Great customer service! I totally forgot their names.. but this was 6/7/24 around 6/7ish in the evening. A girl with dark hair and a guy with a beard and glasses at the Pismo store. They were awesome! Super patient as I was doing 2 transactions, and had forgot to activate my credit card before I was checking out (oops). Thanks so much for being patient with me. I love that they are committing to the mask and the pandemic. What I don't love is the worker at cash register stopping what she's doing to come up to me aggressively to tell me my nose needs to be cover the entire time I'm in the store, AS ITS COVERING MY NOSE. I don't know if she saw it accidentally slip or what but aggression was unnecessary. I was wearing my mask and had no issues in the 5-6 other stores I went in. So to the girl with long dark hair, I hope you learn how to talk to humans with respect regardless of theyre face mask accidentally slipping. We're all in this pandemic together. read more

This store is located in the Outlets on 5 Cities Drive in Pismo. It is easy to get to as it is right off the 101 freeway. There is plenty of parking. The store is average in size and they seem to have a variety of clothing, accessories, fun items. The staff are friendly and helpful, even when they are busy. If you get your hot topics coupons, you can really save money. I will be back for sure. read more

This store is a little on the small side BUT the staff here is always super friendly and helpful. I love the selection of items at this store and the variety. So many collectibles and other cool goodies. You can most definitely find a gift that is suited for almost any person you are shopping for from Disney to punk they have it all. read more

This Hot Topic was THE Hot Topic. Totally reminded me of the HT I used to go to as a teenager. Playing Pantera, Whitesnake, BFMV, all the good music. None of that crap they play now days. They had a sale going on, I found some good deals. Lots of good stuff. Lots of music items, metal bands. That's what I like. I got rang up but this girl, she was very pushy. She told me that clearance was buy 1 get one free, but I didn't find anything else I wanted. But she pushed me to go find something. After I found something, she told me the regular priced items where buy 2 get the third free. I didn't want to purchase anything else, which I had told her MULTIPLE times. I gave her a coupon that I had to use with my purchase, she told me "you might save more money with the sales so we'll hold off on the coupon". Well, the hell does that matter. Use my damn coupon so I save more money. Then she continue pushing me to buy more items so I get "coupons" for the future. I had told her SEVERAL times I did not want to BUY anything else. She pushed me for a Hot Topic credit card, I declined. She was so pushy and I didn't enjoy that. If someone tells you "No, I don't want to get anything else" 5 times, you should probably stop pushing them. I really did enjoy the Hot Topic at this location and I'd like to continue to go but I sure as hell don't want her to be my cashier. read more

My son and I love this little shop. The staff actually will help u find stuff when you need their help. Plus if you don't find it they help u find items that might work in its place . Plus most stuff is pretty affordable and the store is kept pretty clean . There is not items just thrown on the floor. read more

Only giving two stars because they had the product I was looking for and the second associate that rang me up was rather nice. Other than that, Elle who is apparently a manger, really needs to take a customer service training course and work on her approach/customer service skills. We all have bad days and as someone who works in customer service I understand that but when you are not busy and you act like I am bothering you when I ask a simple question, that is a problem that makes me not want to return and instead drive the hour and a half down to the Ventura mall just to avoid this establishment and lack of customer service. read more

A friend and I were on vacation and we went to the one in Pismo, and right away we were excited that this one in particular was large. Not five minutes later, a female employee started asking me if I would like this item, if I had that item, and so on. I kept trying to turn her down so I could shop in peace, but she wouldn't let me go and wouldn't take 'No' for an answer. At one point she got up in my face, grabbed my arm with her nails, and said, "GIRL. C'MON. GIRL. BUY THE SOCKS." I was trying to be nice and get away. She still followed me and my friend throughout the store. While my friend bought something, I just left the store and waited outside to simmer down. I don't remember her name, but she was short and very loud. This store was nice and large, but the experience was upsetting. She's lucky I didn't call her supervisor on her. I wish I had. read more

I absolutely love this hot topic, it's always kept clean on the inside, the people are always kind and helpful. it being in the outlets id expect it to be a bit messy, cause so many people go In and out. but it's always in perfect condition. they ALWAYS have great deals, especially on Black Fridays. I got at least $80 worth of gadgets for $20. if you're in pismo I'd definitely hit this place up read more

This actually breaks my heart typing this because i love this hot topic and ive always had great experiences there and i never just buy one thing i always go broke after i leave. Anyways, my friend and i were just in the area and was passing through and we wanted to browse around. We were in the store no more than two minutes and an associate who im guessing is new because ive never seen her there before, went up to ask and asked us " Are you guys going to buy anything?" with a nasty attitude. I understand that they have problems with shop lifters, i get it, but i felt like she handled it the wrong way. We told her we were just browsing around but would probably end up buying something and even told her i have a credit card with them because i shop there frequently. She walked away but then came back watching over us and made us feel really uncomfortable. Then another associate who i have seen before but only a few times asked us if we needed help which even bothered me even more because I know she saw the first associate help us and we were the only ones in the store. Ive worked in retail and i know its a customer service tacit that most people use when they feel that theres people shop lifting. We tried looking around for a few more minutes but ended up just buying the shirts we saw when we first walked in and left. The second associate wasnt so bad, she just seemed like she was tired, but the first one i feel like she needs to go over customer training again if she hasnt. I felt like she could have approached us in a more professional manner. I will still continue to shop here but I hope i dont experience this hostility again. Its one of the few stores i shop at and I usually have a great experience coming in. read more
