This is truly 5-star service. We had an issue where the pilot on our hot water tank went out and would not ignite. Revelation assured me they could check out my situation within 12 hours, and they provide these really nice text messages to give you precise updates on ETA, allowing the customer to plan their day accordingly. When Mike from Revelation showed up, he spent a little bit of time checking out the issue, and then correctly diagnosed it as an assembly failure. At this point, he laid out my options: replace the part, replace the tank, upgrade the tank (go bigger or go tankless). Mike gave me all the time in the world to sort out what I wanted to do, even allowing me to do some researching on the internet. When I had some questions, he gave me very honest, objective, fact-based responses, and he didn't try to sway my decision one way or the other. I really appreciate how he allowed me to perform due diligence and take my time. Considering that we'll be in the home for a while, I decided to take the plunge into tankless (on account of a recommendation from a friend who did the same thing), and the Revelation crew was able to show up the very next morning. What I appreciate most about the crew was not only their timeliness, but their attention to detail, their conscientiousness, and their workmanship. Luke spent a fair amount of time scouting the area and carefully planning how he wanted to execute this project. He even made some recommendations to me that I hadn't considered while checking in on my own preferences as well. It was almost as if the team had been working in their own house. Once they got started, they took every step very carefully, making sure that they did it right rather than simply got it done and rushed it. The end result was fantastic, and I have zero regrets going tankless. In fact, the first thing I did today was run the dishwasher and the shower at the same time with zero problems. A lot of places try to use high pressure sales or opt for quick-fix solutions that are budget-friendly but ineffective in the long run. There's also a very real communication problem with many businesses, failing to be timely or transparent. Some even have this "your job is too small for me" attitude. I didn't get this vibe from working with Revelation at all. They're one of those companies that have a way of making you feel like you're their only client. I consider Revelation to be part of my go-to "A Team," and given the quality of their work, how they source only the best brands and parts, and how they communicate every step of the way, it's a no brainer to use them for all of my plumbing needs moving forward. They also offered to replace our "stack pipe" - drain pipe from upstairs fixtures - for $14K! Why? Because of a leak at the bottom of the stack in the basement. They treat Saturdays like any other day of the week and do not charge for a service visit unless you refuse to go with their repair estimate in which case that would be $35.00 charge. We made an apt and I noticed on their website they had coupons which had expired. Upon callback I learned they would honor them anyway. Two problems with the website. The Pittsburgh number listed on it is disconnected and when you go to print the coupon you need it will only allow you to print just one of them. I ended up having to print the whole page as proof for my discount. I was also told on the phone that they don't take checks. Our assigned plumber Anthony came out within the time frame specified. He did not put on those "plumber's" paper shoe coverings to enter our house. I directed him to the toilet in question and in spite of the fact I had the whole insides redone within the past two years he felt it needed replaced. He gave us an option to pick out our own and they would install for $100.00 less the original estimate or he would get us a basic model. I chose the latter because I knew from my last plumbing disaster a little over a year ago from a competitor I sensed he was right. He required half down as a deposit and asked for a check. I reminded him that I was told on the phone they don't take checks. He called over and had that matter straightened out. He said he would go out and get us the same brand we had before. He said that I could pay the whole thing up front but gave me no paperwork nor did I know whether or not he would return so I paid half. I gave him the coupon page I had printed which he honored. They do take credit cards as well as debit cards. He returned within the hour and proceeded with the install. I could tell our fixture was old because of the hard time he had prying it loose from the base. Still as he was hauling out our old stuff he knocked off the top of my plastic outdoor stair lamp. He completed the install, cleaned up my bathroom floor but neglected to retrieve the items thrown in my bathtub let alone clean it up. He tested it a few times and there were no issues. He then requested the balance and I turn asked for a receipt and work order regarding the warranty. Labor is warranted for a month. The fixture is warranted according the the manufacturer. Since he never showed me the make I was smart enough to take a photo of the box it came in to get that information. What you save in transportation costs actually goes towards the labor which I feel like most plumbers gouge you when you are at their mercy. On a positive note however, he did purchase a toilet that was more water efficient than the one I had before and before he left I tried it out for myself and was pleased. As he was leaving he explained that whoever had worked on the inside of the unit prior did a shoddy job installing a new handle and chain thus causing the unit to not hold the reserve tank water properly when not in use. Although the company is based out of Irwin, PA they have branches all over the Pittsburgh, Greensburg, Belle Vernon, and Trafford areas. Time will tell if their services are worthwhile but for now we have a new working toilet in our main bathroom.

It was an emergency work as the house is in the process of getting sold by the end of June, but Geiger couldn't care less. Despite several calls starting from the middle of June, I could not get an appointment date. They told me very stubbornly that they would do the job whenever they can, and will not give me any date. Upon contacting the Insurance company and informing the situation, they authorized me to call another plumber and they came and did an excellent job in just 2 to 3 days notice. Geiger called me about 3 weeks later on Tuesday July 14, 2006 and informed that they would come and do the job next day. I told them it was too late and I didn't own the house anymore. I have never come across a business outfit like this. I hope nobody has to go through the pain and sufferings that I went through.

Also, Santino took the extra step to advise me my issue with the shower and hot water tank could be tied to high water pressure at the house as he had addressed a similar issue in a house close to mine earlier that day. He did the water pressure test with me present and explained the high pressure was the root cause of the issue and all was needed to fix the shower and more importantly the high water pressure to ensure I have no other related plumbing issues. They did offer to come back to take care of the hot water tank, but I already had another handyman scheduled to come out to replace that. 3 weeks later and no further plumbing issues and shower has been fine since their repairs.
