mostly locals shop here since it is miles away from the majority of the local motels/hotels. If you do want a good quick snack or other decent eats, you have a Blaze Pizza here, as well as, a Trader Joes in this complex. Even though they do have way for you to email yourself a receipt, they are cool about giving you store credit for a return or two. The only problem is that one can get snagged by all the goodies in a clearance section and save lots of money, as you pull out your CC to spend a hundred or two, on so-called bargains. Clearances at all these type of stores [and others] are best after major holidays. We snagged up to 90% off at our local Rite Aid & one Big Lots store. The only problem is where to store your treasure till the next holiday! Even though TJX, Marshalls, Home Goods have a common corp. owner each store varies in prices and selection. The two Ross's in our immediate area generally have far inferior items, but are good for lower priced holiday chocolates and candies.

My favorite local discount store. They always have really cute holiday items, and pretty good quality on almost everything. I like that dogs are allowed (as long as they are on a leash or in the shopping cart). The staff is always very friendly, and I appreciate that! FYI, they have a dog potty area on the side of the building with plenty of grass, and a waste bag dispenser. Thank you for that! I like going for the snacks, dog supplies, home decorations, and hot sauces. They also have really cute notebooks and planners for good prices.

This place is okay, defiantly not the clean quality Marshall's I'm used to. Whatever you do don't use the bathroom; literally urine and feces on the floor. This bathroom clearly isn't checked regularly and I'm not surprised as the rest of the store is pretty dirty.

    Dirt dust filth

Filthy dressing rooms ! The agent said they swept at 2 pm but the filth inside the dressing room had Handfuls of dust and the floor was so dirty I asked for something to stand on and the agent was rude!

The young man comes out from the back, with attitude hits the button and says, "yeah?" I say I want to trade in my old game and put it towards the new one. "You have to do that up front." He turns and walks away. Then I proceeded to walk up front, and tell the older, blonde woman, behind the returns/exchange and she looks at me, with attitude, "I've never heard of this, I've been here 14 years and I've never done this or saw this!" Almost Aggressively says I can't return it because it's open. I go well, I want to trade it in towards the new one, I've done this for years." She calls two managers and they look at me like and say dismissively, "I've never heard of this." Tell them to look online even if you would like on YouTube and I showed them online that target talks about trade-ins. they then tell me I've never heard of this. They look it up and then tell me I would have to do it through the mail and online. at this point I feel as if they're accusing me of doing something or trying to pull something over them so I give up completely and just say all right I'll buy the game, just to end this weird interaction. *Overall, this target has horrendous customer service and shows why everything is going to online, AI, and robots!*

(1 star -- and that's generous)…read more Let me save you 30+ minutes of your life and the humiliation that follows. We spent a good half hour browsing this store. My little one chose a game, which was paid for at checkout so he could open and enjoy it while I continued shopping. Simple enough, right? Wrong. The game was broken. Straight out of the package. Not dropped, not mishandled -- broken on purchase. Here's where it gets truly unhinged. We returned to the register with the game and its broken pieces only to be informed that Daiso has a strict NO returns, NO exchanges, NO refunds policy -- and that this policy applies even to items that are defective or broken out of the box. I pointed out that when a customer makes a purchase, there is a reasonable and legally implied expectation that the product is whole and in working condition. This is not an opinion -- it's basic consumer law. While the checker agreed before the manager came to assist, the manager disagreed. Loudly. The manager eventually relented and agreed to issued a refund -- but not before the manager pulled what can only be described as a petty power move: she/he demanded I verbally agree to DAISO's terms and state aloud that I would NEVER request a return or refund again and asked whether I UNDERSTOOD! This happened in front of other customers in line at check out and directly behind us as a condition of receiving money back for THEIR defective product. I'm sorry -- what?? I put back every other item I had planned to purchase, walked out, and I'm now writing this review instead of spending more money there. Consumers, take note and pass this on: Daiso's policy essentially means you are buying everything AS-IS with zero recourse, including items that don't work the moment you open them. That is not a bargain -- that is a gamble. And when you lose, don't expect dignity on the way out. "Overpriced cheap junk" is being polite. Pair that with management that demeans customers at the price of a refund, and you have a store that deserves to lose every dollar it would have made from loyal shoppers. Shop here at your own risk. You've been warned.
