We came here for a short family vacation to go to Busch Gardens. The condo was super clean. Our toilet did break the first night and they were able to send someone up the next day in the morning. We waited to leave for the day for them to come which was a little inconvenient but appreciated them coming to help us so it didn't put too much of a damper in our day. The technician also changed the battery in our door lock which was nice of him as he noticed it was low. Our kids also enjoyed the 24 hour game room there and I also liked that they had a small gym. They have a small kid friendly water park with a slide which could use some updating. They offer free towels there and also had a small playground behind it. They also offer free laundry service but there is a washer and dryer in the condo as well which was nice. The amount of space to put all your clothes is also insane- so much storage!! Our family had a great time here and would recommend to other families. I will say that the walls are a little thin as another reviewer did mention and they did try to sell us time share but we just went about our day. I also liked how they offered luggage carts around the property and had plenty of parking.

We arrived within the hour of the four o'clock check-in. I appreciate the pleasant friendliness of the staff and overall positive vibes given. Everyone was friendly and check-in was fast and efficient. Our room was located in the 300 building and not on the ground floor as I requested. My first impression of the room was very positive. It was very clean, modern, and had all the amenities that we would need. The kitchen had pots, pans, plates, utensils, knives, and all the basics. The refrigerator was clean and empty. Bonus for leaving sample sizes of dish soap, dishwashing machine pods, and laundry detergent. The living room had a pull-out sofa. My kids said it wasn't the most comfortable but they are kids and they will survive. The master bedroom had a king-size bed. I found it comfortable but my husband said it wasn't. The bathroom was large, with a double sink. I was happy with the shower but my only complaint about the room was lack of a door on the shower. It was like half of a sliding door or something. Kinda weird, in my opinion. The location is very close to Bush Gardens and Water Country USA, so we were in for a treat with the weekend fireworks display. I was a little hesitant about this place initially as there weren't many reviews available. However, I would definitely book this spot with confidence. When we return to Williamsburg, I would definitely stay here again.

She was super attentive and even got us tea and wine to relax with that evening! And she had great suggestions of where to go in Williamsburg. The property itself is well maintained and absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in Dolly's room which is actually located in a cottage in the back of the property but there are plenty of gorgeous rooms available inside. They were also very attentive to my dietary needs. I have celiac disease so they made sure to make something I could eat for breakfast. I highly recommend this place to everyone. It's gorgeous and the owners are absolute peaches. The holiday decor was amazing, so I suggest going in the winter time. We loved it, we'll definitely be back!

You have the 2 hour slot to use and walk around for as little or as long as you'd like. The company was VERY organized and thorough with information beforehand and updating us on the weather. As well as accommodating, offering ticket holders to come earlier that day or next day with the weather! I didn't get the sunset pictures I wanted but a muddy rain night with the statues is a cool trade off! Worth it to see.

There were different 2-hour times that you can choose from when I bought the tickets. A full day pass is also available that allows you to enter multiple times in a day. The organizers send emails containing directions to get to the place, tips and other reminders. When they tell you not to wear pretty shoes, listen. Even though it had not rained for the past week when we went, there were areas that were really muddy. Wear boots. Went here on a Saturday afternoon. There was a short orientation at the start near the registration area then we went to the heads of the presidents. It was a cool experience seeing all these huge busts of the presidents. Two brief talks during the visit were (1) trivia about the presidents and (2) history of the place/presidents' heads. A gift shop at the entrance/exit had magnets, postcards, tree ornaments, posters, etc. Had a great time here and was lucky to get those tickets ahead of time because they run out quickly.

Supposedly this is the only public crossing of the river. I honestly thought this was a drawbridge when I was crossing it but come to find out it is a double swing bridge. Very interesting when you think about it. As the bridge looks unassuming when you approach. It was a toll bridge in the past, twice. Once rebuilt and bonds paid off, the toll was lifted. It is now free to cross and makes for a quick passage into the area and heading out of the area.

This swing bridge is about 3/4 of a mile long and had four lanes making it slightly vexing for lily-livered drivers like me. Have I mentioned I hate crossing bridges? It's claim to fame is that it's the largest double swing-span bridge in the U.S. and is the second largest of its kind in the world! Not bad for a little historic town in Virginia. It was named after George Coleman, head of the Dept. of Highways and Transportation in the early 1900's. There is a bicycle lane crossing if you're courageous enough to brave the traffic! And if you are one of those noble souls, you have my full "support"!

Life is slower when traveling by the Jamestown Scotland Ferry, and it's so much fun!…read more To go across the James River, you can fight traffic on I-64, or sit back and let the ferry captain do the driving. The ferry crosses the James River from either Jamestown or Scotland/Surry. The pleasant (about) 15-minute ride allows you to park your car on the ship and walk the decks to see seagulls or osprey flying by, water lapping the sides, and the oh so gorgeous view. The ferry has an upper viewing deck too, as well as restrooms. The ride is free and runs often at least twice an hour. Check their website for the schedule. Occasionally you may be randomly selected for a car check by security before boarding. This is done on the car with mirrors, but they check your trunk. It's pretty quick. Enjoy!
