Our driver Keith picked us up from church and was so friendly. He was on time and considerate We're from Oklahoma and will be here for several months due to work so I'll definitely call them, again. It cost I think $15 from one end of the town to our hotel (one way) Not too shabby for Williamsburg read more

We called Colonial Capital Cab midweek to make reservations for Sunday morning early. They called back on Saturday to confirm and arrived on time at the hotel on Sunday. Our driver Abdullah was great and helped with our luggage. Will use again next time in Williamsburg. read more

DID NOT SHOW UP! After calling the day before and receiving confirmation for a 5am pickup from our b&b to get to the Richmond airport - no one showed up. We called and texted (thats how confirmation was provided) but no response. With no Ubers, we had to frantically call other taxi companies at 5:15 to try to get to the airport on time. One hour after they were supposed to pick us up, still no word. If you actually need to get somewhere by a certain time, do not use this company. read more

Called for a cab at 10:30am to pickup at 4:30pm. No car ever came, and calls to the service went to the answering machine. Ended up having to have a friend get me, or I would have missed my train. Very unprofessional. read more

I usually don't write reviews but this one had to be done. They are not as reliable as their five star review states. My airport pick up was on time and Abdullah the driver was great. I called the night before my return trip to confirm. At 5:25 in the morning I received a text indicating their cabin had been in an accident and they would not be able to pick me up. Surely they have more than one cab. They are also listed as Colonial Cab read more

I can't say enough good about Colonial Capital Cabs and the driver. From the first call to the last drive home the service was professional, courteous, and helpful. I received a call when they were on their way for pickup and due to my plane arriving late they made the adjustment in a very pleasant manner and I received a call when they arrived at the airport for pickup to let me know they were there. The driver treated me as he would his wife, mother or sister with the utmost respect. Ladies, if you have to travel alone and at night rest assured Colonial Capital Cabs provides safety and security and were on time, Both were my major concerns and they were both exceeded. Just call Colonial Capital Cabs and relax!! Linda Aleksa read more

Zuhair is the best. Kept in contact with us about pick up. Vehicle was clean and comfortable. He was pleasant and personable. Welcoming! Would use him and ColonialCapitolTaxi again in a flash! read more

These guys are good. On the day we arrived, we asked the front desk to get us a cab and they called Colonial Capital Cabs. We used them from then on. They were good at estimating how long it would take them to arrive. Also, they are honest. If you need a cab by a certain time and they know they can't make it, they tell you when you call and suggest another cab company, so you aren't left hanging. Their fleet is all vans. I have arthritis in my knees and feet and it is easier for me to sit in the front. They never gave me a problem about this. (Some taxi drivers give me grief about it.) They never grumbled if we used a debit or credit card to pay. (I had one guy once who complained the entire way to my house about my needing to use a credit card.) The night before we needed to go to the airport we arranged with one driver for a pickup in the morning, which would be done by a different driver. I was a little apprehensive as I've been stood up before. Not this time. Our driver was there on time. They have a flat airport rate so there were no uncertainties about cost. Also they drive carefully and within the law. On the way in from the Richmond airport we had a cab driver from another company who was sometimes going over 80 and weaving in and out of traffic. My only suggestion is a minor one: One of the drivers really needs to clean his cab. There was quite a bit of junk in there and it was a bit smelly. Otherwise, cabs were clean. All the drivers were professional and friendly. read more

Ok, I know what you're thinking. Why is Laura L. writing a review for a cab? More importantly, in the middle of the boonies?! Well, here's why: I have never had a more cheerful, friendly and warm cab ride (scratch that: multiple cab rides) with a better cab service, none other than Colonial Capital Cabs. I was away on business in Williamsburg, Va and worst of all: without access to car. I hopped into a cab from the train station, en route to my hotel. My cabbie was chatty and friendly (and definitely should not have been involving himself in any heavy lifting, ie: my luggage) but insisted on doing so. What a guy. He gave me his card and just as a matter of convenience, called him for all of my subsequent cab rides throughout the duration of my visit. I called well in advance for cab to make sure he was on-time (as you would do in the VA/DC area), but he told me to call back, closer to the time I want to leave, citing that he was only within a 5-10 minute radius. Sure enough, he was! I called him 5 minutes before I had to leave and he was ready, at my hotel, trunk popped and ready to go. For my two subsequent rides, it was a similar level of service-- quick, reliable, attentive and friendly. I guess the notion of Southern hospitality is lost in Northern Va (yes, Virginia is under the Mason Dixon line, the last time I checked so it still counts as "the South") but clearly in Williamsburg, it's another story. Every encounter, namely the one with Colonial Capital Cabs, was an especially hospitable one. read more

Laura L. Is right! Used her review to choose a cab when the yellow line failed to show up at Busch Gardens. Our driver came immediately and drove us promptly back to Anvil Campgrounds, right to our site! He was friendly without being overly talkative and very sweet with my kids. He even let my son's huge stuffed banana (he won it in the park) sit in the front seat and buckled it in. True southern hospitality! read more

Answered the phone right away, got me scheduled, picked me up at 3:45 in the morning, got me to the airport, super cool dude, couldn't be happier. They have people on the clock 24/7 so they can handle whatever times you need. Strongly recommended, love good businesses like this. read more

Awesome service, these guys are grea! Prompt, friendly, and fairly price. I have used them many times over the years and never had a complaint. I believe the fleet is all vans which has always come in handy for groups. read more

My husband and I needed a cab last night for the 4th of July celebrations and everyone was of course very busy. We found Colonial Capital Cabs to be so accommodating. The driver was so polite and thoughtful. We had a ride both ways with the same driver and he was on time despite being so busy. read more

I gave Colonial Capital Cabs the highest rating I can. Would have given them 10 stars. They hit it out of the park, especially after just hanging up on another cab company that tried to gauge my daughter 2.5 times what the fare was worth. The Colonial Capital Cab associate was extremely thorough, respectful, honest, fair, and diligent. They called prior to arriving to confirm and the cab arrived to the minute it was scheduled. The driver was fantastic, punctual, and professional. Cannot recommend this cab company enough. If we are in a bind again, they will be my first (AND ONLY) call! read more

This taxi service, at least for me, was very good. My car broke down on I-64W on the way to the Richmond airport. In a double panic I searched my phone for the nearest taxi companies so that my friend wouldn't miss her flight. These guys said they would rush someone to BFE along the highway. It took 30 minutes- good time for a Friday after 5pm. And they were kind enough to not charge my friend for the mileage they incurred getting to us. She said the driver was really sweet, providing tissues and the like on the way to the airport. Also, he drove like the wind and she made it before boarding call. I can't say what they might be like normally, but in a serious bind they came through and I'm really grateful for their service. read more

This cab company was not running in March of 2021. We could have used a cab to get to Busch Gardens and the Amtrak station on various days. I had to hire a limo since not of the cab companies were working. If you go expect to walk and use the bus. The bus doesn't run to match the train schedule so beware. read more

My girlfriend was out of town and became incredibly sick, so I was hurriedly calling around to try and get her a ride to the doctor. She was short on cash, so I needed to find a company that would let me pay over the phone--not everyone can/does, that's fine, totally understandable. But when I called these people to ask about it, the guy informed me very snippily/somewhat condescendingly that the driver has to swipe the card, but he's got a machine in for it in the cab, so why would I want to read the card off anyway? I explained, again, why I needed to be able to pay over the phone, only for the guy to cut me off and explain again that "Ugh, no, the DRIVER has to swipe the card. Do you understand?" Yeah dude, got that the first time, you're the one who asked why that wasn't a solution to my problem. All the other places I called that were unable to help were at least polite about it, many even wishing me luck. I did finally find a place that was really professional and helpful, and my girlfriend made it to the doctor promptly--no thanks to these people. read more

Two great experiences with Colonial Capital Cabs! Planning to arrive in Williamsburg at 9 pm via Amtrak, I made and confirmed a reservation with another taxi company to be picked up and taken to my hotel...I waited & waited, but that taxi never showed up. The nice woman managing the Transportation Center called and they still didn't come...finally, she suggested trying Colonial Capital Cabs...she called Colonial Capital and they had a cab there to pick me up in 10 minutes. The driver was very nice and professional...cab was clean and comfortable. Needless to say when the time came for me to leave Williamsburg, I called Colonial Capital Cabs. The driver was at my hotel within 15 minutes of calling. The driver was also super nice and professional; and, the cab was clean and comfortable. read more

Great taxi ride. Lost my keys at Busch gardens and he got me back to get the spare set and then waited to take me back to the car. Got there real fast cause the kids were crying. Great conversation and a terrific experience. read more

I wrote a review about this company a while ago, unfortunately it was just posted because my account on here has just been verified. In the year that has passed since I wrote the first review my opinion of this company has drastically changed. The driver and I had communication issues, but as soon as I entered the cab I apologized for it. The cab driver began to yell and lecture me about how I was a waste of his time and his gas money. He then decided to swerve violently to the point of almost hitting a parked car and tell me to get out. I told him that he had been hired because I needed to go somewhere and so he let me stay in but not without yelling again "you can stay but you have to CHILL OUT". He then sped off and drove way past the speed limit in order to expedite the process of me getting out of his car. On the rest of the drive, after he had lectured me for just a little more, I was silent. I was so completely disturbed by the way that he was driving with me in the car. He was clearly angry and I felt very unsafe. I stayed quiet out of the fear that I had, I was afraid that if I spoke anymore he would drive even more recklessly. About an hour later I called the manager to tell him what happened. He refused to listen. He basically told me that it was my word against the drivers, and he had known the driver for a long time and had already heard the story from the driver. He brought my parenting into the issue, and he basically tried to shut me up the whole conversation. He finally told me "look if you think were being unprofessional then I will gladly give you the number for another cab service." It was at that point that I realized that the conversation was futile and that the manager himself was not concerned about the safety of one of his customers. I will be reporting them to the VA Taxicab Commission as well as the Better Business Bureau. Congrats Colonial Cabs, you've lost another loyal customer. read more

We were a family of 5 with 10 suitcases for a visit in Williamsburg, Va. We were arriving by train and got Colonial Capital Cabs to take us to our Hotel. They had a very nice clean van that the driver put all of our luggage in and drove us to the hotel. He was very kind and helpful and the conversation was enlightening and amusing after a long train trip. We called on this company whenever we wanted to visit anywhere in Williamsburg. All the drivers were kind and had good conversation to and from wherever we needed transportation to. We thank them all for their kindness and especially to Hammad. For anyone visiting Williamsburg, make this your transportation call, you will not regret it. From the 5 of us in OHIO, Thank you so very much. read more

So nice, on time, and our driver even stopped at Bojangles drive-through on the way to the airport! Thank you Hamad!

I had to make a quick run on the clock to the local Farm Fresh and my driver was training a new guy and I got the friendliest service I have ever had from a driver. He was very prompt and gave service with a smile. Very clean van, even smelled great. The price he quoted me over the phone was $20, he charged me $15 to stay true to his word of my fare being under $20. And the fact that he was training someone at the same time, he is definitely the right example of what great customer service should be. If you're ever in Williamsburg and need a lift, I would most definitely recommend giving Hamed a call. Hands down most enjoyable ride I ever had to pay for! :) read more

It would have been cheaper by mile then my flat rate to the airport which should always be cheaper. The driver asked when we had to catch a flight, we replied soon. He then continued just to sit in my driveway as he said good luck. Historic taxi told me $50 flat rate which usually how it is and I have been to cities around the country to know this. read more

I got home from the Williamsburg train station only to discover my cell phone missing. Calls to the train and bus offices were answered by a useless automated system. I chanced to call Colonial Cabs, having noticed one at the station. This man could not have been more helpful. He agreed to drive over to the train station to see if my phone was in the lot--it wasn't. He talked to the train master--no luck. He then contacted the police and helped me file a report. Colonial Cabs went so far beyond the call of duty! If this is how they help me when I'm not even using their service, imagine how well fare-paying customers will be served! read more

On time. Friendly. Called me back to confirm time and pick up location. Who does that anymore? Yeah service! Reasonable prices.

Horrible service. Said would pick up in 30 minutes and then took an hour and 15 minutes after repeated calls, and was abusive when confronted with lateness. Never again! read more
