We did the American Story Tour with Matt as our guide. He is probably the best bus driver ever and he is also quite the history scholar. Matt shared so many interesting facts with us about each place we visited. He sparked our interest to read more about it after our vacation was over. Keith provided the bus transportation for our school's 8th grade class trip last week in Washington D.C. and the surrounding area. His careful driving and professionalism was unparalleled. As a chaperone, I never once in that bus felt concern for the safety of the 34 fourteen year olds that we were responsible for. He was kind, informative and engaging. We used Oleta due to their enviable reputation in the area. The trip to Richmond was on time and met all expectations. After three weeks in Europe and lots of shopping we were overloaded with baggage on return. Three large suitcases, two computers, one a 17th incher and the weight is over 20lbs when in it's case. When my wife and I landed at RIC, we were surprised that there was no one from Oleta to meet us. We waited for the luggage with me carrying the very large laptop and my wife carrying her purse and the smaller laptop. When the luggage started coming out, my wife stood by my computers whilst holding her purse and her computer. When I collected the three large suitcases, we were concerned that there was not transportation back to home (50 miles distant) nor help with the luggage. 15 minutes or so later the driver finally arrived and all of us transported the luggage to the Limo. Ultimately the owner disavowed their airport service and indicated that airport transportation was not their business, transporting executives was their business (they do have many busses which may be their main business). I was disappointed and was quite surprised that the owner never really apologized for the shoddy service (the driver was new and very polite, but..). The most difficult part is the owners reputation is excellent in Williamsburg and a real apology in my view would have been appropriate and would have cost the owner naught.. read more

Betty R 5 Star Tour Company and Tour Director! Took the one day tour from Williamsburg VA to Washington DC at the end of March 2021. Great Experience!!!! Can't match any bus tour to Washington DC for their price. It was an all-day tour. The Bus was clean, and they practiced COVID protocols. Felt safe and comfortable all day. Matt (or maybe Robert cannot remember but he is one of the owners) is knowledgeable and gave an interesting factual tour of a large portion of the city, we even had an option in the afternoon of 1 of 3 places to visit for a couple of hours on our own. They dropped each group off and picked us back up. Gave us a personal choice which was nice. Not sure if they do that all the time. Only thing I did not realize but should have is that Arlington National Cemetery tour is a walking tour not riding on a tram. Saw many highlights including Changing of the Guard at Tomb of Unknown Soldier and Kennedy gravesites, etc. Could sit and rest and catch up with the Group easily. It was a long day, but Matt made it personal and fun, and we had a great day! I would highly recommend this company and tour. It is a stress-free way to visit Washington DC. I am not one who leaves a lot of reviews, but they deserve a 5 Star Review. Would tour with them again for sure. They delivered on all that they advertised. Great Experience. read more

We just finished the historic triangle tour with Matt today. It's the best tour that we had for this visit. We went to Jamestowne settlement and Yorktown which are both places that I highly recommend when you are in the area. Matt was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all the questions we've had. Fun tour as well! It should be great even for the kids. They re-enact areas for the revolutionary war, Jamestowne in the 1600s, etc. Just awesome! read more

We woke up at 4:30am for the 6:30am departure of our Washington DC tour from Williamsburg. Our first stop was at a large mall near the Pentagon for a quick bite to eat and restroom break. Next was Arlington Cemetery where we took a walking tour to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers and saw the changing of the guard ceremony. Our guide, Matt, was pleasant and informative. A trolley ride was available for a fee, but you had to do a lot of walking in 90+ degree weather to stay with the group. We managed, but some older folks in the group were struggling a little. We also stopped at the Lincoln Memorial, Capital Building, FDR Memorial, Korea Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Marine Core Memorial, and White House. We got a 2 hour break to roam on our own. We got to see the Natural Science Museum, which was awesome. The bus had an issue with the ac in the latter part of the tour, but they managed the situation flawlessly without inconveniencing the guests. We got an extra shopping stop while we waited for a replacement bus. Overall, it was a long, fun-filled, informative day. This was the perfect way to see DC in a day! No way we could have seen all this on our own in one day. Highly recommend! read more

My family and I were just dropped off at our hotel after spending the day with Robert who drove us to DC and back to Williamsburg for a private tour of our nations capitol. Robert, in addition to being extremely knowledgeable, was also very accommodating making time for meals and rest stops for me and my family. My family ranges in age from 19 to 76 and Robert made certain that we were all comfortable. Our large school group (112 people) just finished a week with the Oleta group. We started in Jamestown, Washington D.C. and then New York City. Brian, another gentleman whose name escapes me and Uncle Mark were great. They had knowledge and insights that our hired guides did not. The buses were clean and well maintained. We took a bus tour from Williamsburg, VA to Washington DC with Matt Smith as our tour guide and bus driver. What a wonderful time we had and how interesting Matt made it for all of us. He made sure it was light and cheery, yet filled with information and laughter.
