Needed to make cab arrangements to get to RIC. This was back in October, and I am still waiting for a return call.

How reliable is this company for being on time if I were to make a prescheduled appointment for pick-up and return pick-up for a medical procedure?

Scheduling a pickup in advance is a good way for us to get you to your destination on time.

The dispatcher said it would be $10, which was not too bad for a mile's journey. When I got in the car, this is how it played out: 1. Driver asks: "What time is your train?" 5:42 AM. Oh, and by the way, the dispatcher told me $10. 2. "This cab's on the meter. It may be a LOT, LOT more because the road is closed." (Translated: Ah! Now that I know we have almost an hour to make the train, I'll take this ignoramus woman senior citizen for a ride.) It's only less than a mile. "Yes, but with the road closed, we have to go all the way out of our way." Well, I took the WATA public transportation bus and it only took five minutes. "Umm... well... yes..." (Goes the right way, no detours. I mentally decided not to tip him,of course.) 3. Arrive at Amtrak. No one there, station closed, woman alone with this loser, old expression: "A thief is a murderer." Meter reads $7.25. Nice. Well, that's nice, I exclaim. He pushes it up to $8.75. It said $7.25. "Well, the mileage on the right is added to the total on the left." I hand him $10. "Thank you very much." May I have my change? "Yes, yes." Hands me a dollar, keeps 25 cents out of the $8.75. Which is $1.50 more than the original $7.25. I decided not to bicker, got out, grabbed my stuff and waited until I got home (miles away) to report it. There are many crooks. He was one. But if the company had profusely apologized, said they'd deal with him? Guess what? Not so much as an email back.

I'm only giving one star because there's not a "negative" option…read more I didn't even ride in one of their taxis, but considering my experience, I'm glad I didn't, because I sure wouldn't have felt safe! I was leaving work to go home for lunch like I do every day. While pulling out onto the main road (Mooretown Rd.) I saw that the first traffic light was red, but was about to turn green. Since there were 4-5 cars in the right lane, and no one in the left, I accelerated and turned on my turn signal to get over. I looked in my mirror and this car was FLYING. The speed limit on this road is 45, having just gone up from a 35 mph section. I sped up so I wouldn't be stuck behind the stopped vehicles. By the time I felt I could safely change lanes, I did so and looked down only to see I was doing almost 60 mph and the cab was still gaining on me. Once I made it through the intersection, I looked in my rearview and couldn't even see the cab's headlights (still at about 60 mph). I tapped my brakes to slow down and the driver slammed on their brakes then changed lanes. I slowed down further to get the cab's information only to see it was a very young woman driving the cab. Upon calling the number, I got a busy signal several times. Once I saw her again, she was on the phone, and refused to make eye contact with me each time. Once I was home, I was finally able to get through and asked if I was speaking to a dispatcher or a driver. I was informed it was the driver I was speaking to. I asked if she was in an office or in a car. Her response was, "Why? Are you calling to complain, because you cut me off?" I answered back, "No, I'm calling because you were doing over 60 mph in a 45 mph zone and tailgating me at that speed." I never got another response, she just hung up on me. Upon reading the one other review here on yelp.com, it appears as though they apparently make specific appointments for pickups and ask people to call back when they may have a fare in the cab. Apparently, they don't want to scare their fare by writing while driving. Either way, if these are the driving habits they maintain while en route to pick up a potential fare, I'll pass. I have children getting ready to start driving. I don't want them to have to be on the road with idiots like this.
